bellissimo resort in un'oasi naturale stupenda
siamo stati due notti al Cinnamon Wild per poter fare il safari nel parco; l'arrivo di sera è emozionante, l'hotel è quasi nascosto nel verde; il livello dell'hotel e dei servizi è buono, ma il top è nella posizione, nnella terrazza del bar stupenda, nella laguna a bordo piscina con i coccodrilli a pochi metri, negli animali che scorrazzano per i violetti...tanto che di sera si viene sempre scortati alla camera. Merita una tappa

An experience like no other staying at this location. A spa like elevated beach chalet with wild sights and sounds from every direction. We woke up to a wild bore digging in the sand and enjoyed an evening cocktail at the lounge as an elephant walking through the resort. In between a couple crocs lazing about. I’d highly recommend the nature hike as it opened our eyes to many things we were simply walking past. The food was varied and delicious.

Well kept chalets nicely designed. Attentive staff, but check-in was slow. Road to the property could be improved for those arriving by small cars.

Bra ställe för 1-3 nätter och safari
Trevliga stugor i en skogsdunge där några har utsikt mot havet. Härlig pool med utsikt över vattenhål med vattenbufflar och krokodiler. Maten var bra och trevligt bemötande med personal som pratar bra enelska. Bra för en kortare vistelse och safari, men att stanna en hel vecka blir nog lite långtråkigt. Man får inte röra sig hur man vill utanför hotellområdet då det finns vilda elefanter och andra farliga djur (hotellet ligger nationalparken). Det finns inte heller något gym, så den som gillar promenader och löpning har det lite småkrångligt. Jag valde att springa barfota på den lite svårtillgängliga stranden. Närheten till Yala national park är toppen!

Really amazing luxurious stay so close to nature and the national parks. I loved the friendly guide who took us on a walk to the lake to point out different birds and animals at sunset. It is very special when you see wild boar and crocodiles, literally a few metres from where you are enjoying dinner. Thank you!

Best breakfast ever
Very clean room. Nice room and very friendly and professional staff. Good size swimming pool. Wild animals at the premises. Very good location for a safari in Yala. Safari was a nice experience even though it was not booked through the hotel. The breakfast was the best breakfast ever. The food overall was very good. We used the á la carte menu which was great.

Cinnamon Wild is a beautiful hotel, by far the most luxurious place we stayed in Sri Lanka. The wildlife in the immediate area is incredible and the hotel itself is stunning. My only suggestion would be to add some children's menu options to the pool bar menu, we were travelling with young children and options outside of the buffet were very limited

Stayed one night and went on a safari-fantastic location, wildlife everywhere around and in the hotel which was great to see. Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Natur am Wasserloch. Jeden Tag entdeckt man sehr viele Tiere, was einfach toll ist. Unser Chalet war sehr sauber und wirklich sehr schön. Der Pool ist sehr schön und man wird immer schnell mit Handtüchern versorgt, sehr guter Service. Das Frühstück war gut, aber für ein 5 Sterne Haus nichts besonderes, da ist das Cinnamon Lodge in Habarana besser. Was wir auch sehr enttäuschend fanden war der Check Inn. Wir hatten eine lange Anreise und hätten uns über ein Begrüßungsgetränk gefreut, leider wurde uns nichts angeboten. Auch gab es keinen Obstkorb zur Begrüßung, im 5 Sterne Haus kann man das erwarten. Den haben wir im Cinnamon Lodge in Habarana bekommen. Unser Gesamteindruck: war ganz schön, aber keine 5 Sterne wert, Preis/Leistung stimmt nicht, da haben wir schon bessere nur 4 Sterne Hotels in Sri Lanka erlebt

Don’t go Yala Nationalpark!!!! If you like to see animals you try another Nationalpark or go to Africa. If you are lucky and see a Leopard you will be with minimum 60 cars in line. Absolutely terrible. We saw only 5 elephants. Also with many cars . If you book a day trip you have to wait 2 hours at the beach . There is nothing, only toilet. We had a very good driver, but t most on the driver are very young and definitely too fast and do not accept the nature. Unfortunately our experience was so bad. The lodge is quite nice but the management just think about Money. They sell small glas wine from 3 liter bottle for nearly 10,- € by the glas. And Quality is terrible.

Not bad, well located, pricey
This is an excellent location for safaris at Yala. The facility is fine, but not luxurious. The bungalows are very nice and very comfortable. The grounds are OK - but not a place I'd want to spend many days in. The driveway into the hotel is not adequately maintained - our driver, who was excellent, would not bring the van down. The food was good, but not great. We felt that the extras - drinks, non-inclusive meals, etc, that you have to pay for, were overpriced for the Sri Lankan economy and comparable hotels, and it felt like they were taking advantage of the fact that you were stuck there. The staff was rather inflexible and not as accommodating as we've typically found in Sri Lanka

The road leading to the property is difficult for a vehicle which is not a three wheel drive. We went there with our driver and his pillow was full of bedbugs. The hotel could not guarantee a room without bedbugs and another guest's driver had the same problem. Our drivers left to find rooms elsewhere. Had to wait 20 minutes for a shuttle to the main gate the next morning. My mother found an insect in her bed and their room (146) had smells coming from outside. Way to rooms not well lit and there were no torches. Safari's were expensive. Lovely beach which was not signposted. Good breakfast box for the game drive. No fences and we were told not to walk at night on our own. That was difficult as all rooms were laid out chalet style in the grounds. The management needs to improve and attention should be paid to cleanliness.

Great room, location and service
Beautiful location- sea on one side and a lake on the other. Lot of wildlife too. The Jungle Chalets were simply great. Food was great and plenty of choice. Impeccably trained staff. Loved the stay and it was hard to leave.

Excellent Hotel
Amazing, absolutely amazing. The staff were incredible, the hotel was gorgeous, our room was perfect and we wished we had stayed longer!

Animals walking around the property. Although the Safari was too many jeeps communicating between themselves for sighting of animals created traffic jams. Safari was through the hotel. This could have been much better. Minneriya Safari tour much better.

Great remote location, wonderful wildlife right outside your room, very peaceful and tranquil. Staff were all delightful and far from pushy, in fact you were left completely alone and you had to go and find staff if you needed anything. The breakfastes were delicious and plentiful and although we were the only couple eating a la carte menu for dinner the curries were fabulous. Lighter snacks like pizza not so good though.

Excellent customer service - jungle chalet was great (well-sized, king-sized bed, no bugs/ creatures of any type found themselves in my chalet which amazed me!) - decent sized pool area

Nice property but questionable services
The hotel was nice. Soft bed and beautiful area. There are a few things that is not what I would expect from a hotel of that price/standard. Everything is with extra charge. If you want a special coffee instead of thir filter coffee or is you want a snack on the safari it is extra charge. The safari from the hotel was really good but it cost to times more than taking it from outside, for that money i would at least expect to have something to snack on. 15 min before checkout time the reception called to hurry me up.

Great stay at Cinnamon Yala
We stayed 2 nights, and wished we had booked for one more night. We did a half day safari, and were lucky enough to see a male leopard. Meals, staff and facililies are great.
