L'unica nota positiva della struttura è il fatto di trovarsi in una posizione privilegiata sulla spiaggia di Nungwi. Per il resto, per il prezzo pagato i servizi sono praticamente inesistenti: biancheria vecchia e sporca, pulizia della camera carente, colazione arrangiata in qualche modo (per il modico costo di 10 dollari a persona), lettini in piscina rotti e malconci con materassini sporchissimi, inesistenza di una stanza di cortesia per cambiarsi se dopo il check out si vuol rimanere al mare qualche ora in più... Il personale in reception a qualsiasi domanda risponde allo stesso modo: ci dispiace ma non è possibile. Abbiamo mangiato una sera al ristorante... esperienza da non ripetere. Non so, secondo me per 90 dollari a notte c'è molto di meglio. Non lo consiglierei.

ottima struttura a nungwi direttamente sul mare ; bella piscina, pulita e grande e ci sono lettini per tutti e box tovaglie affianco ; Camerieri gentili ; ho mangiato spesso qui fronte mare ed era meglio di altri ristoranti più recensiti della zona, buona anche la pizza ; nella zona bar fanno vedere sempre le partite del campionato di calcio inglese ; camere pulite discretamente ma le porte e finestre hanno fessure da far entrare qualche insetto o lucertola ; colazione discreta ; verso le 19 ogni sera se ne andava via la luce per qualche minuto; belli gli spettacoli vari che si svolgevano ogni sera (nel periodo natalizio)

Senza infamia e senza lode
Abbiamo soggiornato all'Amaan nell'Agosto del 2018, una volta arrivati ci hanno mostrato una camera che abbiamo rifiutato per la posizione e loro hanno accettato di mostrarcene altre, alla fine abbiamo optato per una camera sul retro della piscina, sicuramente in una posizione migliore delle altre che ci avevano fatto vedere. la camera era abbastanza ampia con un comodo letto, mentre il bagno ha sicuramente necessita' di una rivisitata. Detto cio' ritengo che la struttura sia in una buona posizione al centro del villaggio di Nungwi. si presenta pero' come una grande struttura piena di camere un po' troppo ammassate tra loro a mio avviso. il ristorante si trova su una bella palafitta sul mare con una bella vista. noi avevamo la colazione inclusa nel prezzo e credo che anche questa si da rivedere un po'. direi che in una struttura simile la colazione a buffet sia il minimo che si debba offrire agli ospiti, invece apparte the e caffe e i panificati, tutte le mattine si e' costretti ad ordinare un solo piatto ai camerieri a scelta tra 5 opportunita'. ti viene portato un solo mini bicchiere di succo di frutta accompagnato da uno scarso piatto di frutta. La struttura mette a disposizione i teli spiaggia. La spiaggia di Nungwi si trova a pochi passi dalla struttura ed e' pubblica, basta percorrere la passerella che corre parallela al mare e attraversa diverse strutture. D'altronde Nungwi e' fatta cosi'.

The property was great. The pool was convenient and there was plenty of sun chairs for the amount of guests. The resort has everything you need from a convenient store, massage, PADI shop and two restaurants. The happy hour is great but the food is so-so. The hotel staff are kind and very helpful. The staff at the restaurant are kind but sometimes on island time and orders aren’t always correct, which happens sometimes. Overall would recommend. The AC in our room didn’t blow all the way to the bedroom as it was in a corner. The fan breeze somehow could not go through the bed net. And the washroom stayed fairly humid and warm.

Definitely worst resort I’ve stayed in throughout my trip. Came here to enjoy a nice vacation with my wife & was provided with a twin bed room with no working AC. We complained about not having a queen bed and AC like we paid for & was told to sleep for the night & everything would be handled the next day 3/4 night we slept with nothing resolved. Good luck getting any refunds from these people but I guess you get what you paid for. Price definitely reflects the state of their “resort”.

Super séjour mais l’hôtel peut mieux faire Cote fraîcheur de la chambre la Clim est faible malgré réclamation et beaucoup trop bruyante obligée de l’éteindre pour dormir Pas de rideau de douche Le service du restaurant est beaucoup trop lent parfois pas agréable ni accueillant et trop cher aussi par rapport à certains voisin avec vue sur mer Enfin je regrette que comme nous avons pu le vivre chez les hôtels voisins que la plage ne soit pas privatisée et que des chevaux passent sans cesse et défèquent alors que nous sommes dans l’eau

En general todo me gusto seguridad burn ambiente muy bonito limpio pequeños detalles que no me gustaron personal muy poco comunicativo incluso no es muy agradable no saludan ni mucho menos dan una sonrisa los únicos muy agradables son los chicos de los restaurantes eso fue una cosa la otra fue cuando podré e una ensalada que era mango y avocado a mi no me gusta el mango pedí sólo avocado pero fue imposible no me dieron lo que yo quería yo pagaba por supuesto pero no era mango y avocado di no no era posible darme solo avocado lo encontré irracional un hotel de calidad y no poder hacer algo por un cliente fue lo que ensucio un poco mi estadía pero lo demás hermoso

The location is great!! Extended power outage, 2 non working generators, excessive amount of flies during breakfast, Beach towels are sparingly given even though you are charged for them..and the place was empty..The resort needs renovations immediately!!! Staff is kind, but poorly trained. Management comes across at times hostile and condescending (Training Training, people skills is seriously lacking..)

Met by a member of staff who seemed shocked by my arrival even though they arranged the taxi. Don't arrange taxis through the hotel they add a lot on! The only people who were friendly were the mini market staff, 1 cleaner and 1 of the reception staff, literally no one else smiled or wanted to give the time of day! Got ignored more than once in the restaurant when there were less than a dozen people in there, the staff are uninterested. Would have spent a lot more on the site except for the attitude and unfriendliness of everyone. Room was dark and basic. Remember to leave the clean/don't clean sign out or your room won't get touched. Pool was murky and the cleaning was done during it's open hours, the cleaner actually managing to catch me with the cleaning pole. This place could be lovely but it wasn't. I booked into another hotel for my last night as I couldn't be doing with dirty looks and attitude. It's cheap and on the beach, the location bring it's saving grace!

After a hectic few days in Stone Town, Amaan was the perfect way to end my Zanzibar holiday. I initially booked a room at Kanjibange Bar, which ended up being the wrong place for a solo older female. When I texted my new friend Maskat (the incredible woman who manages the Learn Traditional Cooking with Mama's of Zanzibar (best cooking class ever - a MUST if you are into learning Zanzibar cooking / culture) how uncomfortable I was at my hotel, she suggested I book at Amaan Beach Bungalows, and I was so glad she did. It was clean, comfortable, with a lovely pool and great massage right there on the property. Steps to the beach and Maasai shopping and easy walking distance to lots of restaurants. Great choice!

We moved out after the first night due to it being unsafe and dirty. I tried to get a refund as I paid in full and the reception refused even though I paid for 13 nights, but only spent 1 night there. The bathroom had no water pressure at all in the shower so was unable to wash. Bedding was old, thin and dirty. It took the staff to go inside 4 bedrooms AT NIGHT to find one that was empty, they were opening doors whilst guests were sleeping in there rooms, whilst we stood there. They had no idea what room was vacant, this is dangerous and unsafe. At my own expense I have had to book another hotel for the remaining 12 nights. If you can help me process a refund as they said I had to go through Expedia and as you will see I am an Expedia gold member and use you all the time. I look forward to your prompt response.

The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of busy Nungwi area with stunning beaches. We stayed here over New Years Eve which was definitely worth it. It has a great outdoor swimming pool where we spent some chill time on daily basis. The room was regrettably quite dark and bathroom rather dirty. We were also provided with twin room instead of prebooked double. The staff were simply disinterested and rude- at one point we were served by a waiter who was clearly under the influence. Unlike all other places we stayed at in Zanzibar, breakfast was not included and instead offered for $10pp which we happily declined. The restaurant has amazing view overlooking the beautiful beaches and is a great sunset spot, but the drinks and food are very overpriced compared to others available within short distance. Overall we would rate this average at best, rating this 3 stars mainly for its great location, little outdoor seating area in front of the room and access to pool.

Lage und Umgebung perfekt. Leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wasserversorgung des Appartements öfter defekt, Safes in den Zimmern können nicht genutzt werden. Nur Schließfächer an der Rezeption. Wifi in manchen Bereichen schlecht. Aber wir werden wiederkommen!

Kind regards to Amaan family, totally recommended
First of all, huge thanks to Mr. Arshad who helped us get an assistance from a local doctor when my wife suddenly felt stomach pains. Mr. Arshad also coordinated with Mr. Gallen at the restaurant so that they could prepare some porridge (not even on the menu!) and deliver to our room, as she needed mild food to stabilize her condition. Staffs at Amaan cared us until our checkout, continuing to remain as a good memory. Next best thing about Amaan Bungalows is its location. Just next to the shore, you can use the swimming pool or the Indian Ocean as you wish. It is very close to many restaurants, bars and diving centers in Nungwi, allowed us to access any places within 15 minutes by walk on the seashore. The accommodation itself was great, with ever-ready hot water for shower. Roof was big enough and stretched to cover exclusive chairs at the doorstep - best place for drying your wet swimsuits, smoking, and even enjoying the rain if there is any. We also liked the breakfast, which offered a decent choice across bread, sausage/ham, baked beans, omelets cooked by order, and others. As in Zanzibar, we could get a plate of assorted fruits for each person every morning. We had some random mixes of orange, mango, papaya, banana, watermelon, melon and jackfruit. There could be other fruits, depending on the availability. All in all, totally recommended if you are looking for a well-rounded place conveniently located at the center of Nungwi.
