“It’s an older property but well maintained. More of an inn or motel. Quaint. Small. Check in and check out are very easy and quick. Only ceiling fans but it was all right. “We loved our 7-night stay at Hilltop vacation rental! We had the economy room with a view of the ocean and it was very cool to wake up to the sun rising. The room was clean, there was a shower and bathroom and all of the necessary essentials for our stay—coffee maker, small fridge, etc…The parking was a bit tight, but our rental Jeep fit into the parking spots! It was a quiet and peaceful stay. Would definitely recommend! ”

“My husband and I stayed there for four nights and we had the most wonderful time there. Every morning was a different type of fresh cut fruit, mostly grown in the property and home bake goods. It was delicious! The room was small but comfortable and was exactly what we were looking for. The property and location was great too. It was a 10 minutes walk to rainbow falls and 5 minutes drive to downtown Hilo. ”

“If you are a backcountry camper, this is for you! The hut is situated in primitive setting of rain forest. You can imagine a big tent but in wood sitting in the woods. I like the nature surrounding and the art deco. However, lack of electricity and a modern bathroom is a big downside. The host is friendly, responsive, and helpful. However, descriptions of the property and instructions to the property aren't sufficiently clear.”

"L'esperienza è stata nel complesso positiva. I punti a favore sono: il posto è meraviglioso, circondati da plumeria, vegetazione rigogliosa e un viale spettacolare. I letti sono comodi, il bagno è ben fornito di tutto e a disposizione molti asciugamani. Il lanai è carino e caratteristico, anche se curerei un pochino di più la pulizia (capisco che si tratta praticamente di un esterno). Meraviglioso il canto degli uccellini che sembrano essere all'interno dell'abitazione. Se si vuole un'esperienza in full immersion con la natura delle Hawaii, questo è il posto giusto. Lati negativi: la cucinetta è priva del necessario per cuocere qualche cosa di sostanzioso, c'è soltanto un microonde, ma per il resto poco altro. La proprietaria è gentilissima, la comunicazione costante e veloce."
