“Parts of the house have been nicely decorated, but the lounge is tiny with barely room for 3 people, considering there are 4 double rooms. The Kitchen is really well equipped. The location is central, but the house is situated on a social housing estate. We worried about security/safety but were surprised how quiet it was at night. Some clever photographs make it look more modern than it is.”

“I couldn't fault this beautiful spacious home. It had everything we needed for the perfect family get away, and the playroom and trampoline in the garden got a big thumbs up from my grandchildren. The location was great for exploring everything that West Mersea has to offer, especially the seafood! Everyone went away feeling totally relaxed! One big thumbs up for me, was that John the owner greeted me at the property in person to show me how everything worked!”

We notified the owner, but did not hear back after the initial phone call. The water in the shower did not reach the showerhead, as it was leaking. So we could not shower. “There were NO towels which is not at all clear on your website. Luckily the cleaner had left the linin cupboard open. I think it is poor not to provide them, especially at the price! Also no dishwasher tablets- they are always provided and a pint of milk would have been nice. “Nice property - but easy to lock yourself out of front door if you leave the key inside. Clean and spacious You have to pick up key from estate agent in town and then pay £100 deposit... which is a bit annoying and unclear at time of booking...”

“Overall interior of the property was in relatively good condition. This was let down by the extremely run down exterior. Gutters and woodwork had hardly any paint left on them. The property itself was a great base with more than enough sleeping space for the 6 of us. The only downside that we noticed was the lack of a comfy sitting area after a long day of crabbing down on the jetty. “Travelled down for my brother's wedding and had all the family and friends from the states staying. The place was perfect for what we needed and there was plenty of space for us all. Plus the 3 toilets and 2 showers was very handy for everyone getting ready.”

“This apartment is of the very highest standard. Beautifully decorated, with everything you would ever need! The location is 2 mins walk to the town or beach. Although there is no parking at the property, there was lots of parking 1 min walk away. Highly recommended! ”
