“Colton Loft was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities that one would wish, situated in a beautiful quiet village with the helpful host living just next door. The 3 local pubs Plum and Partridge, Carlton Inn and the Fauconberg were all very good. Exploring York was also easy with the use of the excellent Rawcliff Bar park and ride.”

“This accomodation has been the best we’ve experienced so far on our trip. The bed was large and comfortable , the living area and kitchen were just right and the bathroom with bath was wonderful . It was lovely and quiet in spite of being close to shops. It was easy walking distance to bus station and pubs. Overall a terrific place to base ourselves whilst exploring Yorkshire. And we loved the heated floors☺️”

“The Sty is a wonderful conversion. It’s spacious and has everything you need, including some lovely extras like slippers and dressing gowns; the latter we didn’t need, but a nice touch. Being able to do our washing in the middle of a 5–week multi-stop trip was very convenient, especially with the nice big drying rack and iron and board. Car access is a bit tight, especially when you’re used to lots of space, but we managed!! Angie was very helpful when we arrived - the lockbox is hiding in plain...

“The communication for this rental was excellent. Every facet of the apartment was explained in a well-crafted binder with useful information about the city, transportation, appliances, etc. Great host, would definitely stay again. (Just note there is no laundry).”

“House was fine for our stay, nice touch by the owner to leave milk & biscuits on our arrival. 10-15 minute walk to the Bootham end of the city walls. All in all house was a fine base for a weekend in York.”

“A very handy location with easy on-street parking right in front of the house. Well-equipped kitchen with complimentary, quality coffee and tea. Clean, up-to-date bathroom and towels with quality complimentary shampoo and shower gels. Comfortable master bedroom (as in photo) with good quality mattress, though the other two bedrooms had much lower beds which had less comfortable mattresses. Overall, accommodation was fine for a family of four, though there was no wardrobe hanging space available...
