Our Favourite Retreat
This was our second stay at Mt Tully. We relaxed as soon as we walked in the door! The cottage is so quiet, no wifi and the ability to self cater and retreat from the world is so wonderful! A nice walk up the hill on the property (no need to trek through national parks) and not far from our fave winery and restaurant for lunch (St Jude’s ) We needed this and will be back. P.S. thank you for the unscheduled cold weather . Was lovely to light the fire!

Very comfortable , great fire place , very private and only 10 minutes to town. Very close to Girraween. Nice walks around the property. Will be back next winter

Cottage has everything you could want or need. Short walks around the property were a hit with our 7 yo. Great short escape.

Great family getaway
I had a fantastic week at the Mt Tully farmhouse and Nature reserve, with my husband and 2 young kids! The cottage is small but very comfortable for 4 people and well appointed with everything we needed to cook nice dinners. There is no oven, but we had success in cooking sausage rolls on the top rack of the BBQ, lol. We had a great time exploring the property and saw crimson rosellas and fairy wrens on our walks. We also enjoyed spending time at Giraween National Park, which is reasonably close by. The wood stove was much appreciated for the chilly, June nights (minimum temperature was ~1-4C while we were there). Thank you for a great week.

Private, scenic and comfy.
Very private cottage set in a beautiful, natural setting. We really loved the walking tracks that ascended the boulders, and the fireplace made the place feel really cozy. It wasn’t far from the town, particularly considering how remote it felt at the property.

Weekend Getaway
We stayed at the cottage for my sister's birthday. It did not disappoint. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of firewood and super clean. Much to explore around the area. We enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend.

The photos on Wotif don’t do the property justice, the cottage is immaculately clean and the linens very comfortable. The tracks around the cottage are really nice to walk and the green tables and chairs hidden around the property were a nice suprise

Secluded Granite Belt house
Mt Tully is a fully equipped house located on a nature reserve. It's totally surrounded by trees and has no views, so you can feel hemmed in. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay, and is not too far from Stanthorpe or Ballandean. It's on a relatively quiet road so is very peaceful. Unfortunately there is no mobile phone or internet reception (we had Telstra & Vodaphone), so you can't check messages, use Spotify, or communicate with anyone, which sounds wonderful but the reality is not the case, especially when you need to check weather forecasts, and have family contact, etc.

Great place to take a break.
We went with another couple and enjoyed our stay at My Tully. The house was comfortable and well appointed. The facilities were great and we enjoyed a fire in the evenings. We enjoyed the quietness of being out away from everything but also enjoyed being able to do day trips to various places in the vicinity.

Amazing quiet getaway
This is just what we needed - to listen to the birds, the wind and not interact with anyone. This property is a natural oasis and I strongly recommend it to anyone needing to unwind with a book, or walk in the nearby National Parks.

CLOSE ISOLATION!
All 4 of us were busy professionals/business people, and loved that no one could reach us, ..... but we were only a 15 min drive to town or amazing wineries! (yes it had an old fashion landline phone for emergency)

Nice Country Retreat
Pleasant, but thought it was expensive for what it offers. Needs a proper oven and work bench for food prep. It’s a bit out of town so you will be doing some self catering. Also there are few decent restaurants in town. It’s clean and the surrounds are lovely.

What a wonderful stay!

What a place to stay !!!!!
What an experience - everything you could ask for in a cottage, including a few local items you could purchase. Beds comfortable, fireplace lit for our arrival. Everything has been thought through. The information on the surrounds re the bird life, plants and flowers was amazing. Definitely a mini Giraween - with chairs and tables placed for you to experience the bush. Thank you to Jo and Nick. Would highly recommend this property.

One of our happy places
This is our fourth or fifth stay at Mt Tully cottage and we love it! The cottage is spotlessly clean, cozy and equipped with everything you need for a weekend (or more) getaway. Feels very much like a home away from home. Lots to explore on your doorstep and beyond. We missed coming last year due to lockdowns so were thrilled to return this year. Thank you Jo and Nick for hosting us again. It was so nice meeting you both this time too. We loved the new sofa and outdoor furniture. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Hideaway in Granite Landscape
Light filled modern cottage with everything you need supplied including ground coffee. Nature reserve a delight with beautiful colourful parrots. Loved the fireplace and comfy beds. Very relaxing!

Wonderful private escape
This was a great escape to the Granite Belt. The accommodation is private and spacious and cosy at the same time. Loved the fire and everything that we needed was there. Loved the walking tracks and the bird life. Fabulous place.

Such a wonderful little cottage in a truly magnificent location. Secluded, at one with nature, true tranquillity! The cottage was spotless, extremely well appointment and just had an air of tasteful country living. Well located for visiting the Granite Belt, but away from the hustle and bustle allowing a peaceful escape. Thank you.

A lovely little cottage
Our small group of 2 retired couples enjoyed our stay in this relaxing snug cottage. We enjoyed drinks together looking out to the lovely natural surrounds and made great use of the bbq for our meals extending our outdoor experience. A light above the bbq would be a great addition but a torch worked for us. It was so nice to have a fire for when we came inside and appreciated the wood all ready for us to use. The kitchen had everything we needed. We did the short walk around the cottage a couple of times which was very relaxing although we did not see many animals or birds. A great place to stay for our small group of 4. Thankyou to our hosts for making our stay a comfortable and relaxing experience.

The property was every thing they said it would be. Clean, tidy, and well equipped. Rates were reasonable. Out of the way but still only a few minutes drive from town. It was a bit chilly to explore the grounds, but there were well signed walking tracks and a lovely outdoor setting nestled amongst the huge granite boulders and lovely natural bush surrounds. Hope to come back on regular basis. Thankyou

Peaceful Retreat
Our first visit to this lovely, well maintained property and I just know that we'll be visiting again. Comfortable furnishings, lovely linen and a well stocked wood pile all contributed to a peaceful, relaxing weekend. We couldn't have wished for more. Loved walking the tracks around the house and we were treated to many bird sightings. The wildflowers were stunning. The property is secluded from the road and surrounded by the wonderful Australian bush. Close enough to Stanthorpe to pop in for a morning coffee and then head off to hike at Girraween National Park. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome.

Perfect escape
I stayed for 4 nights to refresh and also to concentrate on getting some artworks and creative work done. It was perfect for my needs. Quiet and inspirational. The cottage was beautifully presented, clean and had everything I needed and then some. Lots of wildlife around and the winter flowering plants on the property were stunning. There is plenty of wood in the woodshed to burn in the big Masport fireplace to keep you warm on even the coldest of nights. The beds are firm but comfortable, the linens were excellent quality. It is a short drive into town, but the cottage is still secluded enough that you really don’t need to see another person if you don’t want to. There really is no mobile phone reception or Internet as they say, but that just adds to the lovely peace and quiet of this wonderful place. Loved every moment. Can’t wait until my next art escape out here!

Perfect
We always look forward to and enjoy are visits to Mt Tully and this visit was no exception. The house is so cozy and comfortable, clean and well appointed. This visit is the first we have experienced during rain and the property came alive, we discovered a running stream we had never seen before, orchids and natives in boom and wallabies grazing close to the house. At the end of the day the fireplace is very welcome. Thank you Jo & Nick for your hospitality.

Immersed in nature
We loved our short stay in the comfort of Mt Tully cottage: the slow combustion heater was wonderful during the cold snap and the cottage comfortable and well equipped. My husband enjoyed sketching the interesting rock formations and I had a great time with looking at birds and wildflowers. We've recommended the property to friends.
