tranquilla, isolata e piacevole autonomia
Posto sicuramente tranquillo, pulito e confortevole. Camere grandi e accoglienti con tutto l'indispensabile, grande balcone vivibile, ottimo posto per un soggiorno famigliare. Unico neo: mancanza di segnalazioni stradali e, essendo abbastanza fuori mano, in mezzo ai bosch, difficile da trovare la prima volta. Poi, scelta ottima, se in macchina!

Thank you for your comments on your experience at the Forest Lodge. As we are a little out of the way we work closely with two car hire operator and we offer our guests very favourable hire rate. We once again thank you for your comments and we are also working to improve the road signs.

Spacious room in a good location
Good location near the beautiful Beau Vallon beach. The room had ample space with a large balcony. There was no view but it was nice to sit out there and I enjoyed watching several geckos on the ceiling. Decorative touches included making the bed with folds and folding the toilet paper roll. However upon arrival the top sheet of my bed had many tiny ants crawling all over it which they remedied immediately by changing the sheets. I also found the bed and pillows uncomfortable. The rooms are on the upper level which requires getting luggage up the stairs though fortunately there is a bell boy to help. The kitchen had a frigo bar, stove burners, microwave, toaster and hot water heater. Although I was required to checkout by 10am I was allowed to use a shower later to wash off the sand before my flight which was a great help.

I note that you found the pillows and bed a bit hard, whilst others tell me they are comfortable with it.Our standard check out time is 10,00 am. Very cozy and comfy stay
Very neat and clean studio apartment, very convenient location, fruit platter, the owner has a very reasonable and affordable additional service such as taxi and drinks.

Very nice experience
Quiet location, always had space for my rental car which should be necessary to book! Whenever we asked for help with our room or daily sightseeings, Stephen helped us and will remember his hospitality a lot.

Home away from home
Comfortable apartment with a big terrace facing west. Calm and quiet neighborhood in beautiful, lush surroundings. Excellent wifi. The bus stop and the closest grocery store is about 500 meters away, and two supermarkets with a larger selection of food can be found in Beau Vallon, 2 kilometers away. A small, beautiful beach which you will have almost to yourself is only ten minutes walk from the hotel. The manager Stephen and his family and staff are very welcoming and generous, and will help you with whatever you need during your stay. We felt very much at home!

Vuodenvaihteessa isompien hotellin hinnat oli "taivaissa" ja niissä ei ollutkaan vapaita huoneita. Jouduimme ottamaan tämän lähes ainoana vapaana olevana matkamme kahdeksi ensimmäiseksi päiväksi. Paikka oli pieni mutta isäntä oli todella mukava. Järjesti meille lyhyellä varoajalle läheisestä majatalosta uudenvuoden ruokailun sekä vielä uudenvuoden yönä kuskasi meidät Viktorian keskustaan seuraamaan vuodenvaihdetta. Paikka sijaitsee ylempänä mäessä ilman merinäkymää. Kävelymatkan päässä on kaksi hiekkarantaa ja matkalla saa ostettua eväät. Olimme varanneet parin päivän päästä samalta rannalta isomman hotellin johon isäntä lopuksi kuljetti meidän. Kiva tuttavuus.

La location est décentrée, et en haut d'une côte assez raide. Il vaut mieux avoir une voiture, mais il y a un arrêt de bus en bas. Merci à Stephen pour le contact très chaleureux.

Wonderful Stay
I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. I had multiple questions about the area and things to do and they made my stay a warm and welcome one. I highly recommend this hidden gem to those traveling to the area!

Very comfortable stay in well-equipped and well-maintained accommodation. Beautiful view of mountain forest. Close to grocery, wine shops and good French imported foods store. Near the beach and restaurants. Owner very warm and helpful.

Great value and wonderful host
Stephen, the host, is incredibly accommodating and nice. We were very comfortable and pleased with our experience at Forest Lodge. It's a bit of a hike to the beach or the bus stop, but it's a pleasant walk.

Forest Lodge being a small Guest House, with five rooms, enable us to give personal attention to our guests. Our aim is to make our guests feel at home away from home. We try our best to always assist our guests as far as practicable. Benjamin was a great guy and we were very happy with him.

Stephen, the owner, did an amazing job! The service is great! The room is big and confortable, but the shower could be better. But there is no doubt that the cost/benefit worth it.

Subtle comforts
Our stay here was good. If we had not planned to go to different areas of Seychelles, it would have been a nice place to just relax. The TV and wifi worked well, the bedding and towels were clean, and the furnished patio was a nice place to relax.

We had a nice stay at Forest Lodge. The room was spacious and clean and Stephen was a very kind and helpful host. The location is quite remote (we liked it) and you'll need a car to get around but it's probably better to have a car to visit Mahe anyway.

Lovely studio in forest surroundings
The property is run by a very friendly and helpful couple who went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. For e.g., when the studio wifi failed they set us up on their personal home wifi (which is next door). The kitchen was well stocked with the basics and the room and bathroom were very comfortable. However a car is essential, the hotel is located some distance away from the main road up a rather winding and hilly incline.

nice guest house, close to a nice cool forest.
the beauty of staying in small self catering guest house is that you get to cook and eat what you like esp. if you're on a budget holiday, further you get the attention you may never get from a huge establishment.

Thank you Mr Johannes for your review. We have now placed a layer of memory gel on some of our mattresses to make it more comfortable. However, we have also experience that some visitors prefer a hard mattress. We are also very happy that over all you enjoyed your stay at the Forest Lodge. Kind regards.
