The location is great for the RSC Theatre. Unfortunately my room was well below expectation - I don’t know if booking via Expedia even as a VIP guest was the cause. The room was on the ground floor at street level so anyone walking past could look straight in. The bathroom was in poor repair mouldy grout on the bath and damage to the bath itself. There was no dresser or shelving for clothes just hanging wardrobe. All in all a big disappointment.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Friendly and welcoming Only gripe would be the floorboards around the hotel are incredibly squeaky so noisy inside the room from people walking in the corridors

The property was in a great location and the staff member that helped us checkin was really helpful. The room and bathroom were specious but the bathroom was not in a great condition. We noticed some stains on the sink that weren't cleaned properly, but this was quickly taken care of by the cleaning staff when we notified reception. The bathtub showed severe wear and tear, there were big rust spots, mould patches and the drain would not stay open. Overall we had a good experience, but the rooms are in need of some renovation and higher cleaning standards.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, great location! This is my second stay at The Arden, and it was as lovely as the first. The staff even put a Happy Birthday surprise in the room on arrival for my mum, which was much appreciated.

We have stayed here in the past and been very happy. This time it was a very disappointing experience all around. The property is now very tired (which we could put up with) but also not very clean and the food hugely disappointing. We will definitely look for alternative accommodation and meal options on our next visit.

Very very dusty and rustic.... lots of stains on bed and bed sheets, room service woke me at 9am the one morning, very underwhelmed by this hotel.

Lovely hotel. With great front of desk staff and luxury touches that go beyond what you'd expect from a 4*. Excellent location near the waterfront in Stratford, with everything you could want within walking distance. Breakfast was a little unexciting and I don't think the evening dining options and menu are appealing. At least not in winter. Would certainly go back and recommend to others.

Great hotel and staff
Great hotel in a great location, with perfect service. Minor areas for improvement would be breakfast. It felt like it was served on a budget with half a black pudding, a tiny hash brown and a continental breakfast that looked like half the options were missing.

Had a great time in Stratford, hotel was lovely so we’re staff, only had one gripe it’s an old building and the room we stayed in was by the staircase and it was very noisy and squeaky would stay again but choose a different room.

We’ve stayed here many times as it was an SLH hotel. It’s a wonderful hotel in the centre of Stratford, perfect for the RSC, however the rooms are starting to look a little tired, it could do we a refresh.

Upgraded room was not so good. The room smelt damp due to a leak in the bathroom, the bed was uncomfortable, the tv did not get all the channels and the people in the next room were noisy, waking us up at 6am with their tv blaring. The lady on reception however was very apologetic and helpfull so found us another room, which althoug smaller,was much better. The breakfast on the first morning was ok but on the second morning my husband was served cold scrambled eggs which he had to send back. All in all it was a pleasant stay in a nice hotel in a good location with very pleasant staff, but all those stairs!

Such an amazing hotel. Was upgraded to the Maple room when we arrived which is so lovely. The Maple room has a view of the RSC and an amazing king sized bed!

Convenient location and enjoyable stay
Excellent location, close to restaurants and directly across the Royal Shakespeare theater. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast included continental items and an made to order plate. Both the food and service were good. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Arden!

Wonderful hotel and location. Gorgeous setting. Very historic. Great place to walk around town Shakespeare theayer right across the street! We went 2 nights to plays, was fabulous. Restaurant wonderful for breakfast and dinner. We loved our stay.

Beautiful hotel perfectly situated beside the river Avon and overlooking the RSC theatre. We stayed in a superior room with views of the theatre which were wonderful. The room itself was well appointed with amenities such as tea/coffee and real milk in the fridge. The check in and concierge service were all impeccable. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would definitely return.

Nice Hotel.
Hotel in perfect location. We were upgraded to a better room which we were very grateful. Large room with comfortable bed. Good shower. All clean and spotless - bathroom could do with an update. The man who showed us to our room on the Sunday afternoon seemed rushed and not particularly welcoming. Monday's staff were lovely.

We loved the lovely big room and also the large bathroom with a bath and a shower. A small niggle, one of the blinds in our room was broken and the fridge did not seem to be working, but this did not detract from our stay. The bed and pillows were comfy and the large tv was a bonus. Only negative was all the stairs everywhere and the price of the drinks in the bar! Breakfast was good as hot food was cooked to order.
