bad surprise
I was surprised to find a fine on my car from Europark. I arrived at Holiday Inn hotel on Monday 9th October after Midnight, the parking area is located in the private area of the Hotel, no barriers, and ticket to take, I did not notice the road sign. I forgot to tell the reception I arrived by car, and they did not ask me while I was paying in advance my 2 night stay at the hotel. I have been travelling for business for 25 years, and normally when the parking area is not clearly closed with barriers,the reception inform the customer, and the parking fee is charged on the room bill. I did not notice the road sign the following day either. I only noticed the yellow fine on my car glass, just after I checked out. I came back immediately to the reception, asking them explanations, and then, at that moment they told me that the parking has to be paid, 10 € per day, but that I could not pay there any longer, because it was too late, and practically it was my fault because I did not inform them, and that I have to pay the fine of 60 €, only by swift. Honestly I have never found anywhere else such an unclear and unakward situation, When you park in a city center, at the airport, or other public areas, you are aware that you have to pay the parking. When you park in private area of a Hotel, either it is clearly defined, with barriers, ticket etc. or the reception inform the customer at the arrival. It looks like it was made on purpose to get more money than the due rate. Very rude

However, we have parking info stand in the check-in, all around the parking areas and also in the elevators. However, in additional our reception colleagues usually also ask about the parking. But unfortunately parking is guests own responsibility when they leave it in any parking areas. Still i feel sorry that the experience did not make a good feeling to you. And just to clarify, this parking area is supervised by another company not the hotel itself. We hope you understand the explanation and we hope to have you back in your future trips.

In una zona poco attraente, ma il suo punto di forza è la vicinanza all'aeroporto. ideale per l'ultima notte in Finlandia, per riposare e riorganizzare il bagaglio prima del volo. Personale alla reception molto gentile.

Getting around indoors is easy, and the Sauna's are top of the line. Breakfasts are exceptional as well, and staff are universally very friendly and helpful.

We had a brief but excellent stay at this airport hotel. The shuttle bus ran frequently and efficiently, the staff were friendly and helpful, the evening food was very good, and the breakfast buffet (which starts at 5 a.m.) was excellent. For what we needed, this was a perfect stay.

Had very good sleep, very quiet, bathroom working and clean soap and shampo but no toothbrush, bed soft and clean, TV flat screen many channels, iron in room good when you need fine shirt, big work table in room, many mirrors, and desk phone, coffee and te milk sugar in bags but electric kettle not working, wine glsses and regular glasses and cups, big closet and one chair, room sunny and bright, curtains clean and thick.

Nice, clean hotel with good front desk staff and a regular shuttle to and from the airport. Also bus stops nearby for getting into Helsinki easily.

It’s all about the staff. On 23 Feb there was a lady at the front seat from another location on her day off. She was amazing. Very professional, friendly, helpful, and really made my not so good day better. Of course the hotel was amazing, but her attitude and personality set the tone for the stay. Thank you so much, whatever your name is. The entire staff was great. Also, the service from the lady in the restaurant that particular night was exceptional. She was not the typical hostess. So friendly. Maybe Finland really is the happiest country? The room was clean and surprisingly quiet (the most important things to ME). The burgers at the restaurant were great. Try them. The hotel is within walking distance of the mall, and the shuttle to the airport was very convenient. I will defiantly book this facility again.

very nice and helpful team. In particular the clerk at the reception. Just beware of taxi stings at the airport. Wanted me 52 euros for a 5 minute ride.

The free shuttle is very helpful, but too infrequent if just every 30 minutes. The breakfast has lots of options, and generally tasty.
