“The house was adorable and perfect for our relaxed little family of four and fur kids. We are easy going and really don’t need too much. With that said it was a rainy weekend and the walk from our vehicle to the house was extremely wet, socks, shoes, bottom of pants soaked. A nice little stepping stone walkway would be awesome. But unlike the rest of my family I packed rain boots and didn’t have an issue. The area was serene the hike to the beach definitely a crows mile, we didn’t ever end up...

“Lovely home in a quiet place. The house was very cold when we arrived (54 F) and it took a while to heat up. Once the bedroom doors are closed, the rooms stop being heated up by the living room heater. The duvets were very warm so that helped for the nights. And once the house gets warmer, it's spacious, cozy and well equipped. Location is great as well, close to Mendocino. We overall had a comfortable stay and would recommend!”

“Really is close to shopping and coastal trails yet quiet and scenic. Easy kitchen and large living room makes staying at a hotel pointless.”

“Everything was as described and it was a great place in a great location. As the listing warns, the place can get chilly. Definitely plan to bring space heaters and/or firewood.”

“Property is well used but nicely maintained. Location was perfect for us; close to all beaches and parks, towns but far enough that we didn't have the hustle of tourists and traffic. I would stay again in a heartbeat. There's so much beauty and nature left to visit.”

“That cabin was awesome! It was quiet and relaxed. The cabin had everything we needed and more, including WiFi! The outdoor show was nice and a great way to wake up in the morning. Would definitely stay here again. We loved everything about this cabin”

“Overall a great stay. Small kitchen, but that wasn't a concern for us. We used and enjoyed the hot tub. For some parties it may be an issue that you have to talk through one bedroom to get to the other.”

“Very comfortable cabin just outside town of Elk. Great wood burning stove, ocean view, close to great restaurants and really close to many hiking trails and beaches.”

“We loved the fire pit— it’s easy to pick up plenty of wood from the surrounding forest. The outdoor shower was great too! Super quiet.”

“Wonderfully located and thoughtfully appointed - this property was the perfect spot to enjoy Mendocino! This is the perfect place to stay with extended family as there are 2 properties but also plenty of space to socialized together. We really appreciated the stylish decor, thoughtful welcome gift and well appointed kitchen, bathrooms and laundry (best tea and coffee selection we have ever had at a holiday rental!!!) Thank you!”

“What a gem! We loved our stay at Mendo Bungalow. It’s charming, quiet, super clean & comfortable. The managers go the extra mile to make guests comfortable. Chairs on the lawn with a fantastic view, s’mores kits, water bottles in the room. Every thoughtful detail—so nice to settle in for the night in a place like this. Also very close to Mendocino—4 minute drive to restaurants, stores, coastal walks, etc. ”
