We hope you enjoyed your stay despite our old fashioned look. We have kept the motel's original design since the owner opened the motel in the 50s-60s. Thanks for staying us!

We apologize for the misunderstanding, Yomel. The 100 that was collected from you at check in was the security deposit, it only places a hold on 100. We did not have reason to charge 100 as you left the room undamaged. Therefore, the hold expired the day you checked out, please check with your bank if you have not recovered the 100. We hope this clarifies the misunderstanding and hope you'll stay with us again.

It was ok
My shower was either cold or blisteringly hot. The water pressure was not great. Mattress was okay. Staff interaction was pleasant. People kept slamming the door to go to the outside all hours of the day and night.

We genuinely try our best to create such a pleasant, warm, welcoming, and enjoyable Guest Experience that they continue to stay with us every return trip to Hershey. We even have long time return guests that will go out of their way to make the drive to stay with us when they are passing thru PA on their ways to to other destinations. Which is why it disheartens us to hear you were anything less than happy with your stay. If we had been aware of your concerns during your stay, we absolutely could have moved your room to a quieter location and ensured that your shower water was more suited to your needs. We hope that you"ll consider giving us another opportunity to earn a more positive review/rating from you and to turn you into one of our many happy, returning Guests. We were a little worried about safety. House was divided into apartments only separated by a door chain. Very thin walls. Had to pay for WiFI. Pretty clean. Everything was extremely old. Convenient to Hershey Park

Deplorable conditions at Simmons in Hershey PA
I have already contacted hotels.com regarding the stay at Simmons. My grandson and I were given room 4. It was in such deplorable condition that I immediately asked the front desk for a different room. I was told that the only available rooms had kitchettes, and I would have to pay an extra 59 dollars for the night. It was late so we stayed. There was loud noise as if someone was moving furniture or scraping against walls, the sink had open holes under it (see pictures) the rug had black stains all over it. My grandson and I just waited for morning to leave. My daughter, Casey Mcguirt called hotels.com and they called and the person hung up. I went downstairs and was told the manager doesn’t come in until 9. I very nice woman in the front area told me that room 4 was not renovated and it is a very old room. I could not stay and wait for manager. We left. The manager called me later and said the room had been renovated and the rug is going to be replaced. He was rude and, honestly, he didn’t make much sense. You will see from the pictures.

No frills but very clean, efficient and friendly.
I just needed a place to lay my head for the night. Simmons definitely fit the bill. No frills. Basic, clean and friendly. I should have asked for a room with a desk tho. My bad. Outside noise continued into. the night. But nothing I couldn't handle. Next time will ask for room in the back.

Suitable stay
The motel was clean. Front desk staff was polite. It was a great location to be able to walk to dinner and cute shops. We stayed for one night only. The rooms were very retro-dated. Felt like I was in 'The 70's Show'. Staff could do better with the half-inch pillows but it was clean and that is all that I could ask for.

Cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem! Could not ask for a better location. The staff is so friendly, rooms are clean, has a quaint eclectic feel. It is an older property, so don't expect anything super modern or fancy, but it is our favorite place to stay when visiting Hershey! Highly recommend!

I had a great stay! The hotel was close to all the activities. There are a lot of bars and restaurants that are walkable. The front desk lady didn't have much of a personality.

I reserved a room to stay one night. I was surprised at the low rate and expected a motel and room that reflected the rate. However, the place was really nice on the outside. I went to the office to check in. After a great check in experience, the you lady working walked me to my room. The room was clean, spacious, really nice. When my wife de died she wanted an outward facing room, the clerk was more than helpful. The “upgrade” cost me $15 and we got another awesome room that we could park our car right outside of. In my opinion, 10 stars out of 5.
