Beautiful old house
What we loved the most was sitting on the screened in porch listening to the birds and frogs. Wifi was very good and breakfast was delicious.

A lovely B&B
Maureen was a lovely hostess and has a wealth of knowledge about all of Hawaii. She also makes a wonderfull breakfast. I will tell all my friends who come over to stay with her. We felt very comfortable staying there.

Lovely setting, lovely house.
Maureen was a great hostess. Enjoyed breakfasts and conversation with other guests. Lovely old house.

Classic Hawaiian B&B
A beautiful home just outside Hilo, we were very happy to stay at Maureen's B&B. Breakfast was delicious, and the house and gardens gorgeous. Maureen herself was super friendly and engaging. We were only there for one night, but we loved our stay!

It was a good three nights there and I enjoyed listening to the night time creatures because they lured me to sleep.

Very cozy and great breakfast and chat with other guests. But the floor is very dusty. Please bring your own slippers.

The hotel is ok. I was not happy with the room accommodation. My room looked dirty. The floor was not kept with paint stains on the wood floor. The closet stunk, looked like a storage. Nobody changed my bed sheets/ nor cleaned my room. Nobody cleaned the bathroom till the 4th night stay until we told Maureen about it. No lock on front door, no lock on our room.

Bed bug.
The host is good. But I experienced too terrible bed bugs during sleeping. I could not sleep during nights. So, i changed hotel. The rest of stay could not be refunded.

Nice Bed and Breakfast
Maureen was very nice and cooked an awesome breakfast. Needed a vehicle to get around this island to see other sights.

The hostess was very friendly and generous. The house was extremely interesting. Enjoyed meeting the other quests. We felt very welcomed!

ウミガメのいるビーチ近くのオールド・ハワイアンスタイルのB&B
オーナーのMaureenはとても親切で気さくな人です。こちらの英語力の問題であまりお話はできませんでしたが、つたない英語で話しかけると親切に対応してくれました。 ウミガメのいるビーチまで徒歩３分程で行くことが出来て、ウミガメと泳ぐことが出来ました。 オールド・ハワイアンスタイルの素敵な建物でした。古いだけに、夜、窓を閉めても多少のすきま風(ハワイとはいえ真冬の夜は冷えました)とカエルの大合唱と雨の音がとても近かったです。 部屋の鍵はなく、室内から針金のような？型のフックを◯型フックにかけるだけの簡単なものだったのには驚きました。 バス・トイレが二部屋共同だったり、チェックインタイム17時〜20時限定だったりと、普通のホテルのような快適さはありませんが、B&B初体験だったので、とても良い経験が出来ました。２泊で丁度良かったかも。 朝食のワッフルは最高でした！ 機会があれば、また行きたいです。

Maureen is amazing!
The cabin is well decorated and makes you feel at home. But what makes the place really special is Maureen herself. Nice breakfast with local banana and papaya every morning. She also tries her best to keep the room and bathroom clean with fresh towls after almost every use. She gives great tips about where to visit. Her husband Dean helps cut local fruits. You can easily tell that they enjoy what they are doing, not just for the money. Can't wait to go back! Something that you might wanna know is that there are no air conditioning. The location is dripping humid. There are those little frogs singing loudly from sunset to moon rise (they hate lights I am told). None of these bother us at all during the stay but one should know what to expect before booking.

Great stay!
Had a very nice stay at Maureen's Bed and Breakfast in Hilo. The house is huge, and if you don't mind sharing a bathroom, it's a great place to stay. Maureen makes a wonderful breakfast with juice, fresh fruit, and pancakes or waffles with a plethora of Hawaiian-inspired syrups to try. The house is in close proximity to local beaches with great snorkeling, waterfalls, the botanical gardens, and the downtown area. Maureen also supplies beach towels and other accouterments if you are planning to spend a day at the beach.

Just like home.
Maureen was great. A beautiful house making me feel like I was Hawaiian. Very quiet street with great nature sounds outside. Maureen also provided great site seeing advice.

Homely B&B
Very quiet, homely B&B, come and go as you please. Nothing was too much trouble for Maureen. As an example of this my wife was unable to walk up the stairs so Maureen changed our room to downstairs.

A true Hilo experience
Awesome place near Richardson beach. Maireen made breakfast for everyone in the mornings and I got to meet so many great people this way and share stories... made my trip and the breakfast was delish

Great relaxing stay
Building and furnishings terrific. Owner was friendly and made me very welcome. Very near the beach.
