“My family and I enjoyed our vacation stay at Colonial Shores. Owner upgraded our room at no additional charge and without me even asking. Would have given 5 stars, but bathroom fan did not work and fold out couch mattress was stained. Asked Manager not to fix during our stay. As nice as they were, I am sure they were not aware of the problem and have since fixed both problems. Will stay here again and would recommend to friends.”

“Clean rooms, great location to walk to the beach. The only small thing was the room did not had soap or a closet with an iron and iron table. Those things are considered minor to be because I had brought my own personal hygiene items. But as people younger they usually go on the fly and don’t have those few things ”

“It was awful! The pillows were flat! The online description was NOTHING like the actual appearance of the hotel and they did not understand me when I told them a nonsmokers room in person AND in the reservation that I did 2 weeks prior to staying! And room service came around ONCE!And then another maintenance man i guess you would call him just walked into out room WITHOUT a knock on the door first! Will NOT be staying there again!”

“The home was very roomy and close to lots of activities. The pool was clean but cold which was expected for early April. We wish there had been some lounge chairs by the pool for sunning. The hosts provide lots of towels and linens to use which were very clean. There were a few areas which could have been a bit cleaner such as some sticky spots on walls and cupboards. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.”

“We had 4 generations (ages 1- 68) stay at the house. 16 people in total. We had the best time. The location is perfect. Being right on the beach with 6 kids under 8 was perfect. The photos don't do the home justice. We felt it was even more beautiful in person. There was room for everyone to be together and plenty of room for everyone when you wanted a little quiet time. The pool was heated perfectly. Everyone loved swimming, even after the sun went down. We're already planning next years stay.”
