Traveling for business, I rely on the internet for work, Kanab has optical fiber and very fast internet. However, I had issues with the internet on the fourth floor in the room 422 across from the elevator. It was impossible for me to work from the comfort of my room. When able to connect I had close to “dialup” performances. Needless to say that I tried multiple devices. Internet was fine everywhere else but my room! When asked about it, the manager replied that he never had issues before… and that anyway the hotel was “full” so he couldn’t move me to a different room. As he seemed skeptical, I offered to show him the internet speed and latency experienced in that room, but he refused. I was offered the conference room but It wasn’t comfortable nor was it appealing. After wasting a day, that evening I had enough and asked to be moved to a different room. Magically a room was available on the 3rd floor. And guess what, the internet was fine there. I would advise the owner to believe its customers and fix his Access Points. And yes, of all the beautiful places on earth people still travel for work to Kanab.
