Clean and tidy but shabby shared house
For the price, it was just what we needed. A clean place to rest our heads for one night! It was a bit shabby however with light fittings falling off and stains on walls. Plug access was an issue as they all seemed to be behind desks or tje bed headboard. Internet was also very weak and often not accessible...however we have unlimited data so wasn't an issur for us.

Das Zimmer war eher von der kleinen Sorte, und obwohl ständig zwei Heizungen im Einsatz waren, wurde es nachts sehr Kühl im Zimmer. Die Dusche wurde gar nicht geheizt und war dementsprechend nicht nur kühl sondern regelrecht kalt. (Herbstzeit bei ca. 3° Aussen Nachttemperaturen) Als kurzfristige Unterkunft stimmt das Preis/Leistungsverhältniss.

Todo sucio, en las fotos parece que está en mejor estado. Las sábanas de la cama estaban manchadas y tuvimos problemas con insectos, en concreto con arañas. El baño muy pequeño y con accesorios rotos y oxidados.

Clean but noisy
The room was fine, clean and comfortable. The shower head attachment was broken making it hard to shower. The problem was that someone was coming in and out between 10pm and past midnight, talking really loudly. That was not ok. Hope the manger doesn’t do this on a daily basis, making it hard for guests to sleep.

Deluxe room review
As soon as we entered the room, the room smelled of something bad. The toilet doors were also broken so could not lock the door. Bed sheet had someones blood on it. Would not stay there again.

NOT RECOMMENDED
The accommodation is poorly kept. I booked many days in advance to attend a conference in ExCeL. On arrival I was given Room 11 which is a loft-conversion and had to protest to be given a better room for the night. When I left for the conference following morning and came back to be re-accommodated it was to the same room to which even a 5-footer (5ft tall) will struggle to stay without repeatedly hitting his/her head on the roof. I had to call Hotels.com that night for a refund. Certainly not recommended.

This is the human nature ! When we gave you free upgrade (private bathroom) you were vary much happy and next day as you promised will back to your room which is you booked( double room with shared bathroom) We run long times never had problem but thought if you get free upgrade then would get great feedback !

the price was jacked up because of the concert we went to. So not great value for money. If it was the normal £42 then it would have been fine .

This was a fantastic stay. The room was excellent value for money. I don't think I could have found anywhere else in this location in London for the price I paid. The gentlemen on the reception was really geat too. I would definitely recommend this hotel/B&B. Its also a great location to the Excel building with just a short bus journey away.

Hôtel d'une dizaine de chambre. Attention pas toujours de salle de bain dans la chambre ! Et pas de petit déjeuner non plus. Nous avions la chambre 8, et pas mal de choses déglinguées : poignée de porte, fenêtre, tuyau de douche, plafonnier mais c'est propre... Par contre notre chambre était située côté rue et il y a du trafic même la nuit donc attention à ceux qui ont le sommeil fragile !!

Spider web hotel
I didn’t expect a hotel room with spider web all around the room and the chadanlier in the room. They don’t even have a customer service at the front door. I have to call for them three time at the front desk.

Telefonnummer bei Expedia, um das Hotel zu erreichen, stimmte nicht. Erst nach Nachforschungen im Internet war der "Rezeptionist" erreichbar. Umfunktioniertes Einfamilienhaus- grobe Mängel! Leuchte im Schlafzimmer absolut schief und absturzgefähret, Teppichboden erzählt seine eigene Geschichte (barfuß darauf zu gehen ist NICHT emfehlenswert), Dusche kochend heiß, beim Schließen der Badezimmertür hatte man den ganzen Türgriff in der Hand, die Türe blieb also offen und die Funktion des Zimmerschlosses an sich war zweifelhaft. Riss durch das ganze Mauerwerk.

Kind hotel owner and clean room with modern design
The owner is really friendly and kind. Although I booked a room without private bathroom, he upgraded the room to the one with private bathroom for free! Furthermore, the room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable. The shower room is large enough and with modern design, and the shower has enough pressure. The toilet is also clean enough. In addition, the room has enough stuff such as glasses, kettle, TV, dryer, etc... There are a few fast food restaurants such as chicken and chips restaurant near the apartment, so you can buy something there and eat it in the hotel. I really recommend this hotel especially for people with short trip. It is worth paying the money, considering the hotel service and location!

Slight hiccup picking the room key up ... owner was very apologetic... not a lot to do in the area 30 minute walk to Stratford ... 5 mins from Plaistow tube station ... bedding nice and clean but shower needs fixing ( shower head kept falling down ) ok for 1 night for the price but I would not stay again

Very pleasant
hotel cleanliness good. very helpful staff and room very pleasant. Have paid alot more and not really got a lot better. A five minute walk from plaistow station just get to Clegg street and keep going (turns into stopford road). a budget stay that is not a major headache. Just the other side of Plaistow station are two cafes for either a greasy spoon, or a more upmarket panini and latte.

Don't bother
This was a guest house and the owner and his family lived upstairs it wasn't what I expected. I didn't feel secure in the area which ironically was a short metro ride from Canary wharf . The owner was polite and courteous. The facility was as basic as possible the bed was ok and clean , but not a single coat hanger in the wardrobe, iron was not clean and the ironing board was broken, no secure lock on the door dangerous wiring in the bathroom

Extremely cheap and it shows, you get what you pay for. However it is clean and *reasonably* close to London, so it is worth it if you're on a budget.

House as a hotel, bur quit good.
If you're located in the room near the street, you'll hear enough cars coming by. Further it's a good hotel to stay at. Clean and well priced. The shared bathroom is clean, but the ceiling is a bit low. There is a costcutter around the corner (5 min walk) or a tesco (11 min walk), which is good. Parking is a problem due to permit holder times. There is a parking lot around 10 minutes walk for 1 pound an hour.

Small room, friendly welcome and good stay.
I was attending an event at the Excel Arena, so the Metro Star was a good location. Nearby shops are convenient. It was walkable, although I used Uber as well. Clean room, internet, TV and shower, so everything you need.

Keine Leute vor Ort. Die Bettbezüge haben nach alten Urin gerochen und niemanden war da, das auszutauschen. Extrem laute Strasse und die Zimmerwänder waren ganz normale Zimmerwände wie in einem alten Haus. Sehr Hellhörig. Wenn jemanden die Steckdose im Nebenzimmer benutzt hat, hat es sich angehört als ob die Wand einbrechen wurde. Das war so gegen Mitternacht. Extrem kleine Zimmer, wo nur ein Bett passt. Keine hänge Möglichkeiten, in einem Zimmer in einen anderen Zimmer war ein schmaler Kleiderschrank aber oder Kleiderbügeln, also, keine Hängemöglichkeit und niemanden zu fragen. Personal wenn die da waren, waren sehr nett. Ein Badezimmer für ca. 12 oder mehr Zimmer.
