Pas de stationnement malgré que c’était indiqué dans la description de l’hôtel, et ça nous a causé des problèmes. Oubliez complètement cet hôtel si vous avez une auto. Pas de réception…. ca non plus c’est pas commode, autant prendre un Airbnb.

Beautiful property and very convenient location to Old Town. The one downside is parking. I read somewhere that the property had parking, but it turned out to not have any. We were lucky enough to find parking nearby when we arrived, but then we didn't want to drive anywhere after that for fear of losing our parking spot. Otherwise, everything with this hotel was great!

The room was good, bed was comfy and it was nice to have the jacuzzi in there. The location was great because it was so close to the port and shops. Our room was ground floor directly onto the street so it was a little noisy with neighbours. The reception is only open when you organise with Renia over Whatsapp, so you need to plan on advance when you want to check-in and leave your luggage. Only negatives were some days our towels were taken but we weren't given any more so we didn't have hot tub towels and only one large towel between us and no reception to collect more from. We also found out that there was an occupied building nearby by anarchists that had recently been taken back. There were then protests outside the hotel and riot police around for days. Not the fault of the hotel but I can imagine that will be ongoing.

The room itself was stunning in design and function. Lovely oasis in the heart of Chania! My only issue was finding the place. For some reason my maps app didn’t like the link sent and I do better with Apple Maps. But I was stressed, it was getting late etc. Manager met me upon arrival and was very kind and helpful and sites to see, gave me a map etc. also directed me to a nearby parking lot where I was able to park for free! Manager also clarified the actual address which helped because then I was able to input that into my preferred maps app and found my way back easily every time I ventured away. Overall I recommend this place for a fabulous stay!

The property has a small window with some sea view.the aircondition was set to a fixed temperature that did nothing for winter times so the house was cold. the fridge was leaking water out on the floor. there was only one key for two people.

We went during the off season so they only inconvenience was not having 24/7 service. We just had to let them know what time we were arriving so there was someone at the front desk. Didn't have too much trouble finding the place and it was an easy walk to the main square. Our room didn't have the best view but again very minor issue.

A well-appointed room that exceeded expectations. However, noise from outside could be heard, affecting the tranquility. The check-in and check-out policies were unclear, and a pre-booking verification is recommended. Despite these inconveniences, the room quality made it a worthwhile stay.

I absolutely loved this property! The location was ideal for walking to restaurants and local bars. The room was one of the most unique rooms I’ve ever stayed in. It was beautiful and clean, and had a nice view of the port. The staff reached out to me ahead of time to ensure that they were there to show us to our room. It’s a lovely boutique hotel with so much history. I would definitely stay there again!

Madonna Del Mare was a pleasant surprise upon opening the door. The room was beautiful. It was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. The AC was cold on the blistering hot 100 degree days. The location is perfect and walking to the shops and restaurants of old town takes only minutes. Parking was a bit of a challenge but that’s to be expected in this location. The front desk staff provided directions on where to attempt parking and we eventually found a spot that was not too far away.

Great place!
The Madonna del Mare is a sweet spot, close to everything. Our room was spacious, clean and comfy. Our hosts were thoughtful and informative. Great view from our room!

Great hotel in an old building located in the very center of the historical part. Nice atmosphere, great stylish interiors, comfortable bed, big bathroom. The host was very nice. One of the best boutique hotels!

Great location and modern updated room. Everything is walking distance to the harbour and everything in Old City Chania. No front desk, but property manager was very helpful and accessible by mobile phone. Located on a narrow street, with limited parking so keep that in mind if renting a car.

The hotel is unique in that it was once a monastery which has been converted into beautiful hotel rooms. The decor is modern with great style and touches. It’s well located within walking distance of the old harbor full of restaurants, shopping and sunset views. I highly recommend staying at Madonna Del Mare.

Une expérience inoubliable
Séjour de 3 nuits du 19 au 22 septembre 2018 dans la suite Brigitte Bardot. La restauration de cette vieille bâtisse en hôtel de charme est une superbe réussite. La qualité des matériaux utilisés, le confort et la décoration sont dignes d' établissements très haut de gamme. L'hôtel est composé de 3 chambres pour le moment, il n'y a pas de réception, avant votre arrivée Vangelis le boss vous contactera pour convenir du rendez-vous et vous réservera une place de parking gratuite. Cette précision a son importance car la chambre est située dans la vieille ville, avec une superbe vue sur le port Vénitien. D'une disposition atypique vous trouverez dans la chambre un très grand lit ultra confortable avec un grand écran plat, une douche italienne, un wc séparé, 2 vasques,un coin salon avec un autre grand écran plat, réfrigérateur, coffre, Nespresso, bouilloire à thé et la vaisselle pour se restaurer, penderie avec peignoirs et chaussons. Le bouquet final c'est la superbe petite terrasse privative qui domine le grand arsenal. La situation géographique est idéale, à 2 pas du vieux port et de tous les restaurants. A savoir l'hôtel ne propose pas de petits déjeuners, un accord avec le restaurant Le Pallas a été passé, mais nous nous n'avons pas été satisfaits du rapport qualité prix (15 € / personne), si bien que le 2e jour nous avons trouvé notre bonheur dans la vieille ville.

Amazing Amazing Amazing. Everything about this hotel/suite is amazing. Amazingly set up interiors in a historical building, very creatively set up. We were on our honeymoon and this was the best hotel experience so far. Our hotel contact waited for us outside the hotel to help us park and amongst other things, had wine for us waiting in our rooms in a decanter! The location is right at old town. Everything was just awesome.

Stunning apartment in perfect location
We wanted to stay in the heart of the old town and we're lucky to find a room available here at this almost new apartment in an old monetary, overlooking the harbour. The arrangement to meet Vangelis to access the apartment was very convenient and he showed us around the space and made good recommendations for eating out locally. The room was perfectly clean and tidy when we arrived, and was serviced each morning. Fruit, wine and biscuits were a nice touch and there was also tea and coffee. One piece of earning, although there is an off road private parking space adjacent to the property, we had very great difficulty getting out of it, because of some inconsiderate parking by others....and we were only driving a Fiat Panda!

Nice room in downtown Chania.
Great location, great room. It's a bit confusing at first, though. No lobby or anything. You meet up with the owner and he lets you in and gives you the tour. Creative use of a historic property, coupled with a clean, modern interior. Both rooms have a sitting room and a bedroom, so it's rather convenient and pretty comfortable.
