Relaxation at Diani Beach
Diani Sea Resort is just wonderful. The hotel rooms are lovely, the gardens are beautiful, and the staff is friendly and courteous. We could not have been happier with our stay at Diani Sea Resort. I highly recommend this resort.

Good property, good service, slow at times though. Lots of walking and stairs depending on the room. Rooms are extremely basic. Bathroom amenities are sparse...no idea what the hair conditioner is, shampoo or body wash is. Food can be a hit and miss with long line ups at the buffet as the staff is very slow in preparing the meals at the cooking stations. To be honest was over priced for what we got but maybe it was the season. I would rate it as a 3 star property.

The resort was very nice, the pool was big but the waterslide was not great, though my kids still had fun playing on it and the organized activities provided by staff. The only issue we had was being able to walk on the beach because of how many "beach boys" were hanging out right at the stairs of the resort.

Our main fresh water supplier Kwale water company has been rationing supply due to the prevailing drought in the country leaving our desalinated water for use in the kitchen. Dear J'attendais mieux Than you for taking your time to give us this review. it is unfortunate that we were unable to meet your expectations. we have taken note of the buffet and food concerns and will engage our team. our shower water is not from the sea but a borehole. we do not receive enough water from the county water supply and therefore are forced to supplement with borehole water that unfortunately is salty. We do hope you can give us another chance to serve you.

Great staff, good food, fantastic location with great access to the beach. Rooms are perfectly good for a beach hotel. House wine isn't great, so worth spending a few quid on a decent bottle. There are too few staff on the beach bar, so often a wait. This a great value hotel and all-inclusive package

Hello, the hotel staff was very nice, so one looks away from small mistakes in the room (I was bothered by the touch of mold from the sink, my husband's lack of air conditioning). What was a big problem, however, was the availability of the hotel from the airport in Mombasa:( Hotels.com states 45 minutes, but in fact at night after arrival the taxi took 2 hours !! The hotel goes across the river and you have to use a ferry. The journey back to Mombasa took 4.5 hours !! it was monday morning, crazy traffic and we only waited for the ferry for 3 hours :( that day only two ferries operated. Fortunately we didn't go to the airport, but we continued elsewhere in Kenya. So watch out, the only way is through the ferry. This may have been an exception, but both night (after midnight) and morning trips took significantly longer than the hotel reports. The hotel had a great pool with a very pleasant water temperature, I emphasize that. And the beach right next to the hotel very nice :)

Yes the trip from the Mombasa Airport to the hotel is a bit of a long one, especially after factoring in Traffic and wait time and the Ferry. However with favourable conditions one can make the trip in just under two hours. We enjoy This property and will go back. It seems as if the waiting staff are getting ruder each time we go. The dinner lines get extremely long 10-15 minutes of waiting for meat or eggs or Nan. Even, for sitting down for a drink or snack, the waiter staff just walk by and don’t acknowledge one. Then they get upset with you when you ask for something. Otherwise, pool, beachfront property and the stay is nice. The other staff outside of the waiters are very pleasant and kind.

The hotel is at an excellent location but it is in pretty bad condition and needs an upgrade to reach the 4 stars it is supposed to be. Although it is clean with amazing staff, they have a water problem ( salty water from tap so showering is a challenge) and air conditioning problem.

Thank you for choosing to holiday with us and bringing this issue to our attention. We understand your frustration. We pride ourselves in giving the best possible guest experience, and we are sorry we fell short in this instance. The water is filled with treated borehole water. Due to the proximity of the borehole to the Ocean, it might be a bit salty. We will be closed temporarily to renovate the remaining hotel section for the next 2 months from April 13th till June 5th. Air conditioning was out as there was a regional power glitch on one day. We will work on more backup options . Thank you once more for staying with us and taking time to review us.

Dear Anonyomous , Thank you for taking the time to review. We would love to investigate what happened in your case. There was a 48 hour power failure recently that did not allow us to run the ACs at all time as otherwise we would have overheated the generator. We do use treated well water mixed with fresh water in order to reduce our environmental footprint and therefore the water for the showers might sometimes by slightly salty. Avec ce qui s’est passé à la fin de notre séjour je ne vois pas ce qu’il y a à raconter Nous nous sommes fait voler 600€ dans notre coffre fort cela est inadmissible de la part de l’hôtel qui n’a rien fait. Nous avons fait 34 réservation durant ces 8 dernières années et jamais n’avons vécu un tel cauchemar c’était la somme équivalente de notre séjour de 4 jours comme si on avait payé le double de notre séjour plus jamais cet hôtel de voleurs et malhonnêtes.À notre avis ils se sont tous mis d’accord car la direction n’a pas donné suite à notre réclamation via Hotels.com une honte pour l’image de l’hôtellerie.
