E' un hotel in una bella posizione: ci si può muovere a piedi o usare la fermata della metro di Russel Square. L'hotel è in perfetto inglese vecchio stile, molto bello e confortevole nello steso tempo. Le camere sono comode, pulite e tranquille. Il servizio è inappuntabile.

Small old style hotel with open air restaurant
The hotel is relatively small, old Victorian style, generally clean and with a pretty good service. Rooms are well equipped but often are small ones. If you are looking for a quiet place it could be a good choice. It is an interesting one in the summer time thanks to its unique open air restaurant facing a very nice garden

Hotel bello e raffinato in ottima posizione
Questo è forse uno dei migliori hotel in cui sono stata a Londra. Hotel raffinato, curato nei particolari, pulito, con le camere molto belle, un buon ristorante. Il personale è gentile e attento. Un ottima esperienza che spero di ripetere la prossima volta in cui andrò a Londra.

Our stay at the Montague was first rate. Check-in was the most pleasant ever. Every staff member was courteous and professional. The room was a VIP upgrade to a suite. Turn down service, chocolates on the bed, just a wonderful experience. The leopard bar was cozy and the jazz saxophonist terrific. Restaurant looked top notch but did not eat there. This is my London hotel!

Brilliant three night stay in this boutique hotel gem. Staff are superb from the doorman, concierge to reception people. Lots of options for food or a drink with terrace areas overlooking an adjacent garden.

A nice old fashioned hotel with a doorman, deep seats in the lobby, and an old timey bar. Modernized attractive bathroom. Housekeeping seems a bit spaced out but mostly fine, and the bar and restaurant play terrible music, except when there is rather nice live jazz. A little taken aback by the £15 daily “optional” service charge, aka tip for the staff. I’m happy for the staff to be well compensated, but would prefer to have a higher room charge, outright, than have this added on.

This is a very British hotel in the classical sense but with very modern amenities. Perfect location. Lots of little touches like a personalized welcome card from the manager. Comfy bed with nice thick crisp cotton hotel sheets and duvet. TV screen that literally covers an entire wall. Rain shower. Incredibly friendly helpful staff. Concierge even managed to get us tickets to a sold out show in West End (which is walking distance.) Great bar. Lovely gardens and the best cream tea around. It's the only place we stay in London.

Hotel Montague was great
Everything about the Montague was great! It’s a nicely refurbished older hotel in a great location. Staff was amazing - so service oriented in so many ways. Nice restaurant and bar, very comfortable sitting room (although we never found time to enjoy it!)

Perfect Stay
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel - 5 nights between Christmas and New Years. The hotel staff is wonderful- they are warm, welcoming and helpful (even mailing my husband’s forgotten hat back). Everything from our room, afternoon tea, late evening g in the bar and breakfast (husband loved kippers every day) were great. We will be back.

Great customer service. Very small room. Cruise ships have bigger rooms. Judging from pictures on the hotel web site never would guess room be so small. Found dirty (hair) in shower when we checked in. Location of hotel a good 30 min walk to tourists areas.

This a beautiful small hotel adjacent to the British Museum. The staff are friendly, attentive and committed to ensure comfort and a great stay. Great food in the restaurant, atmosphere in the bar and central sitting with coffee in the morning and hot chocolate in the afternoon. Short walk to Russel Square tube Station gives quick access to the London sites and a direct connection to Heathrow. Will definitely stay again the next time we are in London.

Everything at the montague on the gardens was perfect to us, first of all the staff, extremely friendly, welcoming, helpful, nicely decorated room, very comfy beds . Me and my daughter stayed 5 nights, we only had a slight issue on our second night, but it was immediately corrected. The location is just perfect, few meters away from the British museum!. And the breakfast is just amazing. There is really nothing wrong to say, this is how every hotel of this class should be, really.

Zeer vriendelijk, correct en behulpzaam personeel! Goed gelegen. De kamer was verouderd ,extreem klein en het bed idem, wel top matras. Ook gehorig boven onze kamer. Kamer was voor 1 persoon vermoed ik. Make-up spiegel was stuk, geen handdouche. Ontbijt eenvoudig en rommelig voor een 4 sterrenhotel.
