Gradevole alberghetto in comoda posizione
Piccolo albergo sito in zona tranquilla e comoda per raggiungere a piedi i punti centrali della città. Personale gentile e disponibile; camere silenziose anche se non grandissime ; bagno un pò ristretto , ma accettabile . Locali molto caldi la notte .

Ottima posizione e buon compromesso qualità-prezzo
abbiamo dormito qui una notte in transito verso il nostro viaggio nel nord dell'Inghilterra. L'hotel si distingue per la posizione sicuramente comodissima, a 10 minuti dalla Victoria Station e a qualche minuto in più di piacevole passeggiata da luoghi di interesse turistico come Westminster o il Big Ben. All'arrivo l'hotel presenta una hall molto curata, con personale gentile, ed un bar abbastanza carino. La nostra stanza era molto spaziosa e funzionale, anche se un po' polverosa per l'eccesso di moquette (problema comune in Inghilterra). Anche il bagno era pratico e abbastanza spazioso. Unico punto negativo il letto, matrimoniale ma purtroppo un po' stretto (e noi non siamo certo dei giganti). In ogni caso credo che quando torneremo a Londra prenderemo in considerazione questo hotel, anche in funzione di un ottimo rapporto tra il prezzo pagato e la posizione/servizi offerti

Albergo British style, la struttura sicuramente da rimettere in ordine, soprattutto negli impianti, ma la posizione dell’hotel e la gentilezza del personale superano questi inconvenienti. Lo consiglierei a chi non é particolarmente schizzinoso, anche se la pulizia é buona.

The hotel is overrated. Not a 4-star hotel. Room extra-small, no minibar, less than average amenities. Breakfast very expensive and poor. Entrance hall and common rooms tiny and dingy. Reception horrible. Particularly disliked having to fill in my personal details on a tablet myself.

Camera superior nel seminterrato con tubi rumorosi
Ho acquistato una camera doppia supirior ma quella assegnatami era nel seminterrato. Il bagno era vecchio con le tubature dell acqua calda che facevano strani rumori. La vista della camera del seminterrato dava su un mini marciapiede non curato con secchi di vernice e vari oggetti sembrava il ripostiglio di un cantiere. Insomma neanche una standard. Per il resto posizione, servizio pulizia e personale niente da dire.

La stanza è molto piccola e senza aria condizionata, la quale non c'`e in nessuna stanza dell'albergo. Fortunatamente è possibile aprire almeno un pochino le due finestre, per cui il caldo diventa sopportabile. Un aspetto positivo è dato dalla collocazione al quarto piano, che assicura un minimo di vista e tanta luce.La mobilia è antica e gradevole, anche se lo spazio di movimento tra sedia, tavolo e letto è estremamente ridotto. Buono il caffè solubile, complimentary, e anche il tè. Data la mancanza di aria condizionata, sarebbe opportuno che venisse offerta almeno una bottiglina d'acqua minerale. Per il resto, il personale è gentile e disponibile; l'edifico decoroso sia esternamente che internamente, con un bel bar al pianterreno in cui è possibile ingannare il tempo o dare appuntamento a qualcuno. In un battibaleno si arriva a piedi al Tamigi da una parte e a Victoria Station dall'altra, con giardini pubblici, locali e negozi in abbondanza, e tutto il resto dietro l'angolo, comprese le stazioni della metropolitana di Victoria, Pimlico e Vauxhall.

Poteva andare molto meglio!
Andrei was the only kind and polite person who we met in the hotel. We found pant and socks near our bed in the room, they weren't ours, of course! There's dust everywhere. The explanations about minibar and english breakfast were wrong, aggressive and insulting.

Ottimo hotel ma camere piccole
L'Hotel è signorile e si trova in Vincent Square una delle piazze a mia parere più belle di Londra a 10 minuti da Victoria Station. L'accoglienza e i servizi sono stati ottimi. L'unico appunto negativo è la dimensione della camera per tre persone. Dalla foto della prenotazione si trattava di un doppio vano con due letti nel primo e uno nell'altro, mentre nella realtà la camera era una doppia con un letto in più in un angolo. Il bagno era naturalmente piccolo perché progettato per due persone.

If you need internet for work while at this hotel , forget about it. It is painfully slow. Google mail won’t open unless you refresh 5-10 times. Condition of the hotel - dated. Lots of marble, that probably was looking nice in the 70s. No A/C , so prepare to sleep with the windows open. If you do sleep with your windows open, the building near has big A/C units so you will hear that noise the entire night. Stains on the carpet, musty smell. I don’t know why this property is advertised as 4 stars. Should be 1 or 2.

First time staying at this hotel, located in a quiet area of Westminster but plenty of shops/cafes around the area (although when we were staying a lot were closed), Big Ben, Westminster Abbey are a 10 minute walk away. The hotel itself is a bit old fashioned but very clean and has all the amenities you would want, a great base! Some work was going on during our stay so we were woken up to drilling noises some days and the water wasn’t working for half the day on one of the days either which wasn’t the most ideal. Our room had a lovely balcony which overlooked a football pitch which was nice to relax on after a long day! Will happily return here.

Really not great at all!
We had no hot water, we had to take freezing cold showers. The iron was broken in my room and when I used it it leaked all over my shirt just before we went out. The kettle in our room was also broken, when I boiled it I had to sit with it and hold the button down. Nothing seemed to work and while it didn’t ruin my partners birthday it certainly put a dampener on what was supposed to be a happy relaxed experience. By the end of the trip we almost found it funny that nothing worked in the room as it should. I don’t like to complain but for the price of the room I expected much more than I got.

Comfortable, convenient and friendly
Staff is amazing. We needed extra pillows and within two minutes, there was a knock on our door to fill our request. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. Location is within a short walk of many iconic places. This was a great find, and we plan on staying again on our next visit.

Impeccable service/high quality
Great stay. Surprise trip away for my girlfriend's 29th birthday. The hotel was great and organised a cake and fruit basket for us at an extra charge. Added the extra touch of balloons and a card (girlfriend said that was very sweet). Had an afternoon tea at The Wellington just around the corner, very nice!! The room was great size wise and even had our own little balcony. The bathroom has a bath/shower combo with great pressure and it was honestly nice to have a bath as we only have a shower at home. The food was of high quality and the staff on duty were always exceeding polite! Even provided us larger drinking glasses for water and an extension cable as there were limited plugs. They even provided complimentary little slippers which was a well appreciated touch! We opted not to have the room serviced as there wasn't really a need, you don’t replace towels/bed linen after every use at home so no need while away, easy to clean up after yourselves. Only downsides were not enough plugs, small teacups, no coat rack for outside jackets, lack of communication with The Wellington regarding having prepaid for afternoon tea and silverfish in the bathroom (reported to reception on departure - not before as it isn't necessarily preventable/their fault, only really reported so they knew and could take action if needed)

This is a very good hotel. It is located in a very safe area and is very close to Victoria station (15 min walk). The hotel bed is very comfortable and hygiene and the room overall were very good. This hotel is very good especially given the relatively low price (in january). I really recommend this hotel!

The building doesn't have air conditioning, there was loud construction going on, on the first floor during the day. They purposefully set off the fire alarm multiple times during the day. On our last day there one of the maid staff came into our room without knocking and quickly closed the door seeing we were in the room.

Regrettably, when the property was initially converted we were not permitted to install air-conditioning and we do not advertise that the same is available. However, we are pleased to inform that The Rochester has started a progressive enhancement and refurbishment programme which will also include the installation of air conditioning, to bring the property in line with The Wellington hotel.We regret and extend our apologies any inconvenience which may have been caused due to the ongoing works and by the fire alarm which was activated due to the same. In line with health and safety regulations the alarm was reset. As is sometimes the case it takes time for the air to clear from the smoke detector heads and alarm was reactivated when reset.Please be assured that all of your comments have been shared with the hotel's manager to address appropriately in our constant endeavor to improve and enhance the services and facilities offered to our valued guests. Comfortable but needs a revamp
This hotel felt dated and need of modernising. Seeing the wall paper peeling off the walls was slightly alarming at first but all the facilities worked well and it was very comfortable with attentive staff. This could be such a nice boutique hotel with a little investment. The coffee and tea wasn’t very nice, which was a shame even in a travel lodge you’d get Yorkshire Tea, so it was a shame as it could be so nice with a revamp and better tea.
