We opted for a larger room with a river view. Well-worth the extra cost. At check-in, the clerk was extremely helpful in suggesting excellent places to dine.

The staff at Rabbit Ears are wonderful. They were able to accommodate a mistake I made booking. We had a great view of the Yampa River and was in walking distance to all the shops and restaurants downtown. Room was clean, nice size, and very cozy. We will be staying here for our trip next year! Thank you for having us we truly had a great experience!

Was given the worst room. The wall was to a passage way woke me up at 7 AM. At 3 am there was a drunk guy who went up the stairs right outside my room. Telling someone to be quiet really loud. Also the traffic noise. And old food in the refrigerator. Room 114 I think? Avoid it the rest of the property looked fine.

We will be back for sure, we loved the space of the room. I'll spend a little more next time for a ground level & riverside room; steps are not fun after a day of skiing & the traffic was a bit loud but walking distance to all of downtown totally worth it

This was a great base to explore Steamboat with a free bus stopping regularly outside to take you to and from the ski area Downtown steamboat is a great town with loads of dining options close by, we had a great meal at the back door grill which has plenty of character

Skiing Visit
Great location. We walked to dinner every night after skiing. Bus stop is right outside the hotel. We took it one day to ski as the roads were pretty snowy. The room was a great size and great amenities. We loved that there was a microwave and mini fridge provided. We were thankful for the discounted hot spring pass but honestly we felt the hot springs weren’t worth the price. Next time we are in town we are hoping to try the more natural Strawberry Park hot springs. Breakfast was the usual fare, nothing special. We would definitely stay here again and looking forward to coming back in the warmer months.

The stay was fine and clean and comfy However the late night front desk guy decided he was going to make his own laws about service animals demanding I show my paper work for him. ADA law states otherwise. Really uncomfortable situation considering my condition is very private.

Ridge, glad you enjoyed our space, we absolutely honor service animals and apologize for any inconvenience. We have reviewed with all of our the staff how to address service animals going forward. Since we are also pet friendly, we aim to waive fees for service animals specifically.

This was a very pleasant surprise. Great value for Steamboat. The room was large and the patio had a great view of the river.

This is a great place for a quick overnight or weekend. While obviously old, they obviously have worked hard to keep the place up. If they bought new bedspreads, there would be minimal evidence that it was an older motel. Loved the complimentary breakfast and the merch!

Very clean and updated. I would stay here again. Room was excellent, but noise from other rooms was mildly noticeable. Great location!!! Very nice folks at the front desk!!!! Amenities were contemporary and included everything from refrigerator to blow dryer. Outstanding value!!!

Iconic old motel. Pricey for what it is, but this is Steamboat. Nothing fancy and would require major remodeling to upgrade everything, so for a place to spend the night before and after skiing, it was fine and met our needs.
