Resort in abbandono, Cibo pessimo , sempre uguale, servito nel luogo più lontano dalla spiaggia, hanno un pontile a T unico ad Antigua che lasciano marcire e usano rarissimamente, queste persone non hanno la più vaga idea di cosa cerca un turista, mi chiedo come Expedia possa ancora proporlo.

Ottima scelta
albergo accogliente e rispondente alle aspettative. Ottimo su tutti i punti di vista, in primo qualità-prezzo. Ottimo il pacchetto TUTTO INCLUSO che dà accesso a tutti i servizi offerti, sports inclusi, e drinks a volontà. Meravigliosa la spiaggia e buono il cibo. Ampie e luminose le stanze (molto meglio quelle vista mare o piscina)

Hotel Halcyon - Dickenson Bay ottima posizione comodo a tutto
La struttura dell'albergo è ampia ma di basso impatto, anche se ci sono molte stanze tutto è molto tranquillo la spiaggia davanti all'hotel è molto ampia e volendo riesci a isolarti benissimo - Dickenson Bay Beach è una spiaggia molto lunga ed è collegata ad una altra spiaggia che è Runaway Beach pertanto sia al mattino che alla sera volendo si possono fare passeggiate sulla spiaggia veramente chilometriche; naturalmente abbiamo girato tutta l'isola avevamo affittato una macchina e dall'Italia avevamo fissato solo i primi 3 giorni in modo da poter scegliere sul posto - siamo rimasti all'Halcyn tutto il tempo rifissando le camere tramite Expedia perchè più conveniente che pagarle sul posto - Il personale è sempre stato gentile e le camere erano molto pulite e grandi - l'ultimo giorno avevamo il volo alla sera, abbiamo lasciato la camera alle 12 e ci hanno dato una camera di cortesia nel pomeriggio per farci una doccia pertanto abbiamo sfruttato anche l'ultimo giorno - Questo per quanto riguarda l'albergo per quanto riguarda l'isola avendone già visitato altre questa sicuramente non è la più bella dei Caraibi.

Hotel migliore delle aspettative di partenza
Hotel sopra le aspettative, considerato il prezzo che è il più economico di tutta Antigua con la formula All-inclusive ne siamo rimasti veramente soddisfatti. Posizionato sulla spiaggia più bella di tutta l'isola (accanto al famoso Sandals) camere molto spaziose(consiglio quelle vista piscina o comunque giardino) buona pulizia, personale gentile, cibo buono e ristoranti molto carini, teli da mare e spazio in spiaggia in abbondanza, con la formula all-inclusive che io consiglio buoni cocktail tutto il giorno e addirittura servizio in spiaggia in alcuni momenti, il giovedì aperitivo in giardino con la musica davvero molto carino. Con la mia bambina di 18 mesi che si è divertita tantissimo lo consiglio se avete dei figli anche piccoli. Per una settimana come abbiamo fatto noi è stato perfetto, consigliamo di noleggiare un auto (meglio un 4X4 causa buche sulla strada ) e visitare le molte spiagge dell'isola che è molto facile da visitare.

SEMBRA DI ESSERE IN CAMPEGGIO
Se siete abituati al campeggio potreste trovarvi bene! La pulizia delle camere e dell' hotel in generale lasciano MOLTO a desiderare! Ma se avete spirito di adattamento e volete passare una vacanza molto "casual", considerando le tariffe (decisamente basse rispetto a quelle delle altre strutture), trascorrerete una piacevole vacanza. La spiaggia dell' albergo è una delle più belle dell' isola. Consiglio la formula all inclusive; anche concedendosi diversi pasti fuori dall' hotel è comunque conveniente, e la qualità del buffet proporzionata al costo. Per cena sono richiesti pantaloni lunghi e camicia o polo (per gli uomini), perchè vista la tipologia dei clienti diversamente andrebbero in costume! A pranzo si presentano a petto nudo! buona vacanza!

l'hotel è semplice,pulito,tranquillo.Il giardino è curato mentre la spiaggia purtroppo non viene pulita.La cucina è di buona qualità,essenziale la formula all inclusive soprattutto per il bere,un po' ripetitivo il menù del mezzogiorno.Il personale è cordiale, disponibile.Teli mare e sdraio sempre disponibili.Taxi nel parcheggio dell'hotel.Escursioni un po' care,bello il giro dell'isola con pelican tour.

SONO MOLTO SODDISFATTA
Anche se il grado di pulizia non è quello al quale noi italiani siamo abituati, posso dire che il personale ci mette la buona volontà e mi definisco abbastanza soddisfatta. Le lacune rilevabii appunto nela pulizia e nele manutenzioni sono ampiamente ricompensate dalla gentilezza e disponibilità del personale tutto, dalla direttrice al ragazzo degli asciugamani. La spiaggia è bellissima e anche il mare, ci sono ombrelloni e sdrai a sufficenza per tutti, danno asciugamani da spiaggia in abbondanza. Passano ogni giorno venditori ambulanti sia di souvenir che di gite in barca ma non sono poi così insistenti e dopo un pò ti riconoscono e ti salutano soltanto. Io li ho trovati per lo più simpatici. Ho acquistato un giro in catamarano da Isaac e mi soo trovata bene. Io nn avevo all inclusive e un pò me ne sono pentita anche perchè nelle vicinanze non c'è molto per mangiare fuori dall'albergo. Consiglio pertanto la soluzione completa e qualche capatina per rompere la noia ai due bei ristorantini sulla spiaggia(1 cena circa 25/30 euro a persona). Attenzione: nessuno vuole gli euro! portate dollari.

ottima qualità prezzo
Hotel in ottima posizione in riva ad una bellissima spiaggia. Ci hanno dato una camera vista piscina anche se avevamo pagato per vista giardino. La camera è spaziosa ed ha un armadio con cassaforte,è dotata di aria condizionata, ma la nostra non funzionava bene. Il bagno è grande con mobile lavabo moderno, ma la vasca con doccia era proprio da sostituire:il rubinetto rischiava di staccarsi! La pulizia è buona ma danno pochi asciugamani: in due ci davano due asciugamani grandi e uno piccolo. Da consigliare la formula all inclusive. La cena costa circa 30 dollari e gli analcolici partono da 4 dollari in su, 7 un bicchiere di birra. è possibile inoltre ritirare un telo mare ogni giorno, ma spesso capitava già alle 10 di non trovare più teli disponibili, quindi portatelo da casa. Davvero scoccianti sono i venditori ambulanti sulla spiaggia, che propongono gite in barca e souvenirs. Inoltre sono abili ad accaparrarsi la simpatia degli ospiti con il braccialetto all inclusive per farsi portare da bere gratuitamente! Segnalo che uno dei venditori che si chiama Judah, ci ha anche rubato 10 dollari dal tavolo dell ombrellone! Per tenerseli lontani dite semplicemente No speak english, L italiano non lo sanno quindi dovreste star tranquilli. Manca soprattutto la sicurezza negli ingressi sulla spiaggia. Sono poche le guardie e spesso entrano strane persone. La cucina è buona, ogni giovedì sera cucina italiana. Un pò ripetitivo quanto proposto al barbecue del pranzo.

Ottimo hotel per rapporto qualità/prezzo. Internet wireless gratis. Bella spiaggia. Hotel frequentato esclusivamente da inglesi/americani. Cibo stile inglese, adatto a persone con poche pretese; buffet con poca scelta ma qualità discreta. A cena accettano solo uomini vestiti con pantaloni lunghi, polo o camicia. Animazione quasi assente.

I liked how spread out the property is, the breathtaking view and options to eat at different spots on the compound. It was peaceful and very relaxing. I also felt safe. The only snag was in the bathroom where the water did not drain quickly in the tub and the toilet had to be flushed a few times occasionally.

Loved the location of the property and the all-inclusives. It afforded us a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, because a member of my party uses a cane, the constant up and down required to get from point A to point B was very taxing. Elevators need to be installed or the restaurant needs to be relocated. Staff was pleasant and accommodating.

I know it's a resort but I would have liked a clock in the room. Buffet dinner and breakfast were wonderful with a wide variety of foods, complimentary wine, including Antiguan fare. Staff was phenomenally friendly - I was only there one night but they remembered my name, helped me with calls to a tour service. I joined a friend at another resort in the south, and Starfish Halycon Cover was 50 times better - especially with such a close walk to the beach. I wish I could have heard the waves at night. . . Thank you for the best time - you epitomize Antigua!

Great location, good staff but poor condition
The staff were good and location good. The room was poor and bathroom not good. The bath had been repaired at the bottom so you could not stand without feeling that you was going to fall through the bath. The sealing around the bath was all broken and brown. The room door was cracked and hard lock. The beach and location was lovely.The hotel is old and in disrepair. It’s a shame.

The hotel is old and many of the rooms are in terrible condition. We had to ask to be moved from the horrible standard rooms we were given to a room that was in better condition. The Manager was not too keen on moving us because she said we had booked a standard room with Expedia and that is what we got! However, we did not expect run down rooms with mildew all over the shower, furniture that had seen better days, big crack in the sink, etc. In one room, the toilet did not even work! After sitting in the lobby for a while, we were shown other rooms in the main building which were acceptable, though still not the best. We were showering with fruit flies on a daily basis. Who knows where these critters came from as we had no fruit on us!! I could go on and on! We heard that others were not at all happy with their accommodations. Good thing this hotel is up for renovation in April! Reception and dining room staff, bartenders and maids who cleaned room were all wonderful! Malaki, the young man who worked at Reception as the bellhop was very pleasant and helpful.

The resort has a very nice beachfront. The beach is open and long, sand is very nice and wakes are very gentle so swimming is very nice. Beachfront bar is also nice. The Warri Pier extends 150 feet out into the sea and at the end is a formal restaurant that opens for dinner several nights a week. The food and service were excellent and the setting is amazing. Our room was a bit dated but it was fine. Room could use a refresh

We were on the island for 10 days and spent the last 4 at the Starfish. The staff were awesome and very friendly. I hope they are all brought back after the future renovation. They were all great with the grand kids.

Spent a couple of nights at Halcyon Cove on way back to UK . We’ve stayed here before so knew the property was rather tired but it is good value and the staff are always nice. We arrived at about 7pm and despite the reception being very busy due to a cancelled flight, we were dealt with quickly and were soon given our room key. Our room was as expected - king bed, aircon , TV , fridge etc

The property location is ideal. The property itself is in disrepair and outdated. We had no room phone, no iron or ironing board, no amenities in the little refrigerator. We had to pay for bottled water. Very little entertainment on the property and house keeping did a very poor job cleaning our room.This resort should be a one star. Expedia should do a better job of evaluating the criteria of good resorts so as to avoid vacationers the disappointment we just experienced. We look to expedia for quality standards but what we found were substandard. The pictures on the website were good but in reality were deceiving. How do we as vacationers decide where to go on holidays based on a website without standards or criteria of the property resort by Expedia? All we ask is don’t promote a resort on your website that is bad knowing people will be dissatisfied .

The hotel is Dated and needs upgrade. The staff are really helpful and always ready to assist in any way. Bartenders Heather and Dolston are out of this world. This resort is lucky to have people like them working for it. On the whole it was an excellent experience. I cant wait till the renovations are complete and go there again.

nice beach and Pier for dinner. Staff was very friendly especially Dave and Jesse. As a returning guest most staff remembered us. The food was also good along with the water aerobics.

The staff was for most part friendly and professional. The room was clean but seem a bit damp. Plenty of lounge chairs at beach, pool appeared nice and clean. Meals had plenty of selection and was in my opinion very nice

The property was clean and well kept. Not much to offer in the all inclusive package being that meals were only available a few times a day and there weren't much in terms of options. No real entertainment and really nothing to do on the resort. You need a taxi to get anywhere on the island unless you rent a car which I advise you do. We took a 15 minute drive to and from a restaurant and the taxi driver charged me $80 US! I didn't argue with him because we never used a taxi again. Lucky we had a great bartender named Errol who took us out to two places the locals party and eat. Great guy, tip him well! The resort was quiet with no one around by 10:30 p.m. In terms of beaches there were some really nice ones but for an overall experience there are better islands in the Caribbean.

Not good.
The Hotel need an update rush, rooms are outdated and the food its below average. If you want a bottle of water it has to be paid. I went for business's, so it was only for breakfast, dinner and sleep. This its a place that I will never repeat.

This property looks like it has not had any investment in its condition for 20 years. The food was average to poor, the condition of the rooms was poor, the gym was dirty and under equipped and the staff, with one or two suggestions, was complacent and of limited assistance. For $300 a night, I would hope you can do better in Antigua. If not, I would look for another island.

Liked nothing. No update on anything and everything was broken inside the room including showed, wiring, sewage smell inside the room. The only thing was the food which was of average quality and looked like they wanted to maintain that. Can not stay there another time.
