“Hotel is in a remote area, weather is relatively cold, but the room didn’t offer the cover clothes in the room. You need to ask the staff in front desk for cover clothes for keeping warm. Bath tube in my room is very dangerous! The temperature safety lock is fail. I’m almost getting burn by the hot water. ”

“Nikko è uno dei posti più turistici del Giappone, e i locali, pur nella loro infinita cortesia, vi spremeranno il più possibile. È la prima volta in vita mia (e io viaggio davvero molto) che mi è stato chiesto di pagare (500 yen, circa 4 euro al cambio di oggi) per lasciare i bagagli nell'albergo dove ho soggiornato (e non a poco prezzo). “Erstmal, das Zimmer war super und auch sauber. Hatten das Zimmer mit eigenem Onsenzuber. Personal war freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Buffet morgens und abends auch reichhaltig. Alles gut. Aber das Resort war schon sehr heruntergekommen. Flecken auf Teppichen im Flur, Tapeten müssten auch mal neu, das kann schon abschreckend wirken. Züge in der Station in der Nähe fahren ca stündlich Richtung Nikko mit 2 mal umsteigen und kurzen Umsteigezeiten. Tolle Wandermöglichkeiten an der Ryuokyo Gorge in...

“It was a fantastic experience to be able to stay in a traditional home for a few nights. Yoshiko made our stay so comfortable and provided advice on sightseeing, rides to and from the station, gave us snacks and breakfast food and did our laundry. What a treasure. We hope to go back!”
