“Lodge located on edge of site, beautuful location, so quiet with great views over loch, enjoyed just chilling out taking in views and watching deer in garden, listening to bird song, lodge had everything we needed, really spacious with lots of light coming in through large windows, wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would love to go back”

“We could not have been happier with this location. The view from the house is spectacular. You can sit for hours watching over the water and mountains. The house is very cute and had everything we needed. Enjoyed the common fire pit on a rainy night. Doug is very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We most certainly would return.”

“Booked on vrbo host came to see us not long after check in and said we had got a bargain seemed annoyed told us what we should have paid and then told what we paid . we paid what it came up online so we hadn’t done anything wrong .we are angry at this as the couple travelling with us we had bought for their anniversary gift and Cameron wasted no time in stating price of trip which was very unprofessional. “We had a great time in this lovely Cottage. We loved to watch birds and squirrels on our balcony. We enjoyed playing with the owner´s dog Ralph and canoeing on the loch. Portnellan is a great starting Point to reach almost every destination in the Highlands. Our tip for families ist to do the GoApe treetop challenge in Aberfoyle. Enjoy your stay, we did it.”

“Lovely property for a family , with all home comforts. Great location as most towns are an hour drive away at most . We went in Feb so lots of snow, which the kids loved, however if you went in the summer there’s kayaking and fishing on the estate . Also a massive patio area with beautiful loch views”

“Rooms were clean and comfortable, hot tub was great. Lack of resources to contact or text the property manager when we couldn’t get the front door to lock the first night or when the WiFi went down for nearly a day. No instructions on how to operate foreign appliances! The washer/dryer in the unit never got hot enough to dry my clothing so I ended up using the towel warmer. It took me over 9 hours to get two very small loads of laundry done.”

“A beautiful part of Scotland to stay in, with lots of information about the surrounding area available for us when we arrived.
