Unfavorable value for money.
Difficult road. Far from the shops. Mainly dark and poorly lit apartment, very hot in summer. Car wrecks and crumbling walls in the immediate vicinity. Property swimming pool away from the house. Ineffective fencing for dogs.

Hello Mercedes, we are sorry you had such unpleasant stay, all the information of our property are provided on the website such as distance from the shops ( 3km), distance of the private swimming pool ( 100m from the house), the house is dark because is an historical building from the 1800s and it's been designed to keep the heat out, we are not responsible for our neighbours property ( car wreck and crumbling walls) or hot weather but we do provide our guests with AC and a safe,clean enviroment. We never claimed to own an "effective fence for dogs" but will keep this review in mind to improve our guests experience. Regards Marina

La casa di Marina e' bellissima, accessoriata di tutto e con un grande camino nella sala da pranzo. Posizionata in mezzo a querceti e faggeti, accogliente, panoramica, con un curato giardino all'esterno, vi fara' vivere una vacanza di pace, silenzio e armonia nella meravigliosa campagna senese.

Il soggiorno è stato piacevole L'accoglienza della sig.ra Marina è stata calorosa. Piacevoli le chiacchierate con lei che è stata una perfetta padrona di casa. L'abitazione è in un luogo isolato tranquillo ed in mezzo alla natura... Perfetto per il nostro canino. 😀

2 weeks in the Tuscan hills
The house is a beautiful old Italian house with high ceilings with wooden beams and tiled floors. Everything in the house worked pedfectly- wifi, hot water, screens on the windows, kitchen and bath. The house is set in the midst of the Tuscan hills with hikes starting right from the front door. The grounds in the nature preserve are lovely with local plantings. The hostess, Marina, was welcoming, helpful, and altogether delightful. The gravel access road is steep and curvy in places. We were glad to have a manual transmission and went up it in first gear. It's a lovely escape in the country.

Une belle parenthèse à la campagne
Excellent séjour dans la maison de Marina qui est située dans un lieu isolé en haut d’une colinne à proximité du village de Murlo. C’est une location idéale pour ceux qui sont intéressés par l’authenticité d’un séjour à la campagne et apprécient le calme. Nous étions deux couples avec des enfants en bas âge et nous avons apprécié de pouvoir les laisser gambader sans crainte du passage de voitures. Le logement est bien équipé, spacieux, la literie est bonne. Par ailleurs, il y a plusieurs espaces extérieurs possibles pour manger ce qui est très appréciable. La piscine est également très bien; elle est à quelques dizaines de mètre de la maison principale ce que nous avons apprécié pour la sécurité des enfants. Un des points noirs est l’omniprésence des moustiques, ce qui n’est pas spécifique à cette maison mais habituel dans la région en plein mois d’Aout. Concernant l’emplacement, la maison est bien située pour rayonner entre le Val d’Orcia au sud et le Chanti au Nord. Enfin Marina, souvent présente, s’est avérée très aidante et nous avons partagé d’agréables moments avec elle.

Très beau domaine au cœur de la Toscane
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la maison de Marina, très bien rénovée et joliment aménagée. La maison est située dans un endroit calme et isolé, avec de très jolis extérieurs. Le chemin pour y accéder est escarpé et sinueux, et n’a pas été simple à prendre la première fois, mais on s’y habitue. La piscine, située à environ 100 m de la maison est équipée d’un pool-house et est très agréable, avec une vue imprenable. Marina est une hôte très sympathique et très à l’écoute. Elle nous a même préparé un très bon repas qu’elle a gentiment partagé avec nous. Nous garderons un très bon souvenir de nos vacances en Toscane.

Beautiful villa!
A beautiful, well-appointed, villa. The host, Marina, was wonderful; so friendly and helpful. The villa was spotlessly clean and in a very quiet area. Please note that there is only air conditioning in the (two) upstairs bedrooms and not in the two downstairs. All other facilities were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to thank Marina for her hospitality.

Beautiful country property

Picturesque and an unexpected gem
This was a perfect mid-trip vacation to our Rome/Florence/Venice adventure. The stone house is charming and located in a little compound with other buildings but only one full-time resident. Marina is the most gracious and helpful host. Very charming and attentive. The pool was wonderful and there are little kitties that visit you in the charming sitting areas around the property. We explored surrounding villages in our car, and even went to the beach at Grosseto one day. The beds were also very comfortable! Thank you for a great stay, Marina!

Absolutely perfect
Marina’s place is just what we were looking for. A quiet oasis tucked away on the edge of a nature preserve but a short drive from everything we wanted to visit (Siena, Montalcino, Chianti region, etc.) The place itself is spacious, spotlessly clean, and has everything you could need. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are picturesque, especially the view from the pool! Marina is a kind and generous host, communication and arrival were easy, and she checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend, we would love to return again!

Wonderful Retreat
We had a wonderful, wonderful experience at this beautiful villa. Marina was a delight from beginning to end and met our every need. The location is great to explore southern Tuscany and we even ventured to Pisa from here. Most memorable stay ever
Beautiful and dreamy Tuscan villa owned by an unforgettable lady who gave us a true Italian experience and made us feel part of her family. Very private location at the end of the road with views of the hilltop town of Montalcino in the distance. Our 13 year old daughter made memories with Marina that she will carry with her for the rest of her life. We hope to return soon. This was the best part of our entire Italian vacation.

Remote Yet Central
Marina is so kind! She met, greeted, guided, suggested, referred and even made a fire in the fireplace for us. I can't say enough regarding her hospitality. The location is just remote enough to provide (what I imagine) is a proper Tuscan Farmhouse Experience. It is just remote enough to give you the feeling of a truly unique experience while being central to many Tuscan attractions. The particular proximity to Montalcino and neighboring vineyards sealed it for us. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer!

Un havre de paix
On a passé une super semaine dans cette belle maison au coeur de la Toscane. Mention spéciale pour Marina, une super hôte avec qui nous avons partagé de très bon moment. La maison isolée dans un petit hameau au milieu des oliviers, est idéale pour une véritable déconnexion. Elle possède tous les équipements nécessaires pour vivre la dolce vita. Bref, on serait bien resté une semaine de plus. Merci encore à Marina.

The house is sitting on top of a hill surrounded by olive trees. Nothing but peace and quiet. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off in the warm afternoons Marina is the perfect hostess, so sweet and helpful. Relaxed vacation in a beautiful home
We spend with 8 people (among those 4 kids) around 1 1/2 weeks at this beautiful place. A really nicely reneovated house where you do not missed anything besides the sea - which one should of course expect in the middle of beautiful Tuscany ;-) But therefore we had a swimming pool with a stunning view and kids loved to relax and splash around. It was also a great place for some trips into the villages and cities around. The first time the way up to the house on the gravel road was a bit exiting, but one got used to. And as a benefit one gets real silence, besides the sounds of nature. Thanks to Marina for a real great vacation! Cheers Jörg and the rest of the gang :-)

Absolutely lovely host & home
My husband and sister/brother in law stayed here for a week in early June and had the loveliest time. The host gave us wonderful recommendations for day trips and restaurants and was even so kind to share fruits and olive oil from her beautiful property. One day I had an accident (requiring a few stitches at the local hospital) and she offered to come with us to help translate and even made a home cooked meal for us after a long day. This home was the perfect place to relax by the pool or stroll the property yet was in driving distance of lots of wineries and small towns to explore. We enjoyed the great sunset views and pool use. By far the best host we’ve ever had from any rental property! And a lovely property that we’d recommend to all!

Sehr schön und abgelegen
Die Unterkunft ist sehr sehr schön. Sie liegt zwar weit außerhalb aber dafür hat man eine sehr schöne Aussicht und himmlische Ruhe. Der Pool ist sehr schön gelegen, jedoch etwas von der Unterkunft entfernt. Marina ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin. Sie hat an einem Abend auch für uns gekocht - es war einfach himmlisch. Insgesamt ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub.

Perfekt zum relaxen
Das Haus liegt sehr abseits und ruhig. Hier kann man sehr gut abschalten und relaxen. Leider ist der nächste Supermarkt oder Bäcker ca. 20 min.entfernt. Das Untergeschoss hat eine gute Wohn/Küche, 2 Doppelbett Schlafzimmer und ein schönes Bad. Oben gibt es auch nochmal 2 Schlafzimmer mit einmal 3 Betten und 2 Betten. Das dortige Badezimmer ist leider sehr eng und nicht schön. Das Haus hat eine Waschraum außerhalb des Hauses und einen schönen Außenbereich. Der Pool ist ein Aufstellpool von ca. 7m, groß genug aber anders als auf den Fotos. Der Pool hat ein kleines Poolhaus, mit Bad und kl. Küche, was sehr gut ist, da der Pool ca. 200 m vom Haus entfernt liegt. Er ist auch nicht einsehbar vom Haus, mit kleinen Kindern also eher schwierig. Die Gastgeberin Marina ist sehr bemüht , damit sich alle wohl fühlen und stets zur Stelle bei Bedarf.

Liebevoll und stilvoll eingerichtetes Haus mit großzügigen Außenanlagen und Pool
Ein sehr schönes Gebäude, das landestypisch eingerichtet ist. Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer im EG ohne Klimaanlage, die sich aber dank der Lage im Haus tagsüber trotzdem nicht zu sehr aufheizen sowie zwei weitere Schlafzimmer im OG, die klimatisiert sind. Der Hauptraum für uns war der kombinierte Wohn-/Essbereich im EG. Die Küche hier ist klein, aber ausreichend. Die Kochstelle wird mit Gas betrieben. Hier sollte man etwas Zeit für das Erhitzen der Speisen mitbringen. Insgesamt ist dieser Bereich etwas dunkel, da es keine zentrale Lichtquelle/Lampe gibt. Wir haben die meiste Zeit eh draußen verbracht, von daher vielleicht eher ein Thema für die Wintermonate. Das Badezimmer im Erdgeschoss ist großzügig dimensioniert. Die zweite Küche sowie das Bad im OG haben wir nicht genutzt, da wir das Haus nur zu viert genutzt haben. Platz wäre für bis zu 8 Personen (4 SZ à 2 Personen). Die Außenanlagen sind sehr großzügig. Wir haben sie gar nicht vollständig genutzt. Der Hauptort für Frühstück und Abendessen war der rustikale Tisch samt Bank direkt vor dem Wohnraum. Dieser ist auch im Sommer stets etwas beschattet. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Die ein oder andere Mücke zu viel. Die Waschküche ist ebenfalls von außen zu erreichen. Vorsicht: Kopf einziehen! Der Pool liegt gut 100 Meter vor dem eigentlichen Gebäude. Man muss also das Haus verlassen und ein paar Schritte gehen. Das war etwas schade. Der Pool selbst ist sauber und gepflegt und man hat eine atemberaubende Aussicht. Um zum Haus zu gelangen, muss man einen etwas 1,5 km langen steilen und kurvigen Schotterweg fahren. Dies sollte man im 1. Gang tun, die Kurven möglichst weit außen anfahren und immer gleichmäßig (!) Gas geben. Zu erwähnen ist noch, dass der hintere Teil des Hauses in leichter Hanglage steht, so dass es hier eine Art Untergeschoss gibt, dass die Vermieterin als Werkstatt nutzt. Des weiteren gibt es ein Nebengebäude, dass ebenfalls von der Vermieterin als Küche und Wohnraum genutzt wird. Ein Wort zur Vermieterin: Eine sehr angenehme, fürsorgliche Person, die jeden Tag vor Ort war und sich um alles gekümmert hat - Blumen, Garten, Klimaanlage. Was halt gerade anfiel. Sie spricht italienisch und ein paar Brocken englisch, aber wir sind sehr gut zurechtgekommen. Obwohl sie jeden Tag vor Ort war, war sie völlig unaufdringlich und hat uns sogar einmal bekocht und unserer vegan lebenden Tochter zweimal in eigenem Olivenöl eingelegte Zucchini bzw. Aubergine aus dem eigenen Garten mitgebracht.

Wir haben die Woche bei Marina sehr genossen! Wer seine Ruhe möchte und Kraft für den Alltag auftanken will ist hier genau richtig! Das Haus ist wunderschön und die Natur dort oben einmalig! Wir waren 2 Familien mit Hund. Alter der Kinder(10,12,16,17). Siena ist eine schöne Stadt, und einen Besuch Wert, ebenso das Etruskische Museum in Murlo mit der gemütlichen Trattoria" il Libridinoso ". Vielen Dank Marina für die tolle Gastfreundschaft! Die letzten km sind nicht ganz einfach zu fahren aber gut im 1.Gang möglich:) Es ist ein besonderer Ort zum Ruhe und Kraft tanken und gerade in der heutigen stressigen Zeit ein besonderer Platz!

Wunderbare und erholsame Tage in sehr ruhiger Lage
Die Anlage ist sehr schön gepflegt und liegt etwas abgelegen vom nächsten Dorf in einer von Olivenbäumen und Wald umgebenen Lage. Die Ruhe und Stille am Pool ist fantastisch zum Entspannen und die Anlage bietet genug Platz für mehrere Personen. Die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit (Monteroni d'Arbia) ist 15-20 min mit dem Auto entfernt und das letzte Stück der Zufahrt erfolgt über eine etwas steile Schotterstraße. Marina ist eine sehr gute Gastgeberin und hat für uns fantastisch gut gekocht! Nicht nur ihr selbst erzeugtes Olivenöl, auch der Biowein der Umgebung schmeckt sehr gut! Alles in allem sind wir sehr gut erholt von unserem Urlaub zurückgekommen!

Charming house, charming host
Marina est une hôte formidable, attentionnée. Elle nous a gâtés ! La maison est isolée, ce qui lui confère un vrai charme. Mais elle est suffisamment proche de Monteroni d'Arbia (20min) en voiture pour aller faire les courses à la Coop. La piscine, avec vue sur la campagne toscane est un bonheur. On recommande Merci Marina !

We had a wonderful stay here - 10 of us for four nights. Equipped kitchen, lovely pool, great views - a few rooms have AC which was great. Two outdoor seating options, both fantastic. Marina is incredibly kind and welcoming and will help with anything. We look forward to staying again!

Ursprünglichste Toskana
wir hatten wunderbare Tage in Murlo. Marina ist eine sehr gewissenhafte und großartige Gastgeberin, die das Haus tadellos in Schuss hält und uns sogar mit ihren Kochkünsten verwöhnt hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

5/5 tout était merveilleux : le site, l'accueil, la maison, ,la piscine.
je recommande chaleureusement ce gîte : un havre de paix. Quand vous rentrez fatigués des visites de Florence, Sienne, Arrezo etc...et que vous retrouvez le silence, la fraicheur ( grâce à la piscine) et Marina qui est là avec ses tomates, ses confitures, ses glaces, c'est le paradis! Avis unanime : de 83 ans à 17 ans. A savoir: c'est un chemin de terre de 2km. pour arriver au gîte mais cela ne nous a pas gênés.

Ruhig gelegenes wunderschönes Anwesen und sehr herzliche Vermieterin
Wir waren 3 Familien mit Kleinkindern. Marina, die Vermieterin, hat sich sehr bemüht, alle benötigten Utensilien wie Babybett und Kinderstühle zur Verfügung zu stellen. Sie hat sogar an 2 Abenden für uns gekocht -> italienische Küche ist einfach die Beste! Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr idyllisch und die Gartenanlage ist liebevoll angelegt. Der Zufahrtsweg ist teilweise steil und unbefestigt, aber mit einem gewöhnlichen Pkw machbar. Im Haus ist alles sehr sauber und die Küche im Erdgeschoss gut ausgestattet. In den Zimmern im Obergeschoss gibt es Klimaanlagen, diese sind in der Beschreibung nicht mit angegeben. Oben gibt es ein Bad, sowie im Erdgeschoss. Einzigste Bemängelung: Manche Türen müsste mal wieder eingestellt werden, damit sie beim Öffnen und Schließen nicht auf dem Boden schleifen. Wir waren rundum sehr zufrieden und würden gern wiederkommen (allerdings nicht mehr im Hochsommer mit 40 °C :-))
