This is a small hotel located in the most convenient location to both exploring, the beach is just a mere block away and dining is super close. Great people to work with.

Very disappointing 3 night stay! I read many review stating this was a wonderful hotel. For the price of the room, the hotel was ruin down and tired looking. The beds were extremely hard and old. The room came with a small fridge and sufficient dish wear. The A/C worked. The breakfast was mediocre. The pool was very murky and the swim up bar unusable. Nice central location but not worth the price. We stayed in many other hotels in Costa Rica for the same price and they were way better.

This is a no-frills but nice little hotel right in the middle of Coco just a short walk from the beach, restaurants and bars. We had a great time here. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved how each unit has its own terrace with comfortable seating, a hammock, and steps to the pool. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great place to go if you’re on a budget! Very short walk to the beach, lots of restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops. The pool was nice and clean - but note there is not a bartender at the swim-up bar, more just for seating. The rooms were clean, but no daily housekeeping and you wash your own dishes from breakfast. The reason I took away one star is because it would smell like sewer about 1/3 of the time we were at the hotel. I would stay here again, it’s worth the price!

What a wonderful 4 night stay at this hotel. Great location close to the beach, restaurants and souvenirs. They arranged our transportations to airport. Delicious breakfast included. Pool was great! 10/10 recommend!

I was a little unsure what to expect after reading some reviews but we were delighted with this property. Kelly and the staff were very welcoming and made us feel immediately at home! Our room was to our liking with a kitchenette, functional and adequate air conditioning and a double bed that was firm but comfortable. The continental breakfast in the morning was great with fresh fruit, rice / beans and spiced scrambled eggs. We also appreciated free bottled water available for filling our water bottles. The location was perfect for us right in downtown. Easily walkable to the beach and local pubs and restaurants. We spent the week diving and it was a quick 5 min walk in the morning from the hotel to Rich Coast Diving - ideal!! We did experience a little noise in the evening from the pool / local pubs playing music but it didn’t negatively impact our sleep. Overall we were very happy with our stay and felt like it provided a great space for good value.

This was a great find. Great location. Great staff. Great building. very clean. very safe. The pool made us sick and the bed mattress was not good in any way. Our back hurt from it. At night there was very loud music, but we loved the atmosphere. Again, would stay here again if those two things were fixed. Thank you!

Very relaxing and safe place go stay.
I just came back from a 10 day trip to Costa Rica. We spent the last three days of our trip at this hotel and it was just what we needed A very friendly and comfortable place to feel like you can relax and enjoy the cute little town and beach. There was a couple people that stay there I believe a couple of months at a time and I could see how I could easily do that as well if I didn’t have to come back to my job. There is just a 45 minute walk to the beach and restaurants were just around the corner. I felt safe walking in the evening to go grab some dinner with my son. The pool was amazing and just outside your door. The facility was so quaint with the lights on in the evening. A very beautiful setting. highly recommend.

Excellent breakfasts, friendly staff, kitchen reasonably equipped, good wifi. Updating needed - mattress in Master bedroom needs replacing; A/C unit in Master bedroom difficult to manage; sink stoppers missing; deck cushions need replacing. Overall, a good hotel for short stay, close to the beach & shopping

The property was close to the beach which was nice and the staff we dealt with very very friendly. However the noise from a nearby bar played very loud music until 2:30AM making it impossible to sleep so although we paid for 4 nights upfront we had to check out 2 days early with no refund and move to a quieter location. The loud music 7 nights a week should have been mentioned when we booked. I would not recommend to anyone unless they like to party to 2:30 AM and sleep in late in the morning.

We booked for 3 days and ended extending for a total of 8 days. The owner, Amber is an expat from the US and is very friendly. She knows the area and helped make our vacation amazing. Her office staff, Gabriel and Maria Jose are bilingual and friendly as well. The hotel is an older one. The pictures online are accurate. Amber purchased the hotel a year ago and has been working on updates. The rooms are located around a central pool. The location is near everything you probably came to Playa del Cocos for- a block from the beach and a block from the main road with multiple restaurants, nightlife, and shopping choices. There was some music noise on Friday and Saturday night but honestly we didn't hear it over the AC in our room. There is a gate and friendly night time security guard. Free daily breakfast was typical Tico beans and rice, fresh fruit, pastries, fresh juice and coffee. One minor negative, and this was true for other hotels and apparently for Costa Rica in general, is that the beds have the softness of a good quality cardboard. Amber did work with us to find the best mattress she had available for our stay. We initially picked our hotel based on location and price but Amber and the service is what made us want to stay longer.

We work every day to make the hotel even more enjoyable, on the list is mattress toppers. Ticos (Costa Rican people) like them the way they are but most expats prefer something softer. We are buying mattress toppers so that people who prefer a softer mattress can quickly and easily get one. Pura Vida!

This little beach hotel is 30 min from the airport. The walk to the beach took 2 minutes. The receptionist spoke excellent English. The pool was clean and lovely. I did not use the swimup bar but it looked inviting. The room was very clean but simple. I appreciated the mini kitchen with refrigerator, hot plate, and microwave. The AC worked great. The bed was a typical Tico super-firm matress. I was shocked at the fact that I could not hear and of the loud restaurants that were only one block away. Really I could just hear frogs and crickets. It was peaceful sitting outside our room. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was great with good AC. Had a kitchenette with all the basics. Shower was not great, tried everything to get hot water to work and the shower head was more like a garden hose. But enjoyed the stay overall.

We stayed here for a week and it was excellent. We were here in the middle of the hot season, which meant we couldn't to do much during the middle of the day but the AC in the hotel was excellent and having the pool right there made the heat seem like no issue at all. I would highly recommend staying here for a short or long stay.

Amazing place to stay!
The girls at the front desk could not do more for you. Probably the most helpful place I have been to as they went completely above and beyond to assist me with whatever I needed. They were always happy to have a chat but never intruding and the facilities such as the pool was great. They had parking out the front and the decor was cool.

This property was perfect for my stay. It is not The Hilton! Everything worked fine, WI_FI,hot water, fridge, stove, A/C. I had a nice porch for sitting and reading and meals.. It is a two minute walk to the beach. I was there to go diving and the boat pick up is there at the two minute walk. This allowed me to have breakfast and coffee and then just walk to the boat. Everyone else had to go to the dive shop. If I go back to Playas del Coco, I will ask for my same room.

Cerca de la playa y a precio cómodo.
La habitación era amplia, con balcón amplio y contaba con todos los los servicios ofrecidos en la aplicación, quedaba cerca de la playa y la zona comercial de la zona, la piscina es amplia y profunda y se puede nadar cómodamente Pero: El televisor no tenía control, por lo que había que usarlo de forma manual. El desagüe de la ducha estaba tapado por lo que había que bañarse sumamente rápido para evitar que se desbordara la ducha y mojara el baño entero. No había servicio de limpieza diario.

It was fine. Rustic, small room but clean. Short walk to the beach. Best things about it: Located close to the beach Parking lot onsite Nice pool Air-conditioner good Bed was comfortable Nice little patio area with table and chairs What we didn’t like: There was no usable desk. The only desk had a television on top of it … so the desk wasn’t usable as a workspace. We didn’t watch television but we would like a desk. Sometimes we worked outside on the patio but often too hot and also mosquitoes. Overall it was fine.
