“This on a very steep hill next to a restaurant. The little village is very cute and you feel part of the community. It is fun to walk around the paths between the homes and explore. Everything is on a hill so be prepared to walk an incline coming or going. As for the home, the grounds are beautiful and the view is absolutely breathtaking. “Beautiful property, magnificent lake views from all bedrooms. Excellent location, easy walking distance to restaurants, a main attraction historic Villa, and the ferry. Owner took her time explaining how to get to each attraction, best bakery, recommended restaurants which lived up to the hype, happily arranged water taxi, and was responsive when we had additional questions throughout our stay. Loved it all!”

“Beautiful property, comes as advertised. Stunning views of the lake with central Menaggio only 7 minute drive away. There is also a walking path down to town center. Amazing communication by management - always prompt and responsive. We needed a new set of knives and pasta fork and management brought it the next day. La comunicazione con il proprietario scarsa, le luci dell atrio e del boschetto bruciate quindi risultava inagibile di sera e non in sicurezza. La tv solo in tedesco. The location of the pool area offers one of the most beautiful views in the world, it is unique. The villa is perfectly furnished and equipped and is really huge. “This appartment has a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. It has a beautiful terrace and it is very nice that there is a fence. It’s is big enough for a small family but a bit more cutterly and glasses would be nice otherwise you are washing up right after every meal. The hosts are very friendly!!”

“L'appartamento mansardato al secondo piano della bella villa da noi affittato è comodo e carino. L'unico neo del posto, che ovviamente non toglie fascino all'appartamento, sono tutti gli scalini che vanno dalla strada al secondo piano della villa. Comunque esperienza positiva.”

“Charming house with lovely view. Positives were the open plan central floor where we could all meet, and the view from the top floor bedroom. Negatives were the regular power cuts, the smaller bedrooms are hot without AC, and the walk to Menaggio is 30 minutes and of questionable safety in sections. Overall we had a delightful stay, a great time was had by all and George was really helpful !”

“On the positive side Villa Paola has a wonderful view of Lake Como and is very private. Unfortunately, there are too many things wrong with the house and the local management company to recommend it. When we arrived, the lawn was very overgrown, the outdoor furniture was a mess and there was no umbrella as pictured on the website. It took a week to get the local host company Lake Como Holiday to address some of the outside issues. On the first day we discovered the upstairs toilet didn't flush...

“Lovely accommodation designed for comfort. Fabulous views, nice privacy, plenty of room, and very comfortable. Only issue was locating the property, be sure to follow the photo directions closely and be prepared to look back over your shoulder to see the last couple of landmarks. Make sure to note that you must have a car to get to this property, it is quite a ways up the hill from the water in a car is essential to get to and from town.”
