Our room was not very clean. There were French fries on the floor at the foot of the bed and one of the two bath towels had what looked like fresh blood on it which was only visible after unfolding. The carpet had several stains and the drywall had damage in a few spots. Bed was ok and (thankfully) the sheets seemed clean (I hope).

There were NO staff on site. Nowhere on their website was it noted that the check-in would be virtual. Our room was not properly cleaned, and the first room assigned didn't even have the bed made up! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!

This property is in very poor repair and unclean. Not just the room, but the entrance and lobby were also nasty. Stained shredded carpet, broken fridge, shelf falling off the wall, missing baseboards along the floor, drywall dust along some of the carpet…most certainly NOT expected for a property charging this high rate during the off-season. Not sure what’s up with the virtual check-in kiosk, but we prefer properties that have actual staff visible and onsite.

I was not happy to find that there is no staff on site when you check in. you have to use a kiosk to check in. I do not feel comfortable with knowing that the kiosk now has my credit card information and my drivers license information and the lady on the kiosk was from the Philippians. you need to have local staff available. the breakfast is very limited. The rooms were sufficient with all the basic needs covered. as we were aware of at time of booking. very quiet area, no issues with noise, close to restaurants and easy to get to the ski hills. kept the parking lot plowed nicely.

There was definitely something scurrying around the room during the night, and the bathroom floor was not in great shape. The east entry area and outside smelled like someone lit up a joint right by the stairs. The “breakfast” was bagels and cereal, and the cream cheese packets weren’t sealed. There was a kiosk to check in and out (not a person). We decided not to stay any longer and checked out early.

It was very clearly in cleaned in laundered and genuinely gross no shower curtain either just a bad place to stay and there was no front desk person either they have a zoom connected person printing cards from a machine that takes forever. And all the food and drinks for breakfast were spoiled in the fridge

It is evident that it was not cleaned in a long time. There were dead bugs on the towel by the shower which was filthy. There was very dark hair strands all across the wall. SO GROSS plus the tv did NOt wok!!! Want my money back!!

Magnuson Hotel in Ironwood is a Pig-sty!!
Walked into Magnuson Hotel around 7:pm. No desk clerk only a kiosk. The breakfast room had not been cleaned since breakfast. Trash was overflowing. The place stunk badly! Another couple was trying to get help because their room was under construction. The mattress flipped up!! The manager walked out from the back, heard what we had to say and turned around and walked away!! The kiosk was not what we wanted at the time!! I could not possible stay there. Now, I am trying to get a refund. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!

We visit our hometown Ironwood often. Sometimes we stay here, getting 2 rooms. The rooms are comfortable. I'm glad you accept dogs! Maybe add some bushes, flowers (even if fake plastic flowers), some decor to make the outside look lively, inviting. The lobby is decorated with cute Halloween trimmings!

No live front desk person. Had to use the Kiosk to check in. Manager showed us our room to make sure someone cleaned it. Later when we went in the bathroom, a used washcloth was hanging over the shower rod. Breakfast had expired yogurt in the frig to eat.

Hotel room smelled like mildew-went to Walmart and bought an air purifier for stay. There was mold and spider webs behind our bathroom door. The room was damp feeling, am now sick post 2 day stay. Continental breakfast had 2.5 week expired yogurts in the fridge which was brought to staffs attention and they did not take them out of circulation. Did not ever see anyone using the actual housekeeping cart, nor were there any store bought cleaning bottles on it. The older man on site was very nice and as helpful as he could be. The rooms mostly appear clean, not sure how clean it actually is, though. Stayed here 4 years ago, will not be staying here again.

When we drove it to the hotel. I thought it was abandoned and a tear-down. Very disappointing! The whole property needs a lot of work. The kiosk check in was weird! The room was actually clean and the bed was comfortable but I wouldn’t take my socks off.

Bob was AMAZING! Having to check in and out with a virtual assistant on a kiosk was on point but it felt disconnected from the property. Strong odor in lobby. Very unkept. Although our actual room was clean the carpet seemed damp at times.

The kiosk check-in was weird, and the guy that checked us in was creepy, hard to understand, couldn’t suggest a place to eat. Said he needed my email address to send the receipt, never received one. Would I stay here again? Maybe, the manager, Bob, who we met the next morning, seemed committed to improving the place.

Check-in process using the kiosk was terrible. The kiosk froze partway through the check-in and left me stranded for half hour delaying me for the evening's planned activities. It worked ok when I returned several hours later - after my planned activity. The shower had very little water coming through the shower head and made for an interesting endeavor. The kiosk lady (Bel) indicated it'd cost an additional $50 for an extra hour or two of late checkout. Overall quite terrible service. Would not stay here again and would not recommend this place to anyone else.

The check-in was automated which we liked; easy and efficient. The hotel needs updating but the owner was great.

The place is a dump. No one at the property wgen we got here at 7 pm. Checked in with a virtual assistant.

Robo front desk, so inconvenient
The hotel is old, and shows its age and wear. Check in and out is HORRIBLE! It is done on a kiosk, the people on the screen are hard to understand, the connection is iffy, and we along with 5 other rooms had to have new keys issued because the ones from the kiosk didn't work. However, the live human people there on staff were FANTASTIC!
