Didn’t stay at this property they canceled it and agree to refund my money. They ask me to get in touch with Expedia have them call the property and speak to GM. Beautiful facility and room. The bar was the perfect dinner spot, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again when in the area.

Our stay at The Carnegie House was fantastic. It’s a hidden gem in State College. We were greeted by a friendly employee named William at the front desk, and he escorted us to our room. The room was exceptional! It was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The complimentary coffee, tea, and cookies were a nice treat after a chilly, windy day outside. We spent some time at the bar. The attentive bartenders seemed to genuinely enjoy their job as they interacted with us and other customers. The complimentary breakfast was an added bonus. We would definitely stay at the Carnegie House again!

The staff was amazing!!! I didn’t get her name but she was at the reception desk about 9pm when we checked in after a long travel day. She was very kind and accommodating to our inquiries about late night options. She walked us to our room and made sure everything was perfect. The room was so opulent and yet modern! To top it off the Belgian waffle the next morning was amazing, best I’ve ever had, it didn’t even need syrup. Thank you for an amazing time!

This is a true gem of a hotel! Huge rooms that are beautifully decorated with high-end finishes. Staff professional and friendly. I only wish my stay could have been longer that 15 hours!

Beautiful property tastefully decorated with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Its also nice that your stay includes breakfast. Its a very peaceful and quiet setting but easily accessible in a very short drive to Penn State.

The remodeling was wonderful- it is not within walking distance of much and did not serve breakfast- also closed the bar at 10 both Friday and Saturday- seemed a little early

Carnegie House beyond surprised me with the attention to detail in the room and the personalized service checking in. In room the bathroom was an oasis with a PSU inspired touch. Amenities in the room are fantastic, the cookies and tea were awesome touches. I wish I could stay longer - I’ve had the gift of staying at so many great properties - this one is special.

Love this place , sadly when we arrived we were told restaurant and bar CLOSED. This is a special time for us at this special place which always included the best drinks and 5 star dining 👍, only had we had known we would have rescheduled and not driven in this current weather. Regardless, we enjoyed yourselves and know how blessed we are to even have a place like this in our area . I bitched because I had no salmon or scallops- till I realized so so many people are starving! Shame on me 🙏🙏

Hotel is nice but it has a bit of malfunctioning, ac/heater unit was leaking and rug was completely soaked. The hotel is probably experiencing some sort of water issues as it smells very musty around carpeted areas.

This is a great option if you are visiting PSU. The breakfast and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are appointed very well. The property was renovated two years and show no signs of age. We came for a concert and will definitely be back!!

First time I’ve walked into a hotel room and did not instantly feel grossed out. The place was spotless. The room was so nice and clean and well decorated. I can’t speak to the food because I checked in late and left early.

I was in town to play at Toftrees and celebrate an anniversary. The rate for Carnegie House was higher than I usually spend but splurged for the occasion. The interior decor of the hotel, dining and rooms is stunning and everything was immaculately clean. We are in both the bar and restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The service at the bar and dinner was terrible. Extremely slow, and inattentive without apology which was a disappointment. The food was decent but not equal to the cost in quality. The waitress also was unfamiliar menu and unconcerned with my food allergies. The breakfast service was much better. There were no amenities and the area outside the hotel is apartment complexes which are fine but not very scenic for a walk. The hotel faces hole 17 of the Toftress course which is pretty. Parking was simple and free. Hotel was very quiet but seemed to get quiet busy at dinner. I enjoyed my time there but too expensive for what you get.
