PALMENTO TRECASTAGNI, panoramic villa and dépendance with swimming pool

The main body is an old millstone that has been recently, carefully restored and consisting of a lounge, kitchen, bathroom with shower and two double bedrooms.
The annex is composed of: living room (with sofa bed for a child), kitchen, bathroom with shower and a mezzanine with double bed communicating with the living room.
All the rooms are equipped with independent gas heating and heat pump air conditioning.
Large swimming pool with fountain, two showers, one of which is heated. Attached changing room with bathroom and sink.
Two large (40sqm each) and very panoramic pergolas equipped with surround music player.
Vast (8,000 square meters) and panoramic land (garden, vineyard and orchard).
Children's play area with two swings and trampoline.
The structure is equipped with wi-fi internet connection, video surveillance system, video intercom system that connects the three buildings, Palmento - Swimming pool - Dépendance, anti-theft and anti-intrusion system.
Automatic gate with remote control to enter the structure.
Located at an altitude of 600 m, on the outskirts of the welcoming town of Trecastagni, inside the Etna park (UNESCO heritage).
The town offers many clubs (bars, restaurants, pizzerias, pubs, etc.) and a cinema with air conditioning. Nearby, the motorway junction that allows easy access to the most important Sicilian tourist resorts such as Taormina, Syracuse, Vl di Noto, Gole dell'Alcantara, Aeolian Islands.
A few kilometers away you reach the central crater of the Etna Volcano, splendid both for skiing and for wonderful guided excursions, and the amazing coast of Aci Trezza with the legendary stacks and the incredible seafront.
Also a few kilometers away is the historic town of Acireale with its splendid Baroque churches.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Swimming pool will be open from May 4th to October 11th 2024.
Nothing is due for air conditioning, gas, water and electricity standard consumption. The Renter will pay only for the electricity used over 20 kwh per day at a cost of 1 (one) euros per kwh and only for the water consumed over 3,7 cubic meters per day at a cost of 6,00 (six) euros per cubic meter.
Electricity and water use will be calculated based on meter readings at the beginning and the end of the lease period.
Heating in winter time: € 30,00 per day.

Only the number of guests confirmed at the time of booking can use the internal and external spaces of the house.

great week in October
We had a very nice stay in Palmemto Trecastagni. Mario waited for us until very late and guided us to the well hidden house... The address is Via Ronzini 94, not Contrada Ronzini, as it says in the contract. The old mill has been restored and decorated with much taste, it is really a beautiful and unique property. The only drawback is that the main bedroom is right next to the road, so you hear cars passing by (only 10 - 20 per day). The kitchen is well equipped, you can notice the owners live here part of the year and it's not only being rented out. Terrace, garden and pool area are wonderful, with a view of the sea and the whole area north of Catania. In October it gets a bit chilly in the evening and the pool is really refreshing... The location is very quiet but a bit outside of town, you really need a car to get around, then it's only a 5 min drive to Trecastagni. For other destinations you need to get to the highway at Acireale, which is a 15-20 min drive through rather chaotic villages. All in all, we would certainly recommend staying here, both for families or a group of friends! (Family of 4 from the Netherlands)

Wunderbar stilvolle Villa unweit vom Etna
Wir hatten hier eine perfekte Woche. Das Haus ist eine alte mit Liebe zum Detail restaurierte weinmühle. Wenn sich das Tor zum Grundstück öffnet bietet sich ein fantastischer Blick auf das Tal und Meer. Das ganze Grundstück hat liebevoll gestaltete Sitzgelegenheit im Freien, die den Aufenthalt abwechslungsreich und kurzweilig machen. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, und der Blick vom essplatz unbezahlbar! Der Pool ist kalt aber schön. Auch der Kontakt mit der Agentur war perfekt, wir konnten ohne Aufpreis am Abreisetag bis 14 Uhr im Haus bleiben. Durch das zweite kleine Haus auf dem Grundstück eignet es sich besonders für einen Urlaub mit zwei Familien, wie wir es waren! Wir können die Gegend mit dem kleinen Bergdorf Trecastagni und das Haus nur weiterempfehlen! Es war im Oktober zwar etwas kühler dort oben aber jeden Cent wert! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Character villa in a wonderful setting
This is a stunning villa in a tranquil location, impeccable and extensive gardens and fabulous views. A converted wine press with restored features integral to the living space make for a lovely setting. We spent two fantastic weeks here in August. Located around 600m above sea level makes for a cooler climate - the few times we dropped to sea level we found the weather stiflingly hot but never suffered at the villa's altitude. Numerous small villages and towns nearby offer plenty of local restaurants within a short drive from the villa. A car is essential as the rural roads aren't designed for pedestrians. The kitchen is adequate for preparing meals, the villa is clearly home for the owner during parts of the year. This villa is all about outdoor living and the various dining and seating areas on the terrace outside the villa and the pool area, with views out to sea, made the holiday. The main visitor centre at south Etna is just a 30 minute drive and is a 'must'. Being so close allows you to visit early before the tour coaches and queues arrive. We also enjoyed Taormina, taking in an opera during our stay, and enjoyed a boat trip out to Stromboli to see a more explosive volcano. We booked Mediterranea Crociere through Trip Advisor and would thoroughly recommend as they don't overfill their boats as other cruises we saw. The main house has two double bedrooms with a further double bed in the annex by the pool. We didn't use this additional space, but this and the pool without a shallow end, wouldn't be well suited to small children. Our one small negative is that we felt let down slightly by the overall cleanliness on arrival. We had to clean the kitchen, crockery and cutlery before first use, the wider cleanliness was resolved by Marco. This mustn't detract from what is in every other sense an amazing villa, away from it all, in a superb setting.

Mooie ligging huis maar comfort kan beter
Prachtige locatie met tuin en zwembad. Helaas waren we minder te spreken over de bedden. Een bed was ronduit slecht.Om een huis te verhuren zouden we er minder een museum van maken. Ook misten we goed inventaris. Mario was erg hartelijk in het ontvangst en het geven van tips.

Best house ever!
this is an amazing place. it takes seconds and we felt at home in this individually and lovingly decorated houses. the garden and pool-area are wonderful too. it takes only 30 minutes to the airport, catania or beaches. maybe good to know for some of you: the main sleeping room is directly next to the street (maybe one car per our passed by), the pool is really cold (i love it;-)), 8 adults will be very tight (6 adults and 2 kids max.) we've been in trecastagni in the second half in octobre and we had a lot of rain. at the end it was the wonderful aura of this poperty that makes us happy for the hole vacation. best regards thomas

Tolle Lage, super Haus, stilvoll renoviert und sehr gut ausgestattet
Die Agentur, die das Haus verwaltet ist sehr freundlich und immer zu erreichen gewesen. Sie haben sich auch hervorragend um unsere Bedürfnisse gekümmert. Die Tips vor Ort über Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Wegbeschreibungen waren bestens. Die Aussicht, vom Haus aus ist phantastisch, wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Lovely mansion
We visit Sicily by the end of August. The house and the garden is wonderful and we (in total 6 adults) totally enjoyed our time here. From the pool you have a great view over cantania and the sea. The house is well equipped and the real estate was very kind. They gave us great tips and answered within a short time. Thanks a lot for your great hospitality!
