Buon hotel con ottimo ristorante
Buon Hotel un po' lontano dal mare (circa 10/15' a piedi). Ha un ottimo ristorante aperto anche agli esterni (anche se un po' caro rispetto agli standard della Namibia). Camere pulite e comodo parcheggio interno. Personale molto disponibile e gentile. Unica nota negativa: ci sono stati riappesi gli asciugamani che avevamo posto sul pavimento per essere cambiati (come indicato su un cartello appeso in bagno). Nelle vicinanze c'è anche una buona pizzeria.

We had a very nice time, friendly and heloful staff. We were at home, enjoyed every moment. If we ever have the opportunity we shall stay there again.

Great Food
A really good place to stay if you are visiting Swakopmund for the first time. The rooms are good and the restaurant serves and great selection of German classics.

Staff was friendly, brought an old world atmosphere to the trip with the dinner experiences especially over the top excellent. A lot of locals come just to eat at this hotel which says a lot about its high quality.

Convenient and clean
Family room was two story with four beds; very comfortable. Staff was helpful and courteous. Secure parking in rear.

Five Star : Best value for money. Large room , Excellent home cooked Germannfood.Well attended by locals. Home from home. Five star Free Wifi. Four stars : no room fridge. Dated Bathroom.. Shower in bath .With such grand spacious rooms..an update.to five starpull out the bath, replace with : glass wall shower .only ?

Cold!
Had a family suite comprising 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, joined by a spiral staircase. The rooms were external to the hotel (my son likened them to the cheap BB motels in France) and the coldest hotel rooms we have ever been in. A single tiny radiator made no impact. Day 2 I asked staff for additional heating and they found a 3-bar fire for us to huddle round. This did nothing to thaw the tiled bathrooms, which at prime time had fairly warm water and tepid at other times. The receptionist cheerfully agreed with me that the water in the hotel was cold at told me that other guests had complained. The manager told me the boilers were old and couldn't cope, and were only programmed to come on mid-afternoon! He pointed out that the weather in Swapokmund was cold as though that justified his cold hotel; as guest we needed somewhere to warm up away from the bad weather.

Bien mais chambre froide ( humide non climatisee)
NOus sommes arrives dans le bruillard de l'hiver. L'acceuil fut agreable et la chambre double a deux niveaux agreable. Le restaurant est tres bien place et le diner fut excellent, le petit dejeuner bon voir copieux si vous avez vraiment faim. La touche allemande nous a permis de rester dans la thematique ancienne ville allemande (volkbrot). Le probleme reside dans la chambre il n'y a pas de climatisation et vue la proximite de la mer les peices sont humides et froides. NOus avons donc sorti les couvertures car nosu gelions et la fumet de moisi et renferme qui a vraiment gache les bons apsects de l'hotel. Il est calme bien situe avec un parking ferme ce qui garantit la securite de votre vehicule. Il suffit ensuite de descendred de 100m pour commencer a visiter la ville et ses batiments neo-gothiques ou style allemand puis enfin arrive a la mer. Bref, bon compromis si ce n'est cette terrible erreur l'absence de systeme de chauffage ou de vrai climatisation qui laisse l'humidite et la moisissure pour les couvertures s'installer.

Hotel in Stadtnähe, sauber und funktionell, auch großzügig kombinierte Doppelzimmer mit vier Betten (Eltern und Kinder) und zwei Bädern erhältlich, nicht ganz billig.

Vi bodde i nya delen, i rummen med två våningar. Utmärkt skick på rummen och gott om plats för 4. Bra restaurang och är du sugen på en köttbit har du kommit rätt.

Just OK...
It was a nice stop for a night but a little dark and outdated. The food was just okay as well. Don't think I would stay here again as it is a little further out from the city center.

German Guest Zimmer in Swakopmund
It's a good hotel to stay in when seeing the sights in Swakopmund. It's close to the major tourist sights and they have secure gated parking in the back of the hotel. They have free and fairly fast wifi connections. They have a full service restaurant with a few game specialties as well as a lot of German style meals. This place is similar to a family run German hotel. Like those hotels they even have rooms on the very top floor with rafters and beams in the room. They are pretty tight on space.These wouldn't be a good choice fall a tall person. All and all I had a pleasant stay.

Bring warm clothing
The hotel is not so near to the sea as one is lead to believe. The one thin wall-mounted heater for a 2-story room provides insufficient warming in winter. Good breakfast. I did not eat in the restaurant otherwise. I was told that I was booked for next day airport shuttle. The day of, I stopped at reception to re-confirm and was told I was not booked. Small scramble ensued, then they said I would be picked up in 45 minutes, so I went to the room to pack. About 1 minute later, they said the driver was at the hotel and I needed to leave NOW. It was all very interesting, but confusing.

1 Woche Swakop, für Übernachtung OK
Wir haben kurzfristig ein Doppelzimmer gebucht und auch schnell eine Zusage bekommen. Unser erster Eindruck war eher wie ein Bed&Breakfast statt ein Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr schwach gereinigt. Es war fast auf allen flächen Staub zu erkennen, der schon länger den Eindruck macht anwesend zu sein. In der Dusche ist alles was metallisch ist am rosten, Kalk ist auch stark present (Duschkopf). zum Postitiven, Das Restaurant ist sehr gut! Das Essen und der Service ist spitze und preislich für Namibia angemessen. Der Rest der Mitarbeiter waren stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Für ein Wochenende zu empfehlen, für längeren Aufenthalt stören die ersten Kritikpunkte dann doch.

Very comfortable hotel
It really enjoyed my stay here, the room was very spacious and clean, the breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful; the location too is convenient, although Swakopmund isn't very big anyway; I would definitely stay here again

Komfortables kleines Hotel
In einer Seitenstraße, aber trotzdem nicht abseits gelegens Hotel mit sehr guter Küche. Personal überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Große abwechslungsreiche Speise- und Getränkekarte.

Very nice hotel
I spent a week at this hotel and really enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is in the centre of town, a small walk from everything. The food in the restaurant is excellent. You won't be disappointed staying here. The owner and his wife are always around to make sure you are enjoying yourself.

I enjoyed my stay.
I was happy to spend one night at Hotel Deutsches Haus. I felt welcome, and comfortable. Staying here felt like being in Southern Germany one minute, then suddenly realizing that I was in Africa. The staff and owner were very helpful, and the dinner and breakfast were delicious. My room was large qnd quiet, but I did not get a hot shower in the morning.

Hotel un peu excentre mais beaucoup le sont et la ville est tres petite. Personnel tres sympa, nourriture saine et abondante, management serieux et aimable. Chambre grande mais vieillotte et denuee de vue. Confort 2☆. Bien pour une etape d"une nuit.
