Absolutely loved our stay. Staff was amazing and attentive. The grounds are open to people staying after the park closes so it was nice to explore. They offer animal interaction feeding for a reasonable price per the room regardless of number of people, which was great! Had free fishing on grounds which kids loved. Dinning was great. Enjoyed our stay.

I always love staying at this property. It is a paradise dream and I love waking up to the birds saluting the rising Sun. This is my third time staying here at this property. This round I brought my 6 year old nephew who completely loved the animals and the waterfall trails and everything. I always recommend this property to everyone who is planning a visit to Costa Rica.

Vivre dans la nature , les jardins sont magnifiques et bien entretenus. Pour les amoureux des oiseaux c’est un endroit merveilleux. L’accès aux chutes est facile et il y a un shuttle pour nous ramener au lodge. Pas besoin de remonter toutes les marches !!! Température fraiche prévoir une petite laine. Le seul bémol….. on est toujours dans les escaliers donc si problèmes de genoux ou cardiaques … ouf C’est un endroit pour se reposer. Très beau séjour!

They had amazing access to wildlife. We had been travelingb in Costa Rica for 2 weeks and had not gotten close enough to a Toucan or Sloth for a good photo. We saw both and so many more birds and animals. The waterfalls were beautiful too!

Great property, staff was amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable. We arrived late for check in, the restaurants where already close. They had some sandwiches prepared for us so we won’t have to sleep with hunger. Amazing surroundings, the waterfalls, the mini zoo, just beautiful! Would definitely stay again!

The Peace Lodge is such a wonderful place to stay. I absolutely love everything about the room, bathroom and the outside balcony. The La Paz waterfall reserve is a great place to explore. This is my go to spot everytime I come to Costa Rica.

Overall, the property is very well maintained except for the Falls Trail. All the other trails are well marked and provide excellent views of the forest and waterfalls. The staff are exceptional and assure that that all your needs are met. We were traveling with our 90-year old mother & they provided a golf club to transport her up & down the hill when we needed it. Food was excellent and the servers were very attentive . We loved our room and really enjoyed the views, the hot hot tub on the deck as well as the in room amenities. We will highly recommend this lodge to all our friends traveling to Costa Rica.

A beautiful property with everything you could possibly want. Comfortable room with a fabulous view, we were only there for one night, the breakfast was delicious. Access to the La Paz Gardens and Waterfalls was a plus, take the time to explore the property. Just a short drive to POAS National Park. Be sure to go early as the clouds build very early in the day, By 9:30 the Volcano was socked in. We were there in the rainy season - taking a raincoat everywhere you go is a must.

A very beautiful property! We woke each morning to the beautiful sounds of the birds and all the various animals waking to the morning. All of the staff were so personable and shared more than the beautiful things at the resort but about the area close to the Peace Lodge. If you are looking for a romantic spot it is wonderful but you may want to ask for a room to be away from the pool as the children get very excited when visiting that area. Muchas Gracias to Michael, Pablo, Greivin and the entire Peace Lodge Staff.

Outstanding, Amazing, Breathtaking
I was 100% blown away by this place. The attention to detail, the BATHROOM!! Was one of my favorite parts and I’m a guy!! I’ve stayed in some higher end places, not frequently but enough to know which fork does what- this place is head and shoulders above EVERY resort I’ve been to. “Excellent” and “10/10” don’t do this place justice. The workers there 100% care, they don’t just put on the customer service face (I’ve worked plenty of customer service I can tell). This place is well worth the cost of admission. They could charge double and it would still be worth it. 100% I will return next time in CR. All these photos were taken on the resort property with my phone, a guide helped with some of the night ones, but again, amazing, breathtaking, just go!

Mixed feelings about our stay
On the one hand, the property location is a paradise. Access is super easy to the well maintained, constructed, designed trails for any person able to walk and wanting to peacefully and safely enjoy the beauties of the La Paz waterfalls and the rainforest. I would recommend doing all the trails, all are delightful. The property also features nice general areas that are great to enjoy such as the trout pools, the jacuzzi and pools by the restaurants. On the other hand, the property is presented as an ultra-luxury one, which I would argue against. For example, we had a bit of a sewer odor in the bathroom, cheap coffee maker, plastic plants in the bathroom, cheap hair dryer and ultra-marked-up items in the minibar, including regular brands water being sold for $4.50. No water was provided as part of the service. There is such an excessive nickel & diming that made me feel so skeptical that I didn't buy anything else from the hotel. Furthermore, the room feels pretty outdated. Yes, we had a terrific view from a large balcony, a cozy fireplace, a comfortable jacuzzi, nice hammock, and very comfortable bed and sheets, but the details in the room don't really make one feel in an ultra-luxury hotel. I didn't feel taken care of, and that is the essence of a hotel on this price range. I would stay here again if I find a very good deal, knowing that I would still eat in the area restaurants, so with a car rental.

It was so peaceful. We got the upgrade with tub in room and balcony. I told them it was our anniversary and they gave us complementary chocolate strawberries, and wine. It was so sweet. The staff was friendly and nice. We really enjoyed our stay. It’s little steps to get to room and stuff but nice lol. You can’t beat the view. It’s about a 50 min drive to city but a nice scene of driving there. I would definitely stay there again. Loved it.

Outstanding property. Staff is exceptionally friendly. Jose at the Big Trout Pool is an absolute all-star and just a genuinely amazing and friendly person. It’s a wonderful place to spend your first few days in Costa Rica before exploring other destinations. If breakfast were to be included in the room rate it would be even better. Food is a little bit expensive.

I absolutely love this place! This is my second time staying here. This time I brought my family. And although the room was not as grand as the room I had the first time two years ago, my family was still very wowed by it. The bed is the most comfortable bed I think I have ever been in. The pest control is amazing to not have any bugs in our room in spite of being out in the middle of nature. The walking trail to the waterfalls is amazing. The waterfalls are breathtaking. The property is awesome with so much to see and do. I highly recommend this property and plan to come back again with my other nephew within the year.

This Property was Amazing! The hot tubs in the apartment were very nice to have with the cool climate, the fishing posd was very fun with nice sized trout. Feeding the animals, this is a must to get a close look at Sloth, hummingbirds, and Tucans. The outside hot tubs were very unique and in Very Beautiful spots! The only part that I didnt care the most for personally, was the dinner. Going to different countries, I love to have the local cuisines, the dinner was an expensive meal, it was good, but i just like local foods. I would still give what they had a 5 star rating, the waiters were attentive, and the food was out in a Very timely manner!
