For the price I paid, OH WOW WAS THIS NICE!!! The staff was absolutely amazing and so accommodating. The place itself is just amazing! I understand what people were saying by “rundown”, but I would only say that applies to the hallways, which really shouldn’t matter. Other than that, everything else was so clean, up to date, and just perfect! The all inclusive included food, drinks, activities, and so much more! Just so perfect and will DEFINITELY be back!!!

Nice beautiful resort.Very couplish,mature/retiree type crowd.Too large to only have limited activites,restaurants,bars and pools.Not near any airports,shopping off premises.Very very few staff members spoke or understood english.Food options could've been better.For people with FOOD ALLERGIES BE CAREFUL they don't cater to your allergies(I don't think they comprehend them).Would I go again NO

Food quality was terrible. Drinks were awful as well. They didn’t even make the bed right. It was dirty in the sheets. Pieces of the room were broken. The resort area was nice and clean but the beach was dirty and not clear either like pictures showed

Property is in need of repairs and renovation. Rooms were very outdated. Staff seemed overwhelmed at times but were friendly.

There should be better maintenance and service for an all inclusive resort. Pool tiles were broken/ dirty and desperate need of cleaning and repairs Not enough staff to accommodate the guests! Pool bars sometimes had 1 person manning the bar w 20-30 guests waiting for service. Restaurants were fully booked before arriving so reservations for specialty restaurants were impossible to get. AC in room didn’t work the entire time. Maintenance would come and fix everyday and would cool off for a few minutes then hot again. Room butler was great but housekeeping only once per day. And beach was infiltrated by nearby river so dark and muddy

Staff were really great. Nothing too much trouble. Very clean. Loved the quiet pool option. Beach is great but the sea isn’t. Not the fault of the hotel. Clarity of the sea changes daily.

I loved my stay here. I traveled solo and enjoyed every single minute. The service was excellent, the food was *chefs kiss*, the staff was supportive and always prepared to help. The rooms were gorgeous and well-kept. Absolutely no regrets and would highly recommend anyone to stay :).

It was the cleanliness they cleaned constantly. And pressure washed everything outside everyday. They cleaned beach lounge chairs everyday. They also pressure washed all pool surfaces every nite. The five restaurants that you had to make reservations at were wonderful. The buffet for breakfest, lunch and, dinner had a great selection. The staff did not let you do a thing, they were frindly polite with a smile on there faces all the time. I do not have a bad thing to say at all. Thank you so much.

Staff we encountered were great. Everything was very clean and food was great. The only negative was the transportation we had. Using the Coming2 company that was at the property for tours and transport to the airport was horrible. Unorganized and had issues with most of the interactions.

Appreciated the adult only stay. Staff very friendly. We were greeted with a delicious blue welcome drink and cool towel after traveling. I recommend speaking to Santo Polanco for all your needs Ex. Dinner reservations, Taxi, Excursions. I appreciated that they did not mention purchasing a timeshare or vacation package. Beach was clean. Not blue water though. The opportunities for the hotel were: Food- I went expecting Dominican flavored food. Food was European based. There was no real night entertainment. Go with friends or family members for entertainment. They need a daily itinerary if there were activities for the day. They needed more foam for the pool party.

The ocean had sewage and human waste water dumping into it, and my wife is now fighting a bacterial/parasitic infection. She and many other guests were stung by Jellyfish, and there were Tiger Sharks in the bay which they described as " marine life" and to be careful in the water, never disclosing the filth in the ocean or the hotel ice and water. I'm still considering a lawsuit!!😤😤

It was unexpected, a let down would not go if you are in your young adult years. Great for super old people though, food could have been better left the place after the first night.

My wife and I spent our 22nd year anniversary here. We had a magnificent time here. from the garden, amenities, level of service and to the staff who goes above and beyond to provide you with pure enjoyment and awesome experience. I will give them higher than five star rating if possible. The only negative aspect of our stay has nothing to do with staff or the facility. Instead, it was a handful of guests that smokes. If you are reading this review and decides to stay at this resort, by all means do so. As a matter of fact I encourage you to stay at this resort and you will definitely have a great time. However, if you smoke please be mindful of others that don’t smoke and respect their space, just a common courtesy I suppose. For the management and staff of Bahia Principe Bounganville, Thank you so much for great memories and wonderful experiences. And for future patrons, enjoy your stay and bring small $ change to show appreciation to the staff.

This place is absolutely Luxury. I spent 5 days and wish I could spend more days. The staff is wonderful, plus the night entertainment was great. I will be going back soon. The only downfall is the beach, not so good. But the pool made up for it with the bar at the pool, and great entertainment and the daily classes - in the water.

More staff English speaking, more tequila reposado which was all of time out. Beside these it is really great place to stay

Literally no hot water to shower and the bed sucks to hard. Room was not ready at check-in had to wait an extra for the room. Far as food it was hit&miss
