Perfect Place to stay at the beach!
Derrick is a perfect owner and he has always something to tell. We loved this place close to Knysna and only a five minute walk to the lovely beach! The house is very nice and the breakfast delicious!

Our host, Joan, was very helpful and accommodating. Rooms are large, bright, and very comfortable. Located in a hilltop community 15 to 20 minutes from Knysna. Some rooms have partial ocean views. Property needs a handyman. Shower door not functioning properly, doors and windows sticking, But overall we would stay again. Be sure to have a fancy dinner one night down the road at Pembry’s

Supermysigt ställe strax utanför knysna. Stort och rent rum. Bra frukost! Nära havet och bra service från ägaren med tips om vad man kan göra i området. Vi kommer garanterat bo på samma ställe igen om vi är i närheten!

Derrick the owner was very friendly and he made some good local suggestions but the place was in need of some repairs . The breakfast was disappointing as they ran out of meat and bread 2 days plus the omelet had no ingredients . Charges for coffee pods etc were unnecessary. The property is a long walk to the beach .

Pity you did not give me live feedback. I bake bread for the guests every 2nd day plus there is normal bread both in white and brown. Perhaps you are referring to my own bread. Its so good that some guests don't think of the others still to come. I cannot stop them. Anyway I'm sorry that our guesthouse made you lower your standards. We will keep trying to do better. Simply the Best
Simply one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. Great location close to the beach. Peaceful, quiet, a good pool, nice veranda. Super breakfast, with Derrick making wonderful omelettes! Great host with excellent local knowledge.

Wonderful guest house close to a stunning beach.
The guest house was a wonderful surprise. Room spacious, beautifully decorated and great views and sounds of the sea. The owner was friendly, knowledgeable and gave great advise about thinks to do, see and where to eat. Wish we had stayed longer, and will hopefully return in the future.

Lovely hotel in beautiful Brenton
We really enjoyed our short stay at Brenton Beach House. The owner Derrick was really friendly and helpful and gave us an excellent dinner recommendation! We were given a choice of rooms on different floors and we were also able to see the honeymoon suite, which looked amazing! Our room was huge and we'll equipped and was clean and comfortable. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk and is stunning!

Great stay!
We had a great stay and the owner recommended a wonderful restaurant BLU very close to the unit which serves some great fish and offers the most magnificent sunset in town. The breakfast was out of this world and the owner bakes and makes most of the breakfast items he serves! The bottom bedroom is a bit humid (especially the room which has the bunk beds which has a carpet) Overall a great stay and a wonderful ambiance created by the artwork from the owners!

Sehr schön gelegenes Haus mit familiärer Note
Das Guesthouse liegt sehr schön oberhalb des Strandes. Der Besitzer ist überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er gibt viele Tipps,(besonders für Golfer- da er auch selbst spielt). Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lecker. Brenton on Sea ist ein sehr gepflegter und sicherer Ort. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen, da top Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

Hotel muito agradável
Fomos muito bem recebidas pelo proprietário do hotel, que nos mostrou as dependência e nosso quarto, também nos deu várias dicas de restaurantes e eventos nas redondezas. Todo o hotel e o quarto são muito bem cuidados e decorados, com pequenos mimos e detalhes fofos que nos encantaram!

Tres bon sejour tres agreable. Je recommande chaleureusement cet endroot. Seul point : sur le site on a l impression que les chambres donnent sur la mer. En fait elles donnent sur le jardin et la piscine.

Hübsches Haus, große Zimmer, netter Besitzer
Wir haben nur eine Nacht in Brenton-on-Sea verbracht. Der Ort hat einen wunderschönen Strand. Leider sind wir etwas auf den Namen des Hotels "hereingefallen" und dachten, das Hotel sei direkt am Strand. Das ist leider nicht so, es sind 5 Minuten mit dem Auto bergab, zu Fuß haben wir es nicht versucht, weil wir den sehr steilen Rückweg scheuten, ich schätze aber 30 Minuten Fußweg. Das Haus ist schön, im Innenhof ist ein Pool und es tummeln sich die Vögel. Das Zimmer war gepflegt, wenn auch an der einen oder anderen Ecke etwas "abgelebt". Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und betreut die Gäste persönlich.

We booked a bedroom for 3 adults with a specific request for a seperation between the main bedroom and the 3rd bed as we (as a married couple)were accompanied by an adult friend. We were however given 2 single beds pushed next to each other and another single bed merely a meter away, which compromised our privacy for the entire weekend. The guest house and especially Derricks's hositality was great, however the weekend was rather miserable due to the fact that we had no privacy. The consultant at Hotels.com assured us that the 3rd bed was seperate to the main bedroom...

Fantastic stay
Fantastic stay in spacious rooms which are renovated. Derrick is verry kind and nothing is to much asked. He has a warm personality. In the nabourhood is an good fishrestaurant.

Quiet and friendly guest house
The host and the house keeper are super friendly and helpful. They were accommodating of our hyper active 2 year old son to a point of playing with him. Derrick is an encyclopedia of things to do in the Garden Route, he helped us with our itinerary every morning.

Sehr warmherziger Empfang. Derrick ist ein Unikat! Sein Frühstück war immer einwandfrei und sehr familiär. Die Zimmer waren sehr liebevoll und stilvoll eingerichtet. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Allerdings: Man merkt, dass die Unterkunft direkt am Meer liegt und die Natur an der Substanz des Hauses nagt. Insgesamt könnte die Anlage (vor allem Garten und Pool) gepflegter sein. Außerdem empfanden wir es nicht so schön, direkt neben der Rumpelkammer zu wohnen. (Besser man schaut nicht dort hin...). Wir waren zwei Nächte dort und empfanden dies als ausreichend.

Das Guesthouse wird vom Besitzer sehr freundlich und mit gutem Stil geführt. Frühstück ist hervorragend. Der Ort liegt in schöner Strandnähe, nach Knysna sind es je nach Verkehr 15-30min.

Hoch über der wunderschönen Brenton Bay, liegt dieses freundliche, im Stile eines englischen, viktorianischen Holzhauses errichtete B&B. Derrick, der hilfsbereite, freundliche, fröhliche und unkomplizierte Gastgeber zaubert mit seinen Angestellten ein unglaublich gutes Frühstück mit selbstgebackenem französischem Brot. Sehr hilfreich waren für uns auch seine vielen guten Tipps. Danke sagen Anna, Steffi & Peter

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber guter Service
Wir waren für 2 Nächte im Brenton Beach House und waren insgesamt zufrieden. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber der Service war soweit sehr gut. Die Strandnähe und die Möglichkeit auf dem Balkon zu grillen ( Weber-Grill stand zur Verfügung) waren super.
