servizio pessimo
Viaggio in India da più di 20 anni. Non mi è mai capitato di prenotare, ci sono sempre soluzioni. La prima volta che prenoto.. rimango molto deluso. L'albergo di per se è carino ma il rapporto qualità del servizio/camere/prezzo è assolutamente sbilanciato. Prenotare un albergo secondo me non significa avere del denaro sicuro e piazzare i clienti nella peggior stanza, senza finestre e con umidità altissima. i muri erano scrostati. servizio pessimo.

Posizione ideale
A pochi passi dal porto e da St Francis Church posizione ideale per la visita dela città. Camere piccole ma pulite e con aria condizionata, giardino gradevole, servizio essenziale.

Camera enorme e pulita. Colazione non inclusa ma a sorpresa quando eravamo l'ha ci hanno comunicato che era compresa (bella sorpesa) Buona e Abbondante.Posizione molto comoda ,vicino all'imbarco del traghetto per tasferimento sull'isoletta difronte, Vicino alla Cattedrale alle reti di pesca cinesi e altre attrattive del posto.Negozietti e Ristorantini per poter mangiare pesce fresco.

Charmant hotel très bien situé, au centre de Fort Kochi ! chambre très grandes, lit confortable, le personnel est au petit soin ! Il est possible de manger /dîner dans la cour intérieur. Foncez y !

Rooms are around inside court . Restaurant there too, loud music till quite late. Also at breakfast music too loud. Staff most helpful.

Good value and location
No hot water but warm enough not to need it. Rooms are a little dark as no external windows but this makes it nice to sleep in. The internal courtyard is pleasant and the staff very accommodating.

Habitué de séjourner à Cochin , en fin de voyage, c'est agréable de se retrouver dans cet endroit calme, en retrait de la rue. Dommage il n'y a pas que des grandes chambres, le service est impec et le personnel aux petits soins.

Hotel with great character
I arrived very late at night, but staff were quickly available for check-in. Initially placed in a family room, next morning I was transferred to the room I had booked, which was very roomy, and comfortable. There is considerable history attached to the building's origins, and it's age is evident from the timber work .. eg floorboards a bit creaky in places. But that's part of Rossitta's attraction . . . .

Bodde på hotellet en vecka och det enda som jag tyckte var dåligt var hastigheten på wifi. Väldigt trevlig personal och en mycket bra och billig restaurang.

Super Lage, nette Atmosphäre
Internet auf der Veranda, nicht im Zimmer. Von anderen Hotels habe ich aber gehört, dass die Internetverbindungen überhaupt nicht funktionierten. Günstigere Zimmer auf Innenhof mit Restaurantbetrieb ausgerichtet. Nette Atmosphäre, super Lage.

Yleinen Intian ongelma, täälläkin
Hotellin sijainti ja ulkopuoli/fasadi hyvät, mutta kun mennään syvemmälle alkavat ongelmat tulla silmille. Ei ainoastaan tämä hotelli, vaan koko Intiaa vaivaa huollon ja korjausten puute. Kaiken annetaan rapistua, ei välitetä omaisuudesta, olipa kyseessä yksityinen tai yleinen omaisuus. Täälläkin ulkopuoli oli pidetty kunnosssa, mutta huoneet todella "kuluneita", maalit hilseilivat seinistä, kylppärit no joo kunnossa jne. jne. Paikassa näytti olevan tapana jättää tyhjän huoneen ovi auki, no ensimmäisen huoneen tyynyliinat haisi kissan ku...... Kissat osasivat myös avata keittiön salpaamattoman, mutta suljetun oven, ja kävivät siellä omia aikojaan. Henkilökunta avulias ja kohtelias, mutta se ei riitä paikkaamaan puutteita huoneissa ja yleisissä tiloissa, julkisivua lukuun ottamatta. Sijainniltaan suhteellisen hyvä, läheltä löytyvät mm. Dutch Palace, Kiinalaiset kalaverkot, maustemarkkinat, hiekkaranta, yhteydet yleisiin kulkuvälineisiin.

Friendly staff, good location
An old colonial style building close to sites of interest in Fort Cochi. Staff were great. Wood Mansion rooms a bit disappointing. Over all though a nice glace to stay.

Stay here.
We were looking for a place to stay after we landed and this was just fine for the price. The wifi signal was strong, our room was as expected for the price and breakfast was very good. It is a cheery spot to wake up in the morning and walkable to everything. Quod room didn't have ac.

Charming hotel close to Chinese Fishingnets
Nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel has a lovely courtyard with overshadowing trees. The restaurant is absolutely worth a try. The A/C did not work but I was given another room at once. The hotel seems to be very popular and I can recommend it without reservations.

Rummet vi bokat var inget vidare så vi fick gradera upp till dubbelt pris. Bra restaurang. Vänlig betjäning, Gammal kulturell byggnad med mycket charm men saknade det funktionella.

Pretty courtyard
The courtyard was pretty with large shady trees. Very pleasant to sit out day and night. I also like the wooden walls, which gave the hotel a tradional feel. A couple of concerns though: The staff quarters are between the reception and guest rooms, which gives them little privacy since the door in one room is left open and the other one doesn't have a door. Nor is it particularly attractive for guests passing by. On one night, an outsider (non-guest) party was held in the courtyard, which became progressively noisier towards midnight, and despite my complaints, they were unable to be quietened. The party culminated in some kind of an argument and punches were thrown outside my door, which was rather disturbing. The manager, however, was extremely apologetic the next day.

In need of a serious rework.
The restaurant/common area is very charming and a major plus about the place, as was the proximity to the sites and the waterfront. Our room, unfortunately, did not live up to expectations. The wood flooring flexed so badly that it threatened to pinch our feet. The beds were oriented in a way that made it difficult to navigate the room. Of the two a/c units, only one worked and it was barely enough to cool the room. Of the three electrical outlets, only one worked. The TV didn't work either. The room was clean, however, and that was appreciated. And the same-day laundry service was as advertised and very affordable. The staff were very helpful but at the end of the day, the place needs some work especially on the electrical side.

Has a lot of potential, but lacks maintenance
It's a beautiful looking, old property which was the charm that led us to make this booking. But the room we got had some major issues.

Shabby rooms but a fantastic exterior
The photos on the web made me think this place was worth the money Hotels.com asked. When I got there the rooms were at best good for back packers and worth a thrird what I paid. Not worth what I paid here for sure. The exterior is very rustic and well kept, the rooms and bedding, not so much. Also when I asked others what they paid, generally people had turned up there and paid about something closer to its worth so my advice is if you want a back packer hotel, its great - at back packer rates. Though note, no alcohol sold on the premises, the internet was intermittent but Ok when it worked, air con worked fine. I would use it again, but turning up with a rucksack not a suite case and paying an appropriate rate.

Zentrale Unterkunft in Fort Kochin
Die Webseite des Hotels erzählt vom Glanz vergangener Tage. Daher war die Realität für uns leider enttäuschend. Das Hotel ist durch seine zentrale Lage ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen in Fort Kochin und die guten Bewertungen waren der Grund für uns, das Hotel zu buchen. Sehr positiv zu erwähnen sind die sehr herzlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter. Ob Taxi, Tipps für Sightseeing oder Flugbuchung - bei allen Angelegenheiten wurde uns kompetent geholfen. Wir hatten zwei Doppelzimmer gebucht. Davon waren in einem die Wände mit schwarzem Schimmel überzogen und es roch feucht und moderig. Für Allergiker ist das schon grenzwertig. Das zweite Zimmer wurde vermutlich renoviert und war ok. Das Frühstück wird im Innenhof serviert oder kann auch auf der Balustrade eingenommen werden. Die Qualität war im Großen und Ganzen in Ordnung. Fazit: generell ein schönes, altes Haus, das mit hervorragendem Personal punktet. Aber bitte saniert die Zimmer! Dann würden wir auch wieder kommen.

the rooms are very small and basic. No TV atleast on the rooms we were at ground floor. we should not go if we expect things of a typical hotel, But if you want to stay in a hotel 300+ years old and see and feel the history you must visit the hotel. very nice and supportive staff. maintenance of the rooms are quite nice. location is also quite nice.

The rositta castle is a lovely old fashioned hotel. Good location near loads of restaurants and shops in Fort Kochi. The hotel is a little quirky and was nice to stay in.

Since it is somewhat of a vintage building, the property has a lot of character. The location is great - walking distance to the harbour. That said, it is very very basic and do not expect the comforts of a good stay. It is just functional. Big let down was the food. Do not bother eating at the hotel - the food is canteen food at best and the service and hygiene pathetic. The hotel "restaurant" (if you can call it that ) is apparently run by an independent contractor and is no better than street food and a bit pricey for the fare offered. It is a bit of a shame as the property has a lot of potential and could offer more for the value of the money charged. Other than the vintage character and location - every thing else was MEH!

Loved this hotel
The personnel are amazing, the rooms are really cosy and charming and the location couldn't be better. The restaurant is very nice too. The only complaints are that the AC is a bit noisy and there wasn't hot water in the shower. But that didn't matter, it was still one of the best hotel stayes we've ever had.

Very basic, but warmly welcoming!
This older style hotel is conveniently located in a [relatively] quiet street; the clientel is predominantly educated European. Unfortunately, upgrading and maintenance stops at the reception area; the somewhat scruffy courtyard / dining area is actually charming, the food is good average, but the real winner is the staffing - welcoming, friendly, and 'nothing is too much trouble'. Yes, we'd stay again [75 y.o. couple].

Great place to stay in Cochin
This is a very conveniently situated hotel close to the centre and Chinese fishing nets. The staff are friendly and welcoming and you can get a good meal here too. Pleasant shady courtyard with rooms around it. a good place to spend a few nights.
