“We loved this property. It is far enough from town to feel secluded but close enough to visit Acadia, Bar Harbor, and other local attractions. Great location and the tent was perfect for a long weekend getaway. Lee and Peg were excellent hosts as well.”

“We felt very comfortable in this sweet little cottage in the woods. It’s only a short distance off Hwy 1, but far enough for no traffic noise. The location makes it easy to travel to any of the beautiful peninsulas. The cottage was very clean and well maintained, and we felt like we found a treasure renting here. “Lovely, updated two-bedroom house in a beautiful setting! Situated half-way between two Acadia National Park destinations - the more popular (and more crowded) Mt Desert Island/Bar Harbor and the beautiful (less crowded) Schoodic Peninsula. The house was clean and well-cared for with newer appliances and the convenience of a washer and dryer. Check-in and out was simple and Amy made herself available but we had absolutely no issues during our stay. Would definitely stay again!”

“We loved everything about this rental. It is private, immaculately clean, and horses! It was so quiet and relaxing to watch the sunrise with coffee out on the deck and horses grazing in the paddocks. This home is perfectly situated to be close to Bar Harbor, Acadia Park, Schoodic Point (even better) and yet distant from crowds and heavy traffic. Driving past the Wyman Blueberry fields was amazing! The host was so helpful and we were so grateful for the Schoodic Point recommendation!”

“This comfy, spotlessly clean cottage is tucked away on a quiet street directly across from the water. We were able to explore so much: Millbridge, Ellsworth, Hancock, Trenton, Bar Harbor, Acadia (both at Bar Harbor & Schoodic), and lots of unincorporated area. I cannot say enough about how nice this cottage is. Additionally, the host, Wanda, was very helpful and a joy to work with. She even made sure to check in on us when a storm blew through and knocked out the power, which lasted appx. 8 hrs....

“Cabin was better than expected. This cabin is exactly what I’m looking for when I relocate to Maine in my retirement. Beautiful location just far enough off the grid to relax from the daily grind. “The cabin was exactly as described. The host was very hospitable, friendly, and helpful with questions about the area and things to do. Firewood was stocked, and later restocked when we ran out. The lake access was perfect. The kayak and canoe onsite was so convenient. The owls literally serenaded us to sleep. We would absolutely come back again!”

“Our little family (3 of us for that huge house) loved this huge house that was stocked with more than we needed, super comfortable beds and spacious rooms. We had games, movies, and the kitchen and bath fully stocked with coffee, seasonings, pasta ... (usually we have to bring everything). The property was perfect distance to Acadia and the Pickled Wrinkle is a must eat! Fire pit was evening ritual. House was fantastic, wish the beach was cleaner less lights on neighbor dock.”

“This was our first trip to Franklin, we came to visit family. The house was perfect. Sat on a beautiful piece of property over looking a bay. We watched the tide come in each day. The sunrise was gorgeous. The house was very well equipped. Very good communication with the owner, and we had a wonderful time. My only comment would be the beds are very firm, so if you’re not used to that, I’d bring something to cushion the mattress. Other than that, wonderful home to rent.”
