The Best Hotel
Of course there nicer and fancier hotels around the world but when everything together considered, this hotel is one of the best hotel experience one can get. Perfect location and the views, outstanding staff with excellent English proficiency, lovely outside jacuzzi and more. Hotel run by the 4th generation owner adding rich heritage is just an icing on the cake.

Wow! What a property! My wife and I stayed at the Belvedere Swiss Quality Hotel on Oct. 16 for just one night in the “Classic - Double -or Twin Room, Balcony, Mountainview (Eiger), Air Condition” room. It was an amazing room with the best view from our balcony of the Eiger glacier and the town of Grindelwald! The front desk staff greeted us warmly and answered all of our questions about the hotel and the area. The hotel is walking distance from the train station which is also walking distance from all the shops in town. We supremely enjoyed their breakfast (which isn’t included with our stay but is extremely worth it) which had so many local options. Their wait staff was also so accommodating and pleasant. It is a higher priced hotel, but if it’s possible for you to afford this hotel, I promise that it is well worth the price! Do not hesitate to book it!

The location was excellent and our room was nice. Corner room with beautiful views. Compared to other hotels that we stayed in during our visit to Switzerland, this hotel was well overpriced. The breakfast was good, but we did not enjoy the dinner that we ordered. Very expensive and not very good. I would not recommend this hotel.

Now, I’m going to be honest. The rooms are not updated or fancy…more like a holiday inn….but the staff more than makes up for the simple/old rooms. Every single person was so nice, kind, and helpful. Georgia was especially helpful to us! We appreciated her advice! The outdoor deck was beautiful, and the restaurant was fantastic! Also, the location could not be better with amazing views.

Customer service was just ok, should be more friendly. The only person was friendly a whole time was the little young man with a long name that worked on that day when we arrived but the other one wasn't friendly at all. I forgot the name of this guy but if you mention it, I would know. He offered to came down to join the welcome drink in the evening which I believed was 6.30 or 7 pm & he tried to introduced us to the owner & his son. I thought this young man was great for customer service. I saw a certificate on the wall that he recognized did a great job. Hotel should have a coffee machine to make coffee instead of pot to boil hot water for my opinion. Also should have bottle of water at least 1 for each guest instead of go get water from a faucet.

Regarding bottle of water in the room, we think that the water from the faucet, which is fresh water from a mountain well, same quality as bottled mineral water or even better, as fresh, is a better idea, especially for sustainable reasons. Highly recommended
Initially was a little disappointed since the hotel is not as modern, however this was very quickly replaced with a real appreciation around the level of service and comfort. Every employee are friendly and helpful, even with the effort that was made in order to help get the hybrid vehicle charged. The food is great, Jonathan the bar man made any possible drink and the spa is lovely. It also has the best view from their patio.

Of course renovated several times, however we think that it is ok, that our guests can feel and even see, that they are staying in a very traditional hotel. Best view in the world.
Highly recommended hotel. very nice breakfast. very nice location. friendly staff. safe. swimming pool was great specially the outdoor pool :P . The bed was not comfortable for me but for my wife is good she like it but I don't. However they offer me to change the room but we have agreement to satay for the same which is they are ready to help and support thank you all. the room has a best view I ever had in my experience. clean room. very good restaurant view. The manager sent us a kind chocolate gift thank you so much and will come again for sure.

Lost its magic.
This is the 2nd time we stayed at this hotel. The 1st time the experience was simply magical. We loved everything from the room with the scenery to the food to chatting with the owner himself. This time, not sure what happened, dinner was not as good in the restaurant and service quality has declined. We waited for the bartender for 20 minutes with no service, so we left without ever enjoying our welcome drinks. Maybe covid is to blame.

Dear guests, many thanks for having chosen to stay a 2nd time at the Belvedere. We are very sorry to hear, that unfortunately you made some unpleasant experiences. It is not Covid to blame. We have a new Chef, who achieved Gault&Millaut points in the restaurant where he worked before. Since he is with us, we get even more compliments than before for the food we serve. We are really very sorry to hear, that your dinner was not of the quality you expected. Why the bartender did not show up, hard to know but of course that should not have happened. We apologize. The bartender gets replaced by a waiter during half an hour, during his dinner break. May be the waiter replacing him did not realize, that you have not been served. We have a lot of guests, sitting on the terrace or in the lounge, who are not wanting to order any drinks. I was by the way every evening in the restaurant and was chatting with as many guests as possible. However as we on some evenings got twice the number of guests than expected, they needed me to help them serving the guests. Again we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused. Had low expectations, but is succeeded and beyond. A great stay with a personal touch. Usually stay in more exclusive hotels, but this was equally or in many ways a better experience. The rooms are clean and nice, but not luxurious, but the staff and the owner family being present and personal, the pianist in the restaurant, made the difference.

値段も高い分、サービスはとても良くスタッフが皆感じが良かった。食事がすごく美味しいとの評判で、一度ディナーを食べたが、コロナの影響でfixのコースメニューだけとのことでアラカルトは無かった。そのせいか、食事はちょっと期待以下でした。コロナではない時にもう一度食べてみたいです。 部屋はコロナで空いていたからでしょう、アイガービューにワンランク上げてくれたので良かったです。 宿泊後にホテルからお礼のメールと絵葉書が届きました。

Vers nice hotel in a dream location
Despite a little misunderstanding when we arrived, we had a great stay. All the staff is at your disposal to satisfy you by seeking the best solutions. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff are lovely and very attentive. We will definitely be back.

Very friendly people. Nice lounge and amazing spa. big room with comfortable beds. Everything was perfect.

Good Hotel
Hotel was good. Service at the restaurant was extremely slow and the waitress did not have enough knowledge about the food, but everything else at the hotel exceeded expectations.
