Really close to beach and restaurants, but a lodge
It is really close to both the Beach and Bondi restaurants and the staff is super friendly and you really do feel welcome and as a guest in someone else's big house, but to others reading this review I would probably categorize this more as a lodge than a hotel so you realize that what you get for the price you are paying is a spartan accommodation with quite a hard/stiff bed and no real AC though bathroom is really nice and modern. After being woken up in bed by a 4+ cm cockroach crawling on my arm, which was not my first bug incident in the room, I decided to leave early and move to a real hotel close to the airport as I was going on a long haul flight the day after and didn't want to think about what kind of bug that would wake me up next. I know bugs etc are part of the Australian fauna and to be expected, but the only close encounters I had with bugs in my bed during my 3.5 weeks in Australia at 15+ accommodations, including in the rainforest in the north of Australia, was here in Bondi so maybe I was just unlucky or very lucky during my trip. Besides the above, I would appreciate better locks and doors to the rooms because if there were better locks I would feel like my stuff were secure and if the doors were better I would probably not have gotten unexpected visitors that easily as they wouldn't be able to crawl under the 1 cm gap under the door.

Thank you for your review, its great to get a sense of our guests experiences good/bad or in-between. As an accommodation which is not 'just an everyday hotel room' who loves taking care of our guests and making them feel like they're part of the Bondi culture and an extension of our family, we would have tried to help you have a better experience rather than move to another accommodation if you had reached out at the time. We don't have AC in any rooms and this is stated on booking, we try to be environmental here so have chosen this option. As for the bed I'm not sure what room you occupied but i know other people have loved the beds so perhaps just a different taste :) We will take on board the comments about the doors/security and look to improve this... some rooms do have safes for personal belongings but I'm not sure which room you were staying in? As for the cockroach they unfortunately come indoors during our humid/rainy conditions at certain times of the year and tend to be a permanent Sydney resident. Check in was really easy, the room was clean and the tea and coffee in the room made it very homey. I would definitely recommend staying here, it's so close to the beach!!

This was my ideal of something terrific for the price. Quite, clean, quaint, characterful and so close to the beach, bus stop and eateries. Very happy. Should just mention that it wouldn’t be good for those with mobility problems as there are lots of stairs.

We were delighted with Bondi Beach House. An amazing combination of proximity to Beach and Bondi restaurants, a gorgeous room in a quirky, quaint building and such lovely before, during and after service for a super reasonable price. All three of us have declared we will stay here again

Buena ubicación el resto mediocre por el precio
La casa está bien ubicada y es limpia. Lo negativo los colchones deben ser renovados (de manera urgente). El baño compartido tiene dentro la lavandería lo que lo hace algo incómodo. Seria bueno que aclararan el tipo de desayuno incluido y las demás reglas de la casa en la publicidad. Por el mismo precio hay otras alternativas mejores en la zona, de no haber pagado de forma anticipada me habría cambiado de alojamiento.

Lovely room in paved courtyard surrounded with plants and trees Breakfast supplies were excellent. Quiet, even though only being 100 meters from Bondi's main thoroughfare. Very close to Bondi shops/restaurants, Bondi-Bronte walkway and Icebergs pool. Would love to stay again.

It’s a pretty little place in Bondi near to the bus stands and beach. We are very happy with our stay and liked the fact that we were provided some food to prepare our own breakfast. Overall, it’s a very nice place.

Close proximity to the beach, cafes, bars, and restaurants. However the room left a lot to be desired and was very dated. NO AC, one small fan and only one small window in the bathroom opened. The included breakfast was a plus and the patios were nice. For this price point would stay somewhere else with AC next time

Nice quiet stay for couples
Everything was clean! The staff were on-site and extremely helpful. I enjoyed the peace and quiet days And nights! Breakfast was better than expected! The room was normal sized, and we had easy access to the beach, bus, and grocery stores, which helped save $. The restaurants near were crazy, stupid expensive and mostly unhealthy beach food, so local stores was a must! The laundry area worked ok, but I’m not used of hang drying! I know, it saves the environment and $.

Klein aber fein. Wir hatten leider ein sehr sehr kleines Zimmer oder einfach zu viel Gepäck. Für den kurzen Aufenthalt war es aber vollkommen ausreichend. Es ist alles sehr liebevoll eingerichtet & wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Auch die Leute die mit uns dort gewohnt haben, waren super und wir haben uns gerne ein Bad geteilt. Obwohl ich dem am Anfang skeptisch entgegen stand. Also wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Lage ist ein Traum und sauber war es auch. Wir kommen wieder.

The beach house has loads of character and Charm, it’s peaceful and quiet yet close to everything you need and so close to the beach. It’s clean, comfortable , the kitchen and breakfast is just like being at home.

Such a charming Beach House!! Our room was clean & spacious. We particularly loved the ability to make our own breakfast in the communal kitchen which is clean & tidy with a great variety of breakfast options. Delighted to be able to sit outside in the garden for breakfast or any time of the day. Great location for beach or walking to Restaurants.

Good location. Secure parking good. Kitchen breakfast provisions good. Staff pleasant and helpful. Floors were cleaned regularly but flat services were very dirty. Our room was too small to be called a double for travellers with suitcases. Expensive for what you get compared to other stays on our trip. Someone set off the kitchen smoke alarm l discovered as I went to the bathroom one morning yet it was not loud enough to be reacted to in our room..?.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry you found this room so disappointing. I will agree with you that this is one of the smallest rooms of the house, hence why it is the least expensive room we have for 2 people. The alarm you are speaking of was actually the oven timer being set off in the kitchen (which has happened before) by accident, as our actual smoke alarm is very loud and piercing and we received no notification that this had gone off during your stay. We are sorry that your experience was not satisfactory. Thank you again.

Thank you for your review, Yes as we are a guest house rooms are not serviced daily, but are upon request for guests staying longer than 4 nights. Our laundry facility is only operational at these times due to noise issues for guests located near the shared bathroom.

Upea kokemus. Buukkasin Bondi Beach House houneen kahdeksi yöksi päästäkseni toviksi pois usean ihmisen hostellihuoneista. Sain itselleni huoneen hotellin puutarhasta, täysin oma rauha, vessa, suihku ja upea pieni mökki. Aamiainen oli hyvä, ja palvelu erittäin hyvää.

Great place to stay in Bondi
Bondi Beach House is Really arty and quirky. Each room is individual and the feel is like home. We are now on our third stay and would definately return to this amazing place. It is centrally located and a few seconds onto Bondi Beach. It is very clean and comfortable and spacious. This room (Wombat room 3) has a separate entrance and a small kitchen facility which is really useful for making a hot drink, fridge and microwave. The garden is really nice and we have sat outside with our breakfast I. The sun in August (winter here!). Would definately recommend. The staff have been great and really friendly. Breakfast is help yourself which for us is perfect.

Perfect beach house!
Truly is one of the hidden treasure of Bondi. It's a home away from home. I stayed in probably one of the smallest room - the Wattle Room but it was so cosy and comfortable! Single bed and although not much room to wiggle around, it was suitable for me who just wanted to have some quiet down time. I wasn't even bothered that I needed to share bathroom as the house is clean and well-kept. The decor is warm and rustic, not too mentioned generous helpings for breakfast. Thanks to Fenda as well for allowing me to bum out in the kitchen for a couple of hours after checking out before I needed to leave. Definitely staying again if I return to Bondi!

Nice Hotel
Friendly Guest House feeling. Making your own free breakfast was a great way to meet other guests and find out more about the area. Great location 2 mins walk to the centre of Bondi. If you are not into surfing or the beach 1-2 day visit is enough.

Really lovely Hotel is located well to the beach in a Quiet Side road. Nice Backyard With the possibility to Make nice conversatons With others guests like i did. Laid-back stay
If you like a laid-back accommodation that feels like a home, you’ll like this place. The make-your-own breakfast has pleantiful options, thr bed was comfortable, the common areas are interesting, and the other travelers you’ll meet here are friendly. The only minus: the shower in the shared bathroom is not meant for tall people. We had to practically do the limbo to wash our hair.

Comfy room and friendly staff
Lovely experience staying at Bondi Beach House with friends. Our room was clean, well appointed and light. Staff were friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was great. 2 min walk to cafes and the beach. Will definitely stay again.

Gemütliches Hotel mit viel Charme
Bonsai Brach House ist ein kleines Hotel mit viel Charme. Es besticht durch seine gemütliche und wohnliche Einrichtung mit schönem Mobiliar, Bildern und Kunstobjekten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Alles ist unkompliziert.

Tolles Gasthaus mit Vintageeinrichtung
Strandnähe im wirklich tollen Stadtteil Bondi-Beach von Sydney. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Haus hat 2 Stockwerke und ist am Hang gebaut. Frühstück muss man sich selbst oben in der Küche machen, aber es ist alles dafür da (Brot, Kaffee, Cornflakes etc). Wer Wurst oder Käse aufs Brot will, muss sich das selbst kaufen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dorthin fahren
