Expedia should have entering requirements.
I could not sleep. Because, the house is located over the tube route. There was smell and all the beds were broken. Utterly terrible experience. I wouldn`t pay such amount of money for budget guest house. Expedia should have some entering requirements. You failed it. I`ll never use Expedia again

Very rude staff. Abrubt & impatient woman dealt with our booking on arrival. Then 30 minutes before we were due to check out, 2 different people knocked the door telling us to check out!!

Mal insonorisé mais proche de la gare. La chambre était sale et les sanitaires mais entretenus étaient les mêmes pour tous. Un minimum de confort aurait été apprécié.

Hostel near Kings Cross.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Tea and coffee in room, great! Very convenient for Kings Cross and many restaurants near by. Clean and comfortable beds and good value.

シングルベッド３台で予約していたはずが、ダブルベッドと二段ベッドのシングル。確認するとこのホテルにはシングル３台の部屋はないとのこと。場所が良いだけで、他は価値がないホテル。トイレとバスが同じで特にバスは不潔でシャワーしかできない。

Yuck...
The rooms and halls were decrepit, in disrepair, and dirty. The bathroom was worse. The staff were unhelpful and no one seemed to know where the manager was or how to get ahold of him. Travellers beware: there will be no refund.

budget hotel - fine for a night or two
It's ok for a night or two but you get what you pay for. The trains go past right outside the hotel and everything's very old but it's fine as just a place to stay

Even for the money this is pretty grotty!
Other reviews have noted the train noise; I didn't find it intrusive even though the whole hotel rattled slightly. Traffic noise was worse, as was the noise from other rooms in the hotel. The room was OK although the bed was very lumpy and the pillows negligible. However even with the radiator turned off the heat was unbearable and the window wouldn't open. The bathroom, however, was icy cold. Shared facilities is fair enough but there need to be enough to go around. There only seemed to be one toilet, in the same room as the bath. The floor was extremely slippery and all the facilities were in poor condition.

Don't go there
Apart from there being a working tv and kettle and lots of tea/coffee and milk, (and a friendly hotelier), the experience was one of the worst in my life. We were in the basement, with a cupboard full of junk and rat poison on the floor, the corridors were ridiculously narrow and probably wouldn't pass fire regulations, the mattress was horrendously uncomfortable and the bedding was sparse. We felt unsafe all night, slept with the light on, and left as soon as we could. We would never go back there.

Sleepless night as my room was road facing and very loud traffic noises all night. Also noises from next room disturbing whole night.

It doesn't get much worse than this
Convenient for Kings Cross and St Pancreas International stations. Hotel looked after our luggage. But pretty dreadful. Squeaking bed, high pitched whine from the TV, no chair, dodgy toilets, intermittent Wifi.

down the stained carpeted staircase into the basement, with an open janitors room next door, undecorated, and a collective shower upstairs (for everybody) with cold air coming in through a hole in the shower wall.

Very friendly staff, awful place
Very friendly old indian in the reception, and they seemed to do their best to keep it clean, but the state of repair of the building was extremely bad, even for London.

Alleen de ligging is gunstig.Het betreft een oud en vervallen pand.De televisie was kapot, vloerbedekking was kapot, de wastafel was wankel, viel bijna van de muur, erg gehorig, geen stoelen.Het bed was krakkemikkig.Badkamer was matig. Het is geen aanrader.

Une chambre a la cave
On avait l'impression de dormir à la cave. Une chambre en bas des escaliers, 2 lits simples, lits à ressort, un évier salle, pas de salle de bain, douche et toilette sont communs et d'une saleté inédite. On évitait au maximum de toucher quoi que ce soit à main nue. Et toutes les 20-30mins des bruits et vibrations de train assez proche. On a choisi cette chambre pour le prix d'une chambre à Londres mais il était encore beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c'était. J'aurais du lire les avis avant de réserver.

Dåligt
Gillade inte detta hotellet för fem öre det var verkligen inte värt pengarna. Rummet var inte alls fräscht, det var hur litet som helst och för mycket saker i det vi kom knappt in i rummet för att det stod en garderob innanför dörren. I receptionen står en våningssäng med ett skynke över och även en spis mm så det känns som att någon bor där inne. När jag va där så luktade hela huset som avlopp och det satte sig i kläderna vilket inte var så trevligt heller. Läget är väldigt bra med gång avstånd till Kings Cross Station men det var väl också det ända som var bra med detta ställe.

Convenient located near to Kings Cross.
We booked this hotel based purely on the proximity to Kings Cross - it was okay for an overnight stay, but I would not recommend it for longer stays due to the constant noise from passing trains very close to our room.

I am not happy about the Room it wasn't nice at all my own room is way batter den the hotel room. The room was very poorly designed and the hotel smelled of curry. I did not like it at all. I will never go there again.

Upon arrival we were sent to our room which we found to have been recently painted and still wet. Certain items o clothing and a holdall are now ruined. No apology or offer of compensation from staff. There were live earth wires and the place was dirty

Die schlimmste von allen schlechten Unterkünften, die wir in England gebucht haben. Winziges,schmutziges Zimmer mit Blick in vermüllten Hinterhof, Gemeinschaftsbäder in einem Zustand, daß an Benutzung kein Gedanke sein kann, Zug- und U- Bahnlinie verkehren direkt neben dem Haus, nicht gut ,wenn man da schlafen will. Auf jeden Fall vermeiden!!!

It's terrible
It was dirty. Showers did not work. The floors were moving when we steps on them. The ceiling had cracks. It smelled bad. Our room reservation was mixed up.

It was terrible
Our reservation was screwed up and we had to switch rooms after the first night (we stayed there two nights altogether). The showers did not work. The place was under cosmetic construction. But it did not help, as the walls and ceiling had cracks, the washroom doors did not close, and the floor was moving when we walked on it. I was scared there. I will not stay there again even if they pay me.

Great location
Blankets on beds were filthy but the staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend taking sleeping bag and own pillow for bed.

Vi skulle 'bare' have et sted at sove, dertil var Budget Guest House udemærket. Fantastisk at man kan bo så billigt og så centralt i London. Rigtig god beliggenhed i forhold til at komme rundt og OK gå-afstand fra Kings Cross Stationen.Det er en god idé at tage ørepropper med, da der er meget trafikstøj fra gaden plus at man også kan høre undergrundsbanen - og vi boede på 2. sal. De ansatte var meget imødekommende og flinke. I forhold til prisen har vi fået fuld valuta for pengene. Så hvis man ikke er så kritisk og gerne vil bo billigt, er det et fint sted.

Does What It Says On The Tin
Budget Hotel. Good Location, you get a key for your room and the front door, that means if your out late no worries. Enjoyed my stay, accommodation was fairly basic but the surrounding area offered a variety of resturants, there was an off licence just down the road for those forgotten toiletries etc. Enjoyed my stay.

Hôtel très cher par rapport à la qualité de sevice. un accueil courtois mais qui laisse à désirer, personnel absent la plupart du temps, il faut appeler un numéro pour que quelqu'un vienne vous recevoir. Lits de mauvaise qualité, qui grincent. lits fait une fois sur deux pour payer la dernière nuit, personne le matin comme nous avions une visite avec un rdv precis nous ne pouvions attendre, le soir nous sommes rentrés sans savoir si nous retrouverions nos affaires. la chambre était ouverte, n'importe qui pouvait y rentrer et se servir dans nos valises. une seule serviette de toilette pour deux personnes juste à côté de la voie ferrée du metro donc des trains toutes les 10 minutes environ très mauvaise isolation phonique douche sale, fuite de la chasse d'eau donc inondation de la salle de bain ( environ 5 cm d'eau ) qui coulaient à travers les différents etages... télévision en très mauvais état Les points positifs ( si si il y en a ) Ils gardent vos valises le jour de votre départ, mais attention ils peuvent ne pas etre là quand vous les récupérer, voyez donc large le temps de les appeler. c'est ce qui nous est arrivé !!!!! Plateau de courtoisie avec thé, café et bouilloire electrique wifi gratuit à 10 min à pied de la gare saint pancras et du metro Si vous n'êtes pas regardant, ça peu valoir le coup, ça fait un pied à terre à londres pour se reposer mais ce n'est pas très engageant nous ne renouvellerons pas l'experience avec cet hôtel

Quelle horreur , etat de l hotel délabré toilettes et salle de bain dans la meme piece, aucune hygiene éléméntaire ni dans la chambre(moquette moisie) ni dans la salle d eau.on a attendu longtemps apres le receptionniste qu ils a fallut appeler par telephone celui ci nous a acceuillis avec des vetements plein de peinture.fuyez surtout qu il y a d autre hotel plus propre a proximité.

Gut und Schlecht.
Die Zimmer im Budget Guest House sind nicht schlecht, mit dem Waschbecken im Zimmer ist man gut ausgelastet. Die Badezimmer sind haarsträubend, ohne Desinfiktionsspray würde ich nicht hinein gehen. Aber im Großen und Ganzen ist es nicht schlecht, da die Lage sehr nahe zur U-Bahn ist. Allerdings ist es nur was für jüngere bzw. Studenten und Kurzreisende.
