OK, per dormire e visitare l'isola di Kuai.
La struttura, tutta in legno, è un po' datata. Le camere sono molto piccole e l'insonirizzazione lascia molto a desiderare, ma nel complesso è un buon compromesso prezzo-prestazioni per chi vuole vivere l'isola di Kuai da turista ed utilizza l'hotel solo per dormire o riposare. La mattina servono del caffè e qualche muffin, c'è la lavanderia ed Internet è gratis anche se la qualità del segnale wi-fi è un po' a "macchia di leopardo" ovvero non tutti i punti sono ben coperti. Il parcheggio (non custodito) è di fronte alla struttura, ma conta solo pochi posti. Le alternative per parcheggiare sono le strade limitrofe ed il parcheggio di una scuola praticamente adiacente all'hotel. Non ci sono "amenities" ovvero non c'è la piscina, non ci sono attrazioni, non c'è nulla a parte le camere ed una lobby molto piccola con un divano ed un banco/cucinotto dove predispongono la colazione.

Convenient to Lihue airport
5 minutes from the airport. We only needed one night. At first we were worried because it was in a rather industrial part of town and we did not have a car. But we found some good restaurants in walking distance as well as th Kaua’i Museum. Room was small but clean. Bathroom was tiny but clean. Great cross ventilation and ceiling fan made lack of air conditioning moot.

Wouldnot return
The towels and bed linen were stained. The air conditioner was rattling and screeching so had to turn it off. No dead bolt to room. A simple shoulder to the door could have opened it. Nice gardens

スタッフがの皆さんがとても優しく過ごしやすいホテルです。
ネットでは鶏がうるさいとか色々書かれていたのでどうなんだろうと心配していましたが全くその様なことは無くのんびりしてとても過ごしやすいホテルでした。スタッフさん達が皆さん感じ良く優しく接して下さいました。朝コーヒーや色々な飲み物が用意されていてとても助かりました。 モーテルというところが初めてでしたがホテルと全く同じでした。朝チップを置いて出掛けるのですが帰って来てみると取ってないんです。モーテルはいらないの？と心配になりました。次の日は直接会う機会があったので手渡ししましたがどうなんでしょうね。とても感じの良い方でしたよ。 後、公衆電話が壊れていたのを知らなくてお金を入れてもかかりませんでした。戻っても来なかったので故障ならお金入れる投入口にテープを貼るとか故障と書いて置いた方が良いと思います。 ３泊しましたがとても気持ちよく過ごさせていただきました。又Ｋａｕａｉ島に行くときは是非パームズホテルに宿泊したいと思います。ありがとうございました。

Close to Airport
A great place to stay after arriving late, so convenient, so easy after travelling all day. The Hotel is older, very clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. The lobby is cosy and it was easy to chat with other guests .

Would not stay again.
This hotel is very old. The room was very small. The bathroom was the bare minimum to qualify as a bathroom. The plumbing didn't work. There was no air conditioning so we had to have the windows open. The screaming chickens kept us awake all night.

We told the hotel we would be checking in late. The hotel gave us the room number and told us the light would be on and the key would be in the room. Although the room was small it was very comfortable and just what we needed. We had a good night’s sleep and complimentary coffee was available in the morning

Perfect deal!
great Value, friendly service. For $100/night I am very appreciative of what I got. The room was small but all needs were met. We got an early check in without any extra cost and the place is in walking distance to good food and beer. Would recommend.

Inexpensive & convenient
I arrived in Lihue near midnight after traveling all day and wanted a hotel close to the airport to stay before renting my car and heading out to my rental place at the north of the island more than an hour away. I did not want to spend a fortune nor did I care whether there were lots of amenities. I wanted some place that was close by, clean, and safe. Kauai Palms was all of these things. Also, it was close to a restaurant for breakfast. One draw back--it was not easy to get a taxi to get over to the car rental place so I advise you to take the phone number of the cab driver who drops you there the night before or better yet arrange a pick up time.

Pleasant alternative to cookie-cutter resorts
This quiet hotel is a basic but pleasant place to stay. The staff are genuinely helpful and friendly and will do everything they can to make sure you have a pleasant stay. This is a nice alternative to the cookie-cutter resorts that will nickel and dime you with extra fees at every chance they get.

Hotel is a very mom-and-pop/family run service. Building and rooms are not the newest or best condition, but are clean and well kept. Initially we had a small room. Due to a problem with the bathroom, we were upgraded to a much larger, significantly more comfortable room with many more amenities. Very nice service for reasonable prices. Would stay at again.

Comfortable budget hotel with a welcoming staff.
Perfect budget hotel if you have a car because it's not on the beach. Excellent staff. But know that it's basically Super 8 Aloha Style. Love the staff!

It was no hot water to shower, no bottled water in the room, vending machine out of service - cannot even buy anything to drink - quite inconvenient after a long flight. We have chosen it only because of being close to the airport and we had a late flight.

Stayed at Kauai Palms to save some cash for fancier parts of the trip, and it was a great value. Staff was very friendly, towels and other beach items provided freely and towels could be replaced daily. Located in a not too glamorous part of Lihue but not far from south or east shore attractions, so very well located. Stop by Kauai Beer Co. just down the street for good food and brews. Rooms are small but nice and have AC.

Very convenient close to airport
This is a place we stayed in between our rental condo and it was cheaper to fly in late night. Also for flying out on a week day. Minutes from the airport We came to the hotel past 10 PM and we were able to get into our room w/o any problems. You definitely have to let them know about late arrival. When we left our condo a week later I called and asked for an early check in and our room was ready before 11:00 am. That made it very nice so we can leave our luggage and refrigerator items and go enjoy the day.

A good place for a one night stay. Parking is slim with only a few spots. Security a question mark at best. Door had no dead bolt. Just a chain link, could easily be knocked in by anyone. Would not stay again.

Good location to discover the island
The hotel is located about 5-8 mins by car from the airport and quite central when discovering the island taking about 1.5 hours each way to reach the end of the islands roads. There is not much around the hotel when walking but supermarkets, restaurants and other amenities are just a short drive away. The hotel offers free parking and while I was there I never had any problems finding a spot for my car. My room had a good size and was clean with TV, fridge and AC plus ventilator. The bathroom offered some toiletries (lotion, shampoo, soap) and there were enough towels. Even though the area is not that great I liked the look of the hotel. Only annoying thing was the thin walls, I had some very loud neighbours the first night making it difficult to sleep. Staff is generally ok but there is room for improvement. The hotel offers beach towels on request which is great. Would definitely book again due to the central location, the nice room, and the price.

The location was fine, on the outskirts of a small town. The interior was pretty dingy but neat. The part that really skeeved us out was that the AC was full of black mold so we couldn't turn it on and were breathing it in within the room as well.

A rockroach zoo -- Do not stay here
I gave the lowest ratings possible because my stay was ruined by the huge number of cockroaches. This hotel should be ashamed for offering any rooms due to the massive infestation. The cockroaches (from tiny babies to medium-large size) come out everywhere, but particularly at night. Turn on the lights and they are all over the walls and floor and furnishings, including the nightstand and shelves. I had to keep all my personal items in the rental car and I could barely sleep. I am sorry I prepaid for five nights. In addition, the bed was extremely old and extremely worn out, and it was not comfortable, as it was like trying to sleep on a sack. The Internet access (which I wanted and which was listed as an amenity) did not work from my room, but I should have asked how to make it work. I hated this place, and it was ruining my vacation. If you give me hundreds of cockroaches for five days, you don't deserve a rating higher than zero. As I write this review I now see that reviewers can upload photos. If I had known that, you would be seeing horrible cockroach photos.

I took a bad fall after hours. Maria came into the office to open up access to the ice machine. I very much appreciated her extra effort. It made all the differences in getting the swelling down!

I only spent the night and it was basic and fine.
The hotel was basic; had little interaction with staff. Since my room was right off the stairwell, there was conversation and talking but no big deal. It was quiet overnight and had a room fan to help circulation and cool things off. Because of my schedule, I did not spend much time there...very close to the airport and that seems to be the primary reason folks stay here.

We only stayed 1 night. Checked in late and left really early. The room was cozy and decent. We were kept up all night as we could hear people talking literally all night long. Not sure if it was right outside or if it was from other rooms.. and the vending machine was broken. And I was a little afraid to walk to the car by myself but all in all it was pretty good!

Wonderful place in amazing island
If you dream about feel how real Hawai and Aloha looks like, that place is ideal for you. You could wake up, come to terrace and see ‘cloudly’ mountains and palms, which are close to you. You feel that you are close to nature, even the airport is so close. That place has great atmosphere, everyone are nice and helpful. Car park and locker are free of charge. I could not find any disadvantages even I try. Wonderful place in totally amazing island without commercialism.

Excellent staff but old, tired motel
While the exterior was very charming, the room was old, out of date, and barely above adequate. The floors were old linoleum, the beds had old, lumpy mattresses, the shower looked so uniinviting that we chose to skip it . The window air conditioner went on and off all night leaving the room hott and musty. The bathroom door didn't close completely. To sum it up, the curtains were hemmed with safety pins. This was a base line hotel near the airport. If this is what you can afford, it was safe, the staff was very pleasant, and the location was convenient,

Perfect for me
I was in Kauai to run a half marathon--needed a quiet place to rest before and after event. Kauai Palms was a wonderful surprise--I had a kitchen, comfortable bed, large bedroom and even larger bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even though I was close to airport--didn't hear any planes.

Don't choose a non-AC room if you want to sleep beyond 4:30AM because you need to leave all the windows open for cross ventilation and the local ROOSTERS start crowing early. You have to replenish linens, glasses, and ice buckets yourself if you stay more than one night. Otherwise, management is friendly and helpful.
