“This lodge is such a beautiful property located by a tranquil lake. The owner has preserved a lot of the buildings original history, despite all of the modern renovations. The owner is extremely friendly and personable, and clearly takes pride in the property. “Our family of 4 stayed at this house for a short getaway to ride the trails around Newberry. The location has easy access to the trails by sled, as well as a gas station. Being in town, restaurants and grocery stores are nearby and available. The way the driveway is situated makes it easy to pull your trailer in for loading and unloading your equipment. “We had a wonderful stay over Labor Day weekend and this was a perfect location to stay. Enjoyed the peddle boat and outdoor picnic tables. Beautiful sunrise in the morning. Close enough to hit the waterfalls too. Very friendly owners and great local pizza at Trout Lake tavern.”

The attic bedrooms were very hot but we made do with the multiple fans provided. The house had a "rustic/cabin" atmosphere. NOTE: The toilet in the front bathroom leaks leaving a wet floor.”

“We took our Grand Kids to see some of my wife's heritage and snow. It didn't snow late December. The dogsledding adventure turned into dogs pulling an atv. It was still fun. We substituted tubing to see the nearby parks with waterfalls and a pully barge over a springs. Ice skating in the Sault Ste.Marie was a Great time. The Movie Theater was very Nostalgic. The Village of Newberry is a very Nice place.”
