“As my son said when I sent him a photo from the deck, “Speaking as a lake scientist, I can say with certainty that (that) is a very pretty lake.” He’s right. Nice lake with a nice lake home. Location is great for hitting the area hiking highlights. Saw eagles flying over the lake - friendly neighbors - good place to stay. Thanks!”

“We loved our stay at the Jaybird Treehouse! It was well maintained, clean, and super cute. The shower was amazing, the beds were super comfortable, and our teenager and their friend loved the trap door and "bunker" under the rest of the treehouse. The ice cream maker was such a nice touch! “We stayed at this cabin for the April 2024 solar eclipse. Don and Kate were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to use their fire pit and yard. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. It’s in a great location on a hill overlooking Lake of Egypt and a quick drive into Marion, IL.”
