Confortevole albergo nel cuore di Kathmandu.
Albergo pulito e silenzioso pur essendo nel centro movimentato della città. Appare imbiancato di recente con gusto. Il personale è disponibile e cortese. È in posizione comoda per raggiungere a piedi Durbar Square .

This is my go-to hotel every time I bring a group to Nepal. These family feeling and persistent quality service makes it irreplaceable in a busy city. They are like family now!

I always stay at Hotel Ganesh Himal. Their helpful staff, kind spirit, safe & clean rooms, and prime location is why I keep coming back.

Property was good but the booking process was poor. The hotel hadn't heard of wotif and despite me giving my name three times they couldn't find my booking and then suddenly found it. I booked a double room but only received a single. The hotel itself was clean and quiet with excellent service, the best mattress I've had in Nepal and welcome drink. I'd stay again but not with wotif.

Excellent location in the city with only a few minutes walk to Thamel or Durbar Square, yet away from the main traffic. The garden and balcony were nice to relax in. Staff was really friendly and helpful with organizing.

Very friendly staff! I love the yard! It feels Iike an oasis! The beds are not the most comfy but they are clean! The included breakfast is ok! Nothing special! I think the attention and the place itself is the reason why I like to return here! It is also close to the restaurants and cafes in Thamel!

Great staff + courtyard + location
I stayed at Hotel Ganesh Himal for a total of 2 weeks. The hotel really shines with it's friendly and welcoming staff as well as with it's comfy courtyard. Special thanks to Siri and the other waiters for the great service. The same goes for Kancha, who I believe is the janitor. I found the food offered great and reasonably priced. I also liked the location which is not in the midst of the annoying chaos of Thamel, but still not more than a few minutes away. The rooms are somewhat dated but that didn't bother me. I stayed in different rooms of the same category and found they were quite different. In some the bathroom fixtures are not ok, some missing a shower screen, kettle filters are dirty and other small things that do however make a difference. In my view it wouldn't take much effort to improve these things. Cleanliness could also be improved.

Hotel tranquilo y bien comunicado
Hotel recomendable con buena relación calidad-precio. El hotel estaba muy limpio y el personal del hotel era muy amable. Aunque la calle está mal iluminada, está muy bien ubicada y más tranquila que en Thamel. Está cerca de Thamel, a 15 min de Durar Sqr. e incluso se puede ir andando al templo de Swayambhunath.

This is an oasis in Kathmandu and I always enjoyed coming back after being out in Thamel for a quiet tea in the garden. I recommend this hotel!

The Hotel Ganesh is wonderful place to stay in Kathmandu. The staff of both the reception and the restaurant were so very gracious and friendly. Clean & quiet rooms, with reliable hot water at any time of day or evening. The beautiful restaurant courtyard was a great place to start and end the day! I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat - an incredible value. About a 10 minute walk from all the restaurants and shops in the Thamel District.

Luxury on the 6th Floor at $45Cdn
We loved this centrally located hotel - friendly staff, superb rooms, great view from our 6th Floor balcony, good value, and we enjoyed the elevator-free, pre-trekking 74 preparatory steps up to our room. For this kind of money you want to move in for a month. The serving staff at the desk, security, courtyard restaurant staff and cleaning personal were all about friendly, helpful customer service.

車とバイクと通行人の喧騒が渦巻く大通りから、すこし入った静かなロケーションでした。 門番の長身のお兄さんが、笑顔で私の重くて大きなキャリーバックを軽々と運んでくれました。 フロントのお兄さんもきれいなキングスイングリッシュで、にこやかに対応してくださいました。 レストランのウエイターのおじ様から「マダム」とか言われて嬉しくなり、旅の話をたくさんしてしまいました。

I was disappointed perhaps because I had stayed there ten years before. The hotel has lost its cachet although less so than Kathmandu which is a nearly unbearable crowded polluted city (of course, partly due to last year's quake).

Room was ok. Most staff were friendly. No heating in winter was harsh. It was freezing. Room was so dusty we had to take antihistamines. Not worth the money.

Nice hotel, standard rooms need improvent
Comfortable and cosy hotel because of the nice decoration and pleasant garden, also has terraces in each floor. Good breakfast but always the same. Great service except for the guy in the restaurant that always was asking the room number and even asking the key to prove it... Standard rooms need improvement at least in bathroom, since it is old and not operating as they should. I would be again there. It is in a central area of Khatmandu.

Nous avions une chambre super deluxe ( prix élevé mais la qualité de la prestation et l'ambiance sont à la hauteur). Il y a deux autres categories de chambre. La chambre etait tres confortable et le petit déjeuner super ( en supplément). Un oasis de paix au cœur de Katmandou! Personnel très gentil et tres bon service.

Friendly & helpful place in a chaotic city
This hotel is a little gem. We stayed in a standard rate room which was basic but clean with comfortable beds. The towels were changed daily & there is drinking water in reception where you can refill your bottle & take out with you. The hotel garden is a little sanctuary in an incredibly chaotic, noisy city & a lovely place to sit in the sunshine (if the smog allows the sun through!) All the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you. They organised sight-seeing trips for us around the Kathmandu valley & onward visits to Chitwan & Pokhara. I will return to Nepal to see more of the country & wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Hotel Ganesh Himal again.

clean, quiet, comfortable, relaxing hotel
Hotel was a great find peace and relaxation a few minutes stroll from the hustle and bustle of Thamel and 10 mins from Durbar Square. Good size rooms with bathroom with instant hot water and a lovely quiet garden to relax in. For cat lovers there were six kittens with two mums who loved any attention.

2nd time staying there.
I first used the hotel in 2009 and was very happy with it, so it was easy to go back this second time. Ganesh Himal's staff is very helpful and always smiling. The room was cleaned daily and I like the fact that it is not in central Thamel with all the hawkers. So I would recommend using the hotel.

Good value for clean rooms
Friendly staff. Relatively quiet for Katmandu. Did not pick us up at airport as advertised but were happy to refund our taxi. Pretty good restaurant downstairs.
