Welcoming comfortable home with beautiful views. And Mark, the owner, was very accommodating and answered questions we had about driving up the mountain to see General Sherman. It was amazing.

Perfect stay in Three Rivers
This was a perfect slice of heaven for our stay while we visited Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The house was well equipped and very clean. The host was very attentive and made sure our needs were met. The views were incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Peaceful Beauty
This property is thoughtfully decorated and appointed. We were deeply impressed by the location and the views! And because the kitchen had plenty to support cooking, we were able to successfully pull of a Thanksgiving meal with our daughter and SNL. If we had any questions, Mark, the manager, was so responsive to our calls. Thank you Mark! We would be blessed to return and enjoy more time at The Shady Knoll!

Great house in a great location
This house was much better than we expected. It was roomy and decorated well. We enjoyed the views and the night sky from the decks. We highly recommend this property if you are coming to the area. Mark communicated all necessary information quickly.

Great house to visit Sequoia National Park
Beautiful house with great mountain views. The property is very clean and spacious. Great, well-stocked kitchen. Large outdoor space with a nice deck. Good, quiet neighborhood and close to the Park. We really enjoyed our stay.

A Perfect Stay
The Shady Knoll is all you need and more! The proximity to Sequoia NP is perfect. We loved that even when we got back to the house, the views didn’t stop! Watching sunset and stargazing from the porch was a major highlight! If we ever make a trip to Sequoia again, this is the only place we plan to stay.

Amazing house
I cannot say enough great things about The Shady Knoll! The communication leading up to our visit was awesome, Mark made sure that we had up to date information about the National Parks and the status of the roads. And the house is just awesome, the outdoor spaces, the views, the patio built into the rocks, I could have spent a lot of time just enjoying the house, but it is just a couple of miles from Sequoia National Park, which is amazing, and then a short drive further to Kings Canyon, which is also amazing. The kitchen is great, but there are also good restaurants in town if you don't want to cook. I cannot recommend this place enough! You will not be disappointed if you choose this great place to stay!

Wonderful All Round
This was a perfect house in such a quiet area. The owners were so thoughtful. The house is very well appointed. The views from all around were spectacular. Lovely places to sit and enjoy the heat of the valley and the view to the snow capped mountains beyond. We didn’t go to any of the surrounding restaurants opting to use the fantastic BBQ and all the kitchen equipment. The Generals Highway was closed and Mark provided helpful information about alternate routes. Might have to come back, travel the Generals Highway and stay again.

Awesome views and great host!
My family came from NC to visit Kings Canyon and Sequoia. Unfortunately due to road damage the close entrance was closed due to road damage. However Mark provided so much helpful information in advance of our trip as well as plenty of maps for us to use. It was amazingly well stocked with various kitchen amenities. The view! The pictures do not do the view Justice. The back deck was our favorite spot for the short time we were there. Highly recommend and we hope to come back again one day!

Sequoia national park visit
House was perfect for what we needed. Communication with Mark was very good. Arrived and the housekeeper was just leaving. She was wonderful, she walked us around the house and showed us where everything was and was a joy to talk to. All in all this was a five star stay.!!!

Great stay at Shady Knoll
This little cabin in the mountains is awesome! The location is wonderful, just outside of Sequoia National Park. The cabin itself is nicely updated. Perfect for my parents and I. 2 full bedrroms and 2 bathrooms. Very clean! The entire home was very well stocked from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms! We really enjoyed the views, spending time outside on the front and back decks and we even used the gas grill. I would highly recommend staying here when in the Three Rivers/Sequoia ares! Mark, my only suggestion would be to add some sort of writing paper and a pen or 2, but our stay was wonderful!

We spend New Years here and it was awesome! The house is immaculate and the views are out of this world. From the complimentary snacks/bottle of wine to the regular updates on the park conditions, this is definitely an above average stay. Will definitely come back!

Shady Knoll
The Shady Knoll is the PERFECT place to stay when visiting Three Rivers, Sequoia and King’s Canyon National Parks. Our host is definitely a “ Super Host” in that all the details are lined out: excellent communication via email prior to arriving, where, how, what to do and immaculate cleanliness! All recommendations were spot on!! I could go on and on! We even received an email the first morning about the rules in the park due to snow conditions. That saved us a lot of time. If you choose to stay at the Shady Knoll, you will not be disappointed!!

Beautiful!
The house is perfect, clean and comfortable! The outdoor spaces are beautiful and the views are excellent! We enjoyed seeing a fox, a black bear and hearing the Donkeys in the background. Great location to the park, unfortunately it closed due to mud slides and we couldn't see the trees. Oh well just means we need to come back to Three Rivers

The property was wonderful! Exactly as described. Kings Canyon/Sequoia visits. Literally minutes from an entrance. Nestled in the hills with wide sights. Baby deer set off the motion lights, Excellent host notes, food choices from 3 guest books recommendations.

Traumhafte Lage in traumhaftem Häuschen
Die Lage des Anwesens ist perfekt und in kurzer Distanz zum Sequoia Nationalpark gelegen. Das Häuschen und insbesondere die Terrasse sind einfach wundervoll. Alles in allem eine sehr klare Weiterempfehlung! Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt.

Gorgeous Views; Comfy Home!
We were traveling through this area and chose to rent the Shady Knoll…so glad we did! We loved getting up in the mornings and drinking our coffee on the deck watching the sunrise…the house was surrounded by mountains on all sides with views of the mountains from the front, back, and sides. The beds were so comfy and the home was well-stocked. Mark was so easy to communicate with and answered our questions, as well as gave us suggestions on where to eat and shop in the area. We highly recommend Shady Knoll in Three Rivers!!

Awesome seating areas for soaking in the beauty.
This place was absolutely amazing with numerous areas to just relax and see the beauty. The only downside was that the kitchen appears to have been overlooked in the deep cleaning process as there was food from previous visitors under the burners and the shower in one of the bathrooms had hair in it. I would still recommend booking, but would ask the owner to instruct the cleaning crew to be more thorough.

Three Rivers Sequoia Trip
We absolutely loved the Shady Knoll! It’s surrounded by incredible mountain views which we enjoyed hanging out on the front and back porches. The VRBO pictures really don’t do it justice. The house is very comfortable inside and out with a spacious interior and big soft beds! Great location as well, only a few miles from Sequoia and restaurants. The Three Rivers locals were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely book again!!

Shady Knoll - Hidden Gem
An amazing property with views to take your breath away. So peaceful we enjoyed watching the wildlife and admiring the fantastic 360 views. Every attention to detail has been thought of, from the welcome basket to the maps and popcorn to enjoy whilst watching a movie. A gorgeous home to enjoy either an adventure in the National park or a relaxing time with all the creature comforts of home.
