Dear Enrico. We really appreciate our guests’ opinions. They really mean a lot to us. Indeed we are a boutique hotel specialized in providing our guests with authentic experiences from our Cuban culture. Since the owners bought the property they have been continuously restoring it to recreate the atmosphere of the epoch it was built; the 30s of the last century. Most of our guests say the hotel looks like a museum with original antiques and interior decoration. Rooms on the other hand have everything a traveler needs to feel perfectly comfortable at. The hotel is located exactly in the center of Havana. A perfect spot for those who love walking as we always say if you really want to know Havana you need to walk it. We know you and your friend Alberto spent much of your time trying to change your flight ticket to another date. We also helped you doing it. Nevertheless we are truly sorry you couldn’t enjoy your havanacations as you would wish and we hope there will be a second chance to make you change that opinion. Undoubtedly we will carefully review every item you mentioned.We share with our guests our culture to make you live and experience our traditions, in particular our Cuban cuisine. Our breakfasts are rich in fresh, organic vegetables, tropical fruits of different types, natural fruit juices, along with bread, butter, homemade jam, eggs, cheese, ham, coffee, milk and tea. It is a Cuban traditional breakfast rich in everything that contains water because of our weather conditions as humidity is almost 90% most of the time. You had breakfast only 2 times at the hotel. We would have upgraded it to a premium breakfast if you would have requested us as you considered it had little variety.We helped you with transportation at your request, because you didn’t like the airport pickup service you booked yourself, though we mentioned in our online welcome message we could assist you with that transportation. You decided to cancel the transportation you booked to other destinations and instead asked us for last minute help. We assisted you to organize your own transportation. You negotiated prices and pickup times. It was your tourist operation, not ours.Cuba is an extraordinarily safe country. Havana’s crime index is the lowest in South America and the Caribbean and lower than in most European and North American cities. However we always emphasize in our welcoming chat with you to be cautious about people you get in touch with as you might end getting into trouble. We have the impression you didn’t follow our recommendations.We wish we could have the opportunity to welcome you back home again. We will make you a more glamorous breakfast and we will invite you to walk Havana streets with our own local guides in our personalized tours by non tourists places. Dear Engin,We hardly mention any misbehavior from our guests for basic ethical reasons. However, in this particular case it is worth mentioning that you and your Turkish friends are a two out of ten rating for us. You did not follow our hotel policies at any time.We constantly asked him to stop smoking in the rooms and to stop disturbing other guests by making noises in the middle of the night, or by being dressed incorrectly in public areas.
