“Really nice place and lovely hosts. Clean and quiet, away from the bustle. of the city but close enough to easily access Edinburgh as well as walking distance to the village of East Calder with restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was lovely and offered a nice variety. Try the Haggis, it's delicious. ”

“Great family run place with nice rooms and a covenient location. This place is great if you're renting a car or not. It's right by the train station that goes to either Glasgow or Edinburgh, but in a small-town area so that if you have a rental car, it's easy to manage. Lots of sights to see nearby. Great Scottish breakfast on request! Nicola is an excellent cook.”

“Comfortable, convenient, friendly and efficient.Superb value for money. The added facility of coffee and tea making facilities and home baking was a very welcome touch. The room was clean and comfortable, but unfussy. The breakfast choice was excellent, with the added treat of fresh home baked bread. The breakfast room was somewhat utilitarian and could have been improved by some wel chosen pictures on the walls and possibly a carpet or rug under the tables, but otherwise perfectly adequate....

“They property was very clean and very well equipped . it is It is on the small side but has everything needed for short stay. The shower is lovely and everywhere was very clean. The biggest benefit is being so close to the river and the beautiful walks around the river. The town had lots of good restaurants and lovely shops.”
