Not like many other properties in the area,Peppers Beacon has the unique position to view the lake in front of it! Staff in front desk were very helpful. They are not only professional but also polite and patient! We were very happy when we stayed in Peppers!

We loved the location and views. The size of the apartment was good. The furniture was outdated. The carpet in the lounge was stained. There was no aircon in the main room or second bedroom. The single beds were very narrow for adult children. Parking was not included in booking but available for a fee. There was no housekeeping unless requested. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The property is very run down. It is not worth it it charges for the accommodation. We booked two rooms for our family for 3 nights and paid over $2000. When we checked in, we got booking of one room in the front building and another room in the rear building and this room was at the worst possible location. This is terrible.

This was one of those rare times when we found the room to be better than the pictures on the internet. The room we had was spacious with exceptional views of the lake through the large windows and sliding doors. The room made our Queenstown experience that bit more special.

部屋のクリーニングお願いしたかったがフロントに電話がつながらず、連泊している間使用したタオルや食器が溜まっていく一方だった。 駐車場内を通って部屋に行く動線でありバックヤード感が強く、手動ドアが何枚もある点で家族連れにはつらい。スタッフもゲストの前でタバコを吸ったり足で雑巾掛けをしたりと、ホスピタリティを欠く印象。 歯ブラシも寝巻きもなくホテルとは言えない。食洗機も使えなかった。

Really nice, big room and super comfortable bed. However room was let down by there being a connecting door to the next room which meant I could hear every single conversation and noise from the other room with perfect clarity - very annoying. The curtains did not keep all the light out either and there was no temperature control. TVs could do with being modernised. Good bathroom but shower did not drain properly and flooded bathroom floor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast spread. After many weeks travelling appreciates the free laundry service. Great location on the lakefront with beautiful view.

Staying at Pepper's Beacon was really lovely! The property and views were very beautiful. The staff were all polite, communicable, informative and approachable. Despite the minor inconvenience that the hotel was going through current construction, meaning that floors 6-10 were accessible through a car park (take one lift up, walk across the car park, take another lift up), this did not deter the accessibility. The only downside is that Queenstown currently has a drinking water ban, and the hotel was unable to provide drinking water to any of the guests. The only advice they had was to purchase water at nearby grocers or boil the tap water we had in our rooms.

The staff led by Lana were extremely helpful especially as I was incapacitated during our visit due to an injury. They were attentive to our needs. Well appointed property but desperate for a spring clean. Grubby net curtains and dirty cutlery and plates are disappointing. Staff were very friendly. It is time that someone rolled up their sleeves and some old fashioned elbow grease cleaning and paint touch ups. Will stay again but keep on top of your maintenance.

The only good thing about staying here was the easy walk into town. The unit was run down, building maintenance going one, faulty lifts, things in the unit didn't work (dishwasher, cupboards broken etc.), the unit was filthy and house cleaning was intermittent and when they did come, they made the bed and that was about it. If you had no other choice, stay here, but avoid if possible.

Unfortunately this property is not luxury. They are converting apartments into hotel rooms - torn up carpets, poorly designed bathrooms with a shower curtain for wheelchair accessibility vs a shower door in some bathrooms, keys were deactivated daily, no daily housekeeping or removal of garbage - only upon request. The location was great and the beds were comfy and laundry is free. Staff tried their best to accommodate us despite many complaints.

Parking is issue,for older, higher utes. For age of place, lifts are rattling, interior of halls/rooms are not nicely finished, or damage is not reapaired to a high standard. Walls are thin, can hear people in hallways easily. Our bathroom wasnt cleaned to a standard, still a curly hair in shower. Good points, small walk to main eatry and drinks. And the person who checked us in was awesome.

Fantastic view and great kitchen facilities. The showers were terrible. Once the temperature was adjusted to suit it kept changing from cold to burning. The second bedroom needs an air conditioner as very airless.

Beautiful 2 bed apartment with sweeping views of the Lake and Queenstown at a reasonable price.

Close and to town without the noise
The hotel accommodation was comfortable and clean. We had a room with a view of the lake and even being on the main road, the traffic noise wasn't an issue. The walk to town was short, flat and easy. The reception staff might need to have more training on the friendliness necessities. No welcome or even a smile. Weird! Otherwise, a wonderful stay and would book again.

Amazing view over lake & spacious apartment
Brilliant views from our 2 bedroom Lakeview room. So spacious and comfortable. BBQs in the courtyard an added bonus as well as full kitchen in the room

Property has no air conditioning and very hard to sleep as it’s quite hot this time of the year and no rain shower heads as mentioned when booking. Overall not happy and will not be staying there again

The room we booked had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. But our check-in was delayed for a long time when they knew we arrived early and we had to wait at the reception after 2pm and at the room nearly 3pm while the staff were cleaning.
