Die Unterkunft liegt verkehrstechnisch sehr gut erreichbar am Tamiami-Trail (was allerdings auch bedeutet, dass der Verkehr durchaus hörbar ist). Die Einrichtung unseres Zimmers war komplett neu (sehr erfreulich was insbesondere der große Kühlschrank mit extra Eisfach) und alle Zimmer werden derzeit laut Eigentümer remodelt (wahrscheinlich wegen dem Hurrikan, der das Motel leider vor zwei Jahren erwischt hat). Der Eigentümer war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

Quiet other than an alarm going off in an joining room that took the guest 5 minutes to turn off. The lady at check in was very helpful. The room was clean.

This is a very old motel. The room was clean, but it smelled of cleaning products and i think a musty smell in the bathroom. If it had been cheaper, i would have expected this, but we paid $200 to stay at this hotel, with absolutely no amenities, i mean not even a lobby to walk into. The person slid open a window, and we passed in our info. Would not stay again

Overpriced and unsafe
This was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I felt unsafe. When we checked in, the attendant lifted a board and set the key out. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The sheets were nubby and cheap. I couldn't wait to get out of there. It was way overpriced for what we got.

The bed was comfortable and the room was adequate for a quick overnight stay, especially considering the price point. The only real negative is close proximity to US 41. Trucks rumbling by at 5:30 AM woke me up. Fortunately, I needed to be up early anyway and the double-paned windows helped mute the sound a bit.

The stay was what we needed. We were not familiar with the area and it was close enough to the airport for an early flight. After 8am it was loud but that was because of the highway being close. We would stay again.

As a travel agent I called the hotel a few weeks in advance to see if their hotel was damaged by the last hurricane. The front desk worker said it was fine. When my guest arrived there was construction and part of the roof was gone. My guests did not feel safe staying there. My guests then were sent to another hotel. At least the manager was willing to cancel the hotel without fees.

Inn suffering from hurricane damage from last year. Property 100 feet from major road with high traffic, with lots of noise. Tiled floors were new but there was nothing to buffer noise from room next door either. Will not return for future trips.

Clean, quiet, comfortable, no frills hotel
I was looking for an inexpensive option in the area and this fit the bill. Check in was fast and easy. Mike was very nice. Most of this hotel/motel is very damaged and not functioning but there are a few room to the right of the office that are up and running. My room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but good A/C and a comfortable bed and quiet place to rest. My gps got me there but know that the hotel sign is gone due to the hurricane.

We checked in the staff was super helpful and responsive one of the best little places we stayed in a long time went above and beyond, we actually rode a motorcycle’s there. He pulled out his van. I’m gonna park our bikes under the overhang to keep them protected from all the weather.

Friendly staff and convenient location. The neighboring property behind the hotel is a bit of an eyesore. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. Everything worked and was in good condition.

Good value for clean, not fancy overnight
Ian affected this hotel but they've bounced back and work hard to please guests. Room I stayed in was new it appeared. It was the only room I saw. Food places and a large grocery store are 1/4 mile away for convenience.

Balance location, cleanliness, safety and cost
My wife and I needed a place to crash for the night before the Earth Day event at the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center CHEC, this hotel was a perfect balance of location, cleanliness, safety and price. We stayed in room 104, recently redecorated, very clean, good shower and nice enough bed. Coffee maker in the room, basic toiletries and clean towels provided as expected. We would stay again.

Coming back!
This no frills motel is working to come back after the hurricane last fall. The room was basic, but very clean! I normally don’t go barefoot in a hotel but the tile floors were spotless and dirt free. The owners were onsite and very responsive and pleasant. I would stay there again and look forward to seeing them bounce back along with all of Punta Gorda.

We loved our room! The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in, even in a raging hurricane! Staff is very caring and nice. Decor is beautiful. Beautiful grounds. Clean and my room came with a bathtub! A true refuge in the storm.

The hotel was demolished- there was no hotel — we were unable to stay there. There was no check in, no person there and no roof on the building. I want my money back.
