Big room in reach of transportation
Nice and cheap motel near South transportation point. Room is very big and comfortable. The only two negative points are the AC not controllable and the shower a little bit not practical. Be sure to wait at 7 to take some stuff for breakfast because usually people is not so kind and they lined up to take everything, at 8 am everything is finished and the food doesn't get replaced until next morning. Assistance during breakfast would be required.

Didn't get the extra wash clothes that i requested. Love that it is close to the hospital for my surgery. The room was to warm. Love that the room was spacious.

Property was absolutely falling apart. Shower head was broken in the room as well as couple other items. I was very disappointed because room smelled like cigarette smoke and mold really bad. Unfortunately my child is severely allergic to that smell so we had to leave right away. I informed upfront desk that room was supposed to be nonsmoking room and they couldn’t help us with it. They told me that they charged my card already and not planning to help us. We had to drive around and find a different hotel. It was absolutely waste of money and we were extremely disappointed. The fact that their rooms ripped with cigarette smoke and they advertised as nonsmoking rooms is unbelievable! If I knew that I would never book room in that hotel. My first time booking with Expedia :(

I booked the hotel online and arrived at the location around 11:30 night. After waiting for 20 mins, I was told to go to some other property as they are full. They didn’t even provide the address properly and It was very tough to get into their other branch hotel finally. I was literally harassed at midnight .

Having read the reviews I was approaching my stay here with mixed feelings. The lady on reception was very helpful with my arrival as I was planning to arrive early and she provided me with options to leave it whilst I attended what I needed to. When I arrived back that evening my bags were already in my room waiting for me. Each morning we were provided with a basic contential breakfast but for me enough to start my day. My room was cozy and clean; have no complaints about that. The air con was cold and I could find the panel to adjust this but that might have juat been me being stupid. All in all really enjoyed my stay and would stay here again if ever in Madison

Nice place
It was a nice place to stay. Clean and small, but enough for the time we spent there. There was no control over AC or heating, but the covers of the bed provides sufficient comfort at night, since we were not there often during the days.

Unbearable Smell :(
I didn’t know I was gonna be staying at the bates motel, this place was underwhelming to say the least, but whatever it’s just one night right, wrong. You pull up to the place, very unimpressive, but the price seemed fair, considering the other options available at the time. The owner/manager, not the most friendly, but that’s ok. Then you get to the room, hard wood floors, that’s nice, but there is this strong smell that just fills up your nose, you can’t put your finger on it, what it is. I was going to just try stick it out but it was just so hard to breath in there, it wouldn’t go away. I sat there for about two and a half hours before I couldn’t take it any more, and had to leave. I checked out and went and stayed at another hotel, please do yourself a favor and don’t stay here!!!

Got there with reservation and told me they had no room. Divert to other location on other side of town. Room was dirty and shower was disgusting.

Honestly, not worth the price we paid. The outside and inner building doors were a nice surprise. But for non-smoking rooms, you could tell somewhere in the building people were smoking, as the venting all seemed intertwined since there was no individual thermostats in the rooms and the air came from one place above the closet in the room. Sheets hadnt been changed as there was weird dirt on the fitted sheet. Oh, and i was a bit tangled in that "fitted sheet" in the morning since it was actually just a flat sheet laid over the mattress protector. Small room for a king bed, closet had the fridge, mixrowave and coffee maker in it as keeping those items in the room itself would have taken up too much space. The breakfast offerred in the morning contained a bunch of bruised or really ripe fruit, and the employee i saw going in and out of the laundry room kept drinking the coffee, so there was none when i went to get some. Someone, who i assumed was the manager, text me just before 3 asking what time i was planning to arrive, not sure why since i hadnt not shown up or anything and my understanding was check in was to start at 3 or 4... kind of a hole in the wall place, really dont think it was worth $115.

The property was very simple but clean. It should not be priced as high as we paid - $200. It is more of an 80 to $100 room value.

Worst hotel experience EVER
The worst hotel experience of my life. Bugs crawling around the bed, fresh bodily fluids INSIDE the bed sheets. Not enough towels for all guests to shower and no one available to bring more until tomorrow at 9am . Heat you could not turn down. I was sweating in the room wearing shorts and t-shirt. Ended up leaving the ground level door open, even though it was 2 degrees outside because the window wouldn't open, and it was too hot without the door open. Dirty. Insect infested. We ended up leaving 1 hour after arriving. I complained to the hotel AND to hotels.com. I was never refunded the money. Whatever you do DO not stay here

Do not stay here, avoid at all costs. Hotel is disgusting, does not match photos, completely unsafe. Locks dont work, holes in wall cheaply patched, black stuff in beds, and sketchy people around outside all night. Staff is no where to be found.

Hotel took my $50 deposit. I left the room spotless, and didn't smoke in room. Now, I have to go out my way to get my deposit back.

The room temperature was 100 degrees with no control of the temperature. Too hot!! The room next door 117 and had a party over flowing the room. The room phone did not work Called the reservation phone number no one answered the phone. Actually thought of calling the police. I would not stay there again. It did not meet expectations for basic needs.

Over all was good. Room doesn't have individual air conditioner control so it was extremely warm in the room. Friend had to loan me a fan just to be able to sleep in room

Fine if all you need is a place to sleep.
I only needed a hotel to lay my head down at night since I was working an event with 12 hour days all week. The bed was clean, it got made every day and towels changed. There were tiny gnat-like bugs in the towels, and crickets on the floor of the motel in my room. The room was also VERY dark, lights were not at all bright. And the mini fridge was not plugged in, so my roommate had a bunch of food go bad.

Clean comfortable stay
This is a clean, comfortable hotel. The Check-in process was contactless, using a Ring Doorbell for communication and lockbox to dispense the room key. The beds were great and linens were freshly pressed. Breakfast area was sanitary and inviting. We enjoyed our stay!

We needed a place to sleep and this worked. The check in involved a remote bell ringer who did not know of us coming. She figured it out quickly but it was a bit complex. A bedside light and a hook in the bathroom would add a lot to a serviceable room. If I were a single woman traveling, I would have felt a bit uncomfortable due to 2 doors accessing the room and low exterior lighting.

No one was at front desk when we arrived, called the phone number and they checked us in over the phone and gave us a key through a lockbox. Big room and clean and comfortable.

The price was great. The room was clean and nice. Small modern fridge with a real freezer. Roku TV. Shampoo and soap dispenser in the shower. The bed was very comfortable. The check in lady explained everything very well. Great two night stay! The only issue is the phone number is incorrect on DuckDuckGo
