We stayed here for two separate nights on each end of our trip to Salt Spring Island, one in the classic and one in the panoramic. It is a beautiful and quiet area. The rooms that back the golf course are so nice, and have lovely balconies as well. Both times we backed the golf course. The beds are cozy with ample pillows, as well as a very spacious room.
The location is not convenient if you are flying, but we had lots of time and a car rental so it was worth it. It is quite a steep drive up the mountain so I would not stay here in the winter or when there is slippery conditions unless you had a good vehicle. There is not much for amenities around the hotel (a sports bar and a fancier restaurant within a 5 minute walk) but most things are down the mountain, about 7-10 minute drive.
The nice deep soaking tub makes up for lack of a pool/hot tub. Breakfast was simple muffins and fruit but was perfect for us.
