Staff is amazing, superfriendly. The property is an old colonial-era building right in the middle of Old Town Pucket. The cafe downstairs is a nice place to hang out and serves great food – even if they overcharge the hell out of what you eat (breakfast is not included with your stay)
Unfortunately the cafe is where the airconditioning stops, the hostel’s common area is most of the day not a great hangout simply because it’s too hot, and when you walk out of your room you get hit in the face by the heat that lingers in the upstairs hallways.
The private room I was in had a bed without springs and a hard matress. After 2 nights I was glad to leave because my back was acting up.
The staff really makes up a lot for the above, but the private rooms are definitely not worth their rate.
